Elua flopped next to him and thought a moment. "I...don't remember much about my blood family. Just vague dreams that hold my mother's face. My cousin Eisheth found me. She Sees things, like your mother, and found me that way. But...I'm happy with the family I have. Leru the serval is my Mom. She raised me and taught me how to love life and find the beauty in the world around me. And we have creatures that come and go in our little group...and they become family and friends." Her smile was a rapturous one. "I remember the faces and fur of each one."

Tama rolled over again and nudged Elua's neck. "I'm glad you made such a family. I think...family isn't just who we are bound to by blood. I think it's those whose souls mesh with ours." He nodded. "We just have to find those individuals, and even if we don't stay with them, our memories of them never fade." He purred. "Stay with me for a bit? I think our souls mesh nicely."

Elua chuckled and churred. "I think you're right, Tama. Family is a complicated, beautiful thing." Her smile was bright and cheery now. "Of course I'll stay for a bit. If nothing else, you're a wonderful conversation partner and treat for the eyes." She leaned against him, glad for another pretty one who wasn't looking for just a night alone. "You're a beautiful soul too, Tama. I think after this...I'll come visit when I can."
