Ranza nodded. "I live here in the city," she replied, though she'd often wondered what it was like to live somewhere else. "Durem's nice, isn't it?"
She personally loved the old-world architecture. It felt... dramatic. Sometimes she could turn a corner and feel like she'd stepped into an entire different world.

"Yeeeeeeeees! I like the streets! They're fun to walk on!" Ebby stated happily, pointing to the ground to emphasize her point.
"Durem is quite lovely. I wander around here a lot." Bailey intoned, closing his eyes as he smiled.

"Cobblestone's got that effect," nodded Ranza, and turned her attention back to Bailey.
"You do?" she asked. "That's funny, so do I! But I'd never seen you before the party."

"I have odd luck." the boy said with a shrug and a wink. "Plus, sometimes I'll always end up sidetracked with all of the people around to meet."
Ebby grinned big up at Esperanza before she asked a question that had been burning at her. "Where'd you get feathers?"

Ranza blinked down at the purple girl and then patted her feathers awkwardly. "I was born with them," she replied uncertainly.
"Why are you purple?" she asked, just for emphasis.

"Fair enough," nodded Ranza, rocking back in her chair.
"Let me tell you, Bailey," she laughed, "You're a better older sibling than I am."

"He's better than Lua too..." Ebony muttered before glancing over at Bailey again.
The boy blushed a bit purple. "Oh? Why is that?"

"For one thing, you can actually tolerate them," replied Ranza, laughing. She almost tipped backwards and decided to keep her chair's legs firmly on the ground. "I make a point of ditching my sister - can't have her slowing me down."
Her stomach growled audibly. She blushed.

"That's not necessarily true. I have to go out on my own sometimes to get away from being in charge all the time, and I don't tend to tolerate Kahlua for long. But he's kind of whiny and anti-social, which is why." the red snake-boy explained, smiling as he spotted Elisa approaching again - a tray of drinks in one hand and a metal rack to put the pizza on in another.
Soon enough, there was a nice warm mug of cocoa in front of Ranza, a coke in front of Bailey, a fruit punch in front of Ebby, and iced tea in front of Absinthe. There was also a piping hot pizza in front of them, which Bailey kept lightly whapping Absinthe's hand to keep him from touching.

Ranza laughed again, because she knew how that went, and took a careful sip of her cocoa. It was just the right temperature to warm her up. She took a few more swallows and then turned her attention to the pizza.
"Looks good!" she declared, helping herself to a still-steaming slice.

Ebby waited, neck craned towards the food, until Bailey cut and handed her one. She didn't want to get burned - which she'd nearly done a few times at home - so she'd wait till big brother said it was safe. Luckily for her appetite, he was soon dishing her up a piece, and ones for Sinny and himself too.
It was almost amusing, seeing a boy of Bailey's apparent age, cutting a slice of pizza for a toddler. Sinny may have teeth but it was hard for him to eat large things without making a huuuuuuuge mess, so the older boy made sure to cut his food.
"Be careful eating this, Sinny. You don't wanna get burnt, or make a mess."
