Slythor grinned. "Yeah." He looked as Zuba thought about leaving. She had a point. To leave would also mean they would no longer be bothered by that horrid woman. He grinned again and even his bird seemed to understand, being remarkably silent. He took Zuba's hand and started walking out.

'Zuba grinned, a small giggle escaping her mouth as they headed towords the door. Not only would they get away from the mean lady and see the other animals, it would be causing mischief. And mischief, in her opinion, was very very fun. She kept her eyes on the group director, making sure that she was still distracted by the others. After all, what good would it do them if they got caught?

O U R A D V E N T U R E
Slythor made sure to be extra quiet as the two escaped unnoticed. Once outside he broke into a run, dragging the girl behind.
Once they stopped, they were well away from the shark tank. He howled in joy, and his bird flapped its wings and squawked in equal joy. The bird then flew to 'Zuba and landed on her shoulder, affectionately nibbling an ear. They were free of the overseer, and now what?

'Zuba ran behind him, her claws clicking against the ground as she did her best to keep up. One they stopped, she gave out a light, tinkling laugh. She grinned, petting the bird gently. "What's name?" she asked, wondering if her new feathered friend had a name as well. She began walking slowly towards the nearest animal exhibit, curious to see what kind of amazing creatures were there.

The bird squawked gently and nibbled on a bit of the girl's hair before stating his name in a matter-of-fact way, bobbing its head. "Blue!" He cried out. "Blue! Blue!" He cried out over and over again, flapping his wings.
Slythor laughed happily and pat his bird. "Blue's still learning to speak. He's still excited about it." He laughed gently and followed her to the cage. The nearest exhibit contained a tiger lazing about on a heated rock.

'Zuba smiled lightly, turning her head slightly to look at Blue. "Nice to meet." she said softly, petting his head gently. She then looked to Slythor, the same small, half-smile on her face. "Can tell. Speaks very well." she said, barely nodding her head. She turned her head back, gazing into the cage at what appeared to be a very large kitty. She climbed up on one rung of the fence, trying to get a better view of the plaque. "Tiger." she read outloud, figuring that was the kitty's name.

Slythor stared. "Cool tiger." He grinned softly. It's been a while since he's seen a tiger in real life. He found it kinda cool. A huge, lumbering beast with obvious muscle and the ability to cool. It made him excited to think of how beautiful something like that was. Beautiful and powerful, like the... An image came up. The Bantam Bouncers? Almost immediately their catchy tune played in his mind and he shook hsi head to get the two singers out.
"I want one for a pet."

"Pretty kitty." 'Zuba said, smiling slightly as she nodded her head once. "Want one too." But one thing bothered her; why on Gaia would they keep such a pretty kitty locked up? Uncle Matthias didn't lock his cat up, nor did anyone else she know that owned a cat. Strange. Then again, adults did have rather peculiar ways of doing things. "Poor kitty. Locked up." she murmured, frowning slightly.

Slythor thought to himself for an answer. The tiger yawned, sowing large claws. The tween snapped hsi fingers."I know why!" He shouted. "The tiger's big and scary. It'll eat little kids!" He spoke, nodding. "It's a wild animal y'know. It could hurt lots of us if that happens! So they cage the animals up so people don't get hurt. Besides, I saw this on TV once. Some evil hunters try to hurt the animal for its skin. So it's protecting the tiger too." He grinned.
"Let's go other places!"

'Zuba shook her head in disagreement. "Pretty kitty wouldn't." she said, confident that something as beautiful as that would never hurt anyone. Why would it? She paused, nodding as she seemed to accept the second part of his reasoning. "'S to protect from bad." she agreed, a grin spreading across her face. "Go." she said, smiling slightly as she darted off down the path. "Go!"
She skidded to a stop a bit of a ways down the path, looking at an exhibit of absolutely adorable koalas. "Teddy" she called, recognizing the animal from one of her sister's stuffed toys. "Moving teddy...." Now she was confused. Teddy bears weren't supposed to move, were they?

Slythor watched 'Zuba stare at the koala. He saw one of them on the discovery channel once. "I know what that is. It's a koala. t comes from Australia." He mused, walking over to the little plaque they had for the creature, showing a picture and some information. He read that they were very rare and that zoos help keep the population alive. "There aren't many of them left..." He spoke softly, before turning to the girl.
"The koala came all the way from Australia!" He announced proudly.

'Zuba looked up at Slythor, listening intently. Wow....he knew everything! Well, he knew a lot, anyways. "Aren't many?" she asked, tilting her head to the side before reading the plaque. "Mean people. Cut down home." she said, the look on her face conveying the hatred she felt towards people who'd hurt this cute, cuddly creature.
"Traveled far..." 'Zuba said, nodding and smiling slightly. She couldn't imagine going that far from Mother and her siblings. She turned her head, glancing down the path way. "Coming." she stated, tensing up. She could here someone coming their way!

Slythor nodded and grabbed Zuba, dragging the two so that they stood in a shadow of the cage. "Shh." He whispered. The koala crawled over to them, chewing its leaves slowly while staring at the two hiding children questionably.
Slythor tensed up, holding on the Zuba tight and whispering very quietly. "If they find us we attack and make a run for it. "

'Zuba nodded; quiet wasn't a problem for her. She frowned, trying to wave the koala away; as cute as it was, it could still get them caught. She glanced at Slythor, nodding once and flexing her claws. Attack...that was definitely something she could do. She breathed slowly through her nose, being as quiet as she possibly could be.
The woman from earlier paused infront of the exhibit, glancing around. Why on Earth she had to look for them, she had no idea. But, rules were rules, and even if they weren't kids in her view, she still had to watch them until their unfortunate parents came to take the little terrors back. She flicked on a flashlight, since the sunlight was gradually depleting, and began scanning the area.

Slythor tensed up and waited for the flashlight to fall on them. When it did, he grabbed it and tossed it away so they could be cloaked in darkness. From there he grabbed 'Zuba's hand and made a run for it far away from the person. They had to run far and fast.
