This past Friday was the last time I'll ever march Musica Fuerte (this season's show), but we'll be playing it one more time, on Thanksgiving. This season really did go by quick, and my school even had more competitions this year than last. Well, actually, the whole marching part of the season isn't over; we're marching in the NYC Vet's Day parade on Tuesday, but I'll be wearing a different uniform, because of color guard >.> Then after that, no more marching until May.

An OC SuperTone Finally, this years marching seasons' over! Now I can put away my Bass drum in peace, with no more blisters on my hands or feet for practically a whole year!!!! Don't get me wrong. I love Band, it's just the rehearsals are really irritating when you have it twice every week, with Percussion ensemble practe to follow it, making practice end at 8:00. HA! I laugh at you. I end at 9. Anyhow, im going to miss it as this was my first year. crying

mine was over 2 weeks ago since we didn't make it to state. the judges messed up the scores and because they did, we missed going to state by .02 pts!!!!! that pissed me off, especially cause this is the first time we didn't make it to state in like 6+ years

I love Band, it's just the rehearsals are really irritating when you have it twice every week, with Percussion ensemble practe to follow it, making practice end at 8:00. OMG that's exactly how I feel! I played bass 1 (again) this past season and as much as I miss marching band already, I don't miss the blisters from my new sticks or bruises on my vag from my new rack XD All we have left is the Thanksgiving game. crying Championships was like 2 weeks ago, where we got 3rd (.7 points away from 1st. It was REALLY close this year) and high music. It was amazing because our director, who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, showed up and was able to watch us perform. He even handed our awards to us. I cried haha. Percussion ensemble for us probably won't start till after christmas break, but we're having our 1st meeting on the 2nd. I just hope I'll be able to balance it with this pageant I'm doing at the same time. whee

i loved competition band. it seriously makes my life. it gives me an excuse to leave my house and hang out with a bunch of people and fool around afterwards. everyone complains about the hard work and i hate it too, but for me, marching is work and my work is my play. i enjoy it so much. my first season (i am a junior) ended oct 19th, early this year, and i wish i woulda done it sooner.
