((Thanks! I didn't think of that! I need a picture to put in his tome of the book though. 3nodding ))
Angelus chuckled and nodded in agreement. Knowledge is very much power. The winged boy appreciated the boys devotion to books and learning. Most children just wanted to play, but Angelus knew that one could balance work and play at the same time.
I guess anyone who comes to Gaia is bound to come upon a creature of sorts. Silent doesn't have any humanoids. Mainly creatures of all shapes and sizes. I'm sorry to hear about your home. Where you live now, do you like it better?Angelus couldn't imagine having to leave his home now. He wouldn't know what to do or think. Hopefully Lance liked where he was.
Angelus tried to pick up his pace with the adults. Darn them and their long legs. >.>
Silent looked behind her every now and then making sure the kids were in view.
Silent cocked her head to the side at the woman's comment. "Really?" she replied in the same low tone. She didn't want to disturb the childrens conversation. She nodded in agreement. "Angelus and I aren't around much for him to meet more Tales. I wish I was but with work and home... It's a lot of work let me tell ya." she chuckled.

((I have a couple of book pictures that I've made, and Pales and I are opening a bookstore minishop. n_n So~ <3))
Lance knew, just as Angelus knew, that there was much more to the world than just play. Devotion to learning was part of the code Lance had sworn himself too, but that wasn't the only reason he loved to read. It was for a personal enjoyment. Nothing pleased him more than a good book.
Lance considered Angelus's question for a moment, before replying slowly, "The house is really big. Mum gets lost sometime... And... between you and me... It's kind of creepy... But I'm a knight! I have to face my fears, whatever they are, so,"
He shrugged a little, shy about admitting such a thing to the other, but... It was the truth, and the truth was always the honorable way.
Lance too, had to pick up his pace to keep up with the adults, but he'd long since learned what pace he needed to keep to stay in step with Dragonfly.
"Mhmm," Dragonfly nodded, a soft sigh escaping her, "Sometimes I worry that he's just a little too absorbed in becoming a knight... He'll hole himself up his room like a monk! It worries me,"
She chuckled very softly, before nodding in agreement with what the other said.
"Aye. Life's distractions can be a bit of a pain, and especially tough on children," she agreed.

((That's great! Thanks! heart ))
Angelus cocked an eyebrow at the dragon. "A creepy house, eh? I've had my fair share of those. It gives me the creeps sometimes." He shivered unconsciuosly as he remembered some of Silent's relatives abodes. Creepy. Very creepy.
Angelus smiled. "That is what knight's do. They face danger head on." Angelus could tell that Lance cared very deeply about the knights code and such. He was an interesting fellow to say the least.
Angelus matched the Tale's pace and kept up witht he group easily. He thought about flying but thought against it.
Silent listened to the woman with utmost attention. She shook her head, knowing what the woman was giving through. "Angelus gets like that sometimes. But not because he wants to be a knight. He's... a loner at times. Doesn't want any contact at all when he gets in certain moods. He won't leave his room for hours. At least you know why Lance stays in his room. With Angelus.... I don't know half the stuff that goes on with him." she sighed. Her little misfit. She couldn't help but love him.
Her eyes fell to the two behind them. She smiled.
"Tough children they are." Angelus could overhear most of the adults conversation. He was thankful for his heightened senses. Listening to the adults, he cocked his head to the side in confusion. What was wrong with being along sometimes? Mom's.... You can't live with them. You can't live without them.

"Really creepy," Lance confirmed, nodding his head.
He couldn't help but grin widely at what the other said about facing danger head on, and he beamed proudly, knowing that he was doing his best to do just that.
Dragonfly smiled at Silent, before turning her gaze to focus back to the front, lest she walk into something.
Again.
"Sometimes kids just need there space," she murmered, tilting her head up to look at the sky ever so slightly, "When I was a kid I know I liked my space. I'd lock myself in my room to get away from my nanny,"
Dragonfly nodded her head again, smiling fondly at what Silent said about the two being tough. How right Silent was.
Lance was not so fortunate in overhearing their convorsation, as his hearing wasn't as keen as Angelus', and thus he didn't really focus on the adults' convorsation.

Angelus smiled at the dragon. "Definately creepy." he nodded in acknowledgement.
His eyes looked ahead of the group. They were soon coming up to the bookstore. He grabbed Lance's hand in excitement and pulled him toward the shops doors. "Hurry! We have to see what they have!" Angelus was a reading geek, he'll admit, but it did not bother him at all. He was nearly giddy with excitement. The bookstore not only housed books, but music and old weapons. It was a grand old place to visit from time to time.
Silent nodded to Dragonfly. "It's best to give them space. Sometimes." It was not healthy for a child to be alone all the time. Silent laughed at the image. "From your nanny? That must have been horrific to say the least." she chuckled.
Silent was about to open her mouth again to start a conversation, but Angelus nearly flew past the adults with Lance in tow. Silent laughed. "Someone's excited." Her eyes rose up to the store ahead.
When they reached the entrance, she opened the door to the let everyone else go in first. "Here we are." she exclaimed. Just like Angelus, she was a bit excited at the prospect of buying new books. She nearly bounced in joy, but restrained herself. She loved knowledge and books and experiences were the key to obtaining it.

Lance blinked as the other grabbed his hand, and he grinned as he ran towards the bookstore along with the other. He was just as excited as Angelus was at the prospect of looking through new books! It was always awsome to bring home something new.
He laughed excitedly, pushing his way into the door, after the other of course, just to be polite.
"You have nooo idea," Dragonfly replied in response, laughing softly, and shaking her head, a wide grin upon her features, "She was a nice woman though, just extrodinarily strict,"
Dragonfly grinned widely at the children's excitement, keeping her own at bay. There was nothing like a brand new book fresh off the shelves to curl up with in front of the fire in her library at home.
"Here we are indeed!" Dragonfly chuckled, before thanking Silent for holding the door open for her, and entering after the children.
"Lance, you can pick out five books okay? And you know to make sure you stay in this store, but otherwise you're free to run around. Just don't cause trouble! Not that you will," Dragonfly fretted, catching Lance's wrist before he could take off, "And stay with Angelus!"
Lance nodded his head, grinning widely at his mother, before looking to Silent, and hoping that it was alright with her that the two explore the bookstore by themselves, if only for a little while.

The Fallen Angel thanked the dragon for letting him pass. Angelus froze in the middle of the store. Shelves lined with hundreds of books. He loved it. He could spend his whole life in store like this.
"Ah yes. Tough love. I know how that goes." she chuckled, regarding the menacing nanny in Chibi's childhood.
Silent's eyes followed the two excited Tales as they made there way inside the story. She was also excited at the prospect of new reading material to read before she slept. She nodded to the woman as she let Chibi passed and finally crossed the the stores entrance.
Silent listened as Chibi gave her Tale instructions. Knowing Angelus, he would get lost somehow. She would do the same. "Now Angelus. You can pick out a few things as well, but do not go overboard. You can easily bankrupt me in this kind of store." she joked. She nodded in agreement with Chibi. "Yes. Both of you stay with one another." she didn't want the two getting into trouble, even though Angelus was notorious for it.
Silent reached into her pocket and retrieved a few coins. She divided them among the children. She gave half to Lance and half to Angelus.
"Buy a snack if you get hungry." she smiled at the two. "And have fun."
Angelus smiled, thanked his mother and Chibi, and pulled Lance into the direction of the shelves lined with books. He wondered what new titles he would find today? They could start off at the medieval section. He was sure Lance would like those type of books.
Silent smiled as she watched Angelus drag the dragon around. She looked to the woman. "I hope Lance is ok with Angelus' excitement. " she laughed.

Lance bowed his head, and thanked Silent curteously for the pocket money, before turning to look in wonder at the rows upon rows of books
"Yippee!" he cried, before doing a dramatic cartwheel (with one hand closed around the coins, of course) before he landed on his feet, grinning widely. It was his turn to grasp Angelus' hand, waving goodbye to the two adults, and taking off into the library.
As soon as they were out of hearing range of the adults, Lance stopped, and turned to look at Angelus.
"Where do you want to go first?" he asked, having run directionless before now, and having wound up in the Biography section.
"I'd say that Lance is just as excited," Dragonfly chuckled, watching as the two took off into the depthes of the bookstore.
She sighed a little, taking a sidelong gaze of all the books in the wonderous store, before looking towards Silent.
"You didn't need to give Lance pocket money, I had more than enough for him. However, thank you," she smiled brightly, fishing out change from her purse, the equivilant of what Silent had given to Lance, "Here, I'd feel badly if you don't take it,"
Dragonfly smiled softly, before looking back to the shelves of books.
"So where would you like to start?" she asked, before laughing brightly, and grinning.

Angelus smiled as it was the other Tale's turn to pull him along now. His brown eyes scanned the old books that lined the mahogany shelves. The fallen angel pondered the question.
"Well, this is the biography section. How about fantasy?" he thought outloud. Maybe the dragon was familiar with the tale of King Arthur. If not, Angelus would introduce it to him.
"Not only Lance, but Angelus as well. It's definately nice to know that Angelus gets excited over books instead of other things. That's a weight off my shoulders." she chuckled at the woman.
Silent raised her hands and shook them in front of her. "Please. It was my pleasure. Money is not an issue at all." Living for as long as she did, she reeped the benefits of saving money for years and investing in many things. She had more than enough money to spend.
"Don't feel badly. How about this, you can buy me a coffee and we'll call it even." she offered.
Her eyes flitted about the store. "Well... How about the history section?" Silent loved to read what authors had to say about the past, a time period she lived through and knew exactly the way it was.

"Fantasy sounds fantastic," Lance grinned, proud of his use of alliteration, and even prouder for knowing what alliteration was.
He paused a moment, letting his hand fall away from the other's wrist as he craned his neck and stood on his tip toes, trying to see any sign that mide lead them in the direction of the fantasy section, but to no avail. Lance was just far too short to see the signs hanging high above the bookshelves, beneath the luminescant lights.
He sighed a bit at this realization, and turned to face Angelus, shrugging just a little, "Dunno where the fantasy section is, do you? If you don't- well. Maybe we could make this into an adventure!"
A wide grin split upon his features, and he nodded his head, swishing his tail excitedly behind him.
~*~
"Mmm. Books are almost the best thing for kids to get excited about, I think," Dragonfly murmered in response.
Slowly Dragonfly retracted her hand, putting her money back in her pocket with a sigh, and a grin.
"Alright, you've got a deal. I'll spring for coffee, and then I won't feel so bad," she chuckled.
At the suggestion of the history section, Dragonfly nodded her head. History definitaly sounded like an interesting treat today. It wasn't a section she tended to frequent often, but that was mostly because she was usually searching for other's, and not herself. She did love history, though. It especially intrigued her since she had no incling of her own history. Who knew, maybe someday she'd come across a story about her own family origins..
Not that she'd ever know it, if she did.
"Sounds like a plan to me!" Dragonfly grinned, looping the other woman's arm, and heading in the direction of the hanging blue sign reading 'History'.

Angelus smiled at the idea. "Adventure it is!" He could always fly to the tops of the book cases and quickly find the section, but where was the fun in that. He looked around him. "Where do you think we should head?" he asked Lance. Silent smiled and looked about. "History first and then coffee. It sounds like a plan."
Silent looked around the bookstore to look for signs. "Do you know which way that section might be?" she asked her companion.
Before her questioned was answered, she felt herself being swooped towards the section.
"Well that answers that." she laughed aloud. She was having a good time.

"Mmm," Lance looked thoughtful as he tried to logically think out where the adventure secion would be.
He hummed a bit, gazing up at the roof, before smiling softly.
"Weell. The fantasy section is usually near the adventure section- and in my experience, adventure is usually near... sci-fi, I think,"
Lance gazed around again, before walking towards the end of the row they were in.
"But the question is, where are those sections from here?"
Dragonfly chuckled, and walked right past where Lance and Angelus stood wondering which way to go. She purposly didn't notice them, knowing that Lance at least, wanted to be on his own, and figure things out for himself.

Angelus' brown eyes scanned the area before them. Bookshelves block their vision to the signs. These were a few disadvantages of being 3 feet tall.
"Sci-fi, sci-fi, sci-fi..." He whispered to himself. It was no where to be soon. An idea came to mind. "We can start walking around and see where we'll end up." He commented. He looked to Lance to see what the dragon thought.
Silent put her finger to her lips and pretended to be quiet as they adults walked past the children. They were enjoying themselves and Silent wasn't going to ruin that. Both females made their way to the coffee shop of the bookstore. Hmmm.... This is where it got hard. What drink did she want?
