Faster? She liked faster - and the fact a teacher was willing to do it. Utterly gleeful! It even showed with that too wide smile of hers. Another spin of her tiny frame and this time when Kuyoja struck --
Cleo hadn't expected that sort of strength. Too often practicing with 'normal' her children her age or maybe not enough time with Tyven. Kuyojas' hand got too close, the barest of brushes of fingers against skin. While her hand had jerked up like she had planned on, had been taught to, but she hit his arm much too late.
Hand on her cheek and the goldcrest hopped back, gracefully as one could. She stared at her teacher, eyes wide, huffed, and stomped a small foot.
"Tyven is faster than you! How did I miss?" Another chest heaving huff, Cleo falling back into a defensive position. She wasn't perfect - her sort of bird was fluttery, fluffy. Speed was not their forte. "Again? Or should I go home and poke Tyven into smacking me around again? I shouldn't have missed! You shouldn't have gotten me!"

At the mention of his other student he only shifted a bit rolled a shoulder to loosen a tense muscle before going back into the ready position.
"Yes..Tyven has speed, but you forget your not fighting her..you can predict her actions. I am not her." he stated rather bluntly. For fighting the same opponent over and over again you got use to them..and this is why he decided to teach it kept his skills sharp as he had to encounter all sorts of people.
"Again." He stated simply before moving towards her again. Singely focused once more, though he seemed to be repeating the same move as before at the last second he slid down and used a leg to sweep through her legs to knock her over.

"Again!" Cleo's voice rang out in a crow, her fist flying into the air in a sign of triumph. Again again again! Her head sounded like a hyper puppy, even to herself.
That next time, Cleo didn't wait for Kuyoga to reach her first, not entirely. Her foot slid forward, one small fist feinting up and towards his fingers, not his palm. The palm didn't have the ability to hurt him but those tender digit did.
A foot out - he attempted to trick her?! Cleo sprang her little form up, one leg jerking up and to Kuyoja. An opening to grab her? Sure. But it was still an opportunity for her to kick his face in. The pros outweighed the cons.
(AN: No, she doesn't dislike him. Cleo is just nuts and gets into fighting. XD Promise.)

His reaction time seemed to be a bit slow, perhaps he hadn't expected her to be quite so limber or flexible. Soon enough there was a foot was up in the air, looking about ready to try and give him a good kick in the face.
Shifting he slowed his body, not stopping but changing his momentum as he grabbed her leg by the ankle to prevent it from giving him a pair of broken glasses.
Taking a step back he twisted the arm holding her forcing her to either turn or fall down.
