I actually find the Sonic X comics more enjoyable than the original series of stories. They're more fun, quicker and appeal to my kid nature I guess.
The mainstream has just got so dull, and makes very little sense. I cant remember when I last read an issue properly x.x

That, unfortunately, is what happens when Ken "The Ego That Ate Mamaroneck" Penders gets left at the helm. I'm counting the issues until Ian "Potto" Flynn is in full control, and we actually get someone writing who knows what the fans want, rather than what they think we're too dumb to appreciate.

Wow, zombie thread : P....
Ah well, anyway, I'm actually surprised that the most recent issue is....well, DECENT. At least art-wise....That's one of the reasons I could never get into it (besides the rather dull storyline).
But mostly, I picked up the issue for the nostalgia value. The cover art of Sonic and the gang behind a birthday cake is good enough to hang on a wall, and I just loved how the story revolved around the old school.
Now if the series could stay at this high point....

I LOVE the Sonic X comics! I have collected them since they came out. Unfortunatly I don't have a comic shop here where I live, the place I get them from is a store that has Warhammer YUCK! I hate that game. Anyway he has a small rack of comics where I get my Sonic comics from every month, I even have a box there so when the new issues come out he puts them aside for me in my box and then they don't get wrecked whilst being put into the sometimes over stocked rack.
But I love the Sonic X comics. Don't kill me! *hides away from pitchforks* I have seen that some people don't care for the new artist. I have to admit, I never noticed.

I've not managed to find a copy, although to be fair I've not been looking that hard. But worry ye not, no pitchforks shall be raised in anger in here biggrin DW

Tim Smith III? I originally thought Tracey Yardley was drawing the Sonic X series; but I pulled out an issue and, sure enough, there was the Tim guy. It's odd... I thought Tracey said he'd be working on that series.. oh! Apparently he's penciling it later on in issue 6. He came to my school earlier this year(he's a SCAD alumni...oh wait, so am I now ;_; )... he's a really nice guy and an avid Sonic fan. I talked with him about my chances of getting on board with them, and he said they were next to nill because he's their main artist. He said he'd have to be dead first..heh. Oh well, maybe someday.

Are finals and job-hunting the reason why I haven't seen you around here recently? I've been wondering where you got to. smile

heart !!! XD That's pretty much it. Since I'd been to the forums last, I took care of finals, graduated, moved to Atlanta and started hunting for art jobs. I took up working at some random place so I don't starve to death. *6.6 The art thing is pretty slow for now...which is what I expected, but hopefully I'll be attending a couple cons here to spice things up. How have you been?? Did I miss much?

Not a lot. I won't be in Atlanta for Dragon*Con this year, though - I lost my job last December, and I'm on too tight a budget. sad

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that =( I'm still trying to hold my own myself...but it helps to live in the same city the con is located in. Otherwise I wouldn't go either.

i prefer tracey's art work so much more to tim's. he seems to get propertions wrong and some of the characters look a bit odd on some pages.
i don't collect sonic X any more, but read my sister's issues. so far the only comic i've loved is the one with the dark chao with chainsaws in it. brilliant! ^^
