"Cheetahs, actually, if I can find them." He pulled his other wing to his back and shifted until it lay flat. "The way their body moves when they run is fascinating, as well as how fast it moves! I'm always sure to never land when they're about... I don't think I'd be able to take off before they caught me, and I know I certainly couldn't outrun them." He batted her ears back and stuck his tongue out, "what about you? What do you do in your spare time?"

Umicho smiles brightly as Daniel tells her about cheetahs and hpw they run. "Wow, that would be interesting to watch, wouldn't it?" Hearing his question she stops and thinks for a moment. Surely her lifestyle would be boring to him. "I enjoy swimming. I love to run and dive off of cliffs into cool lake water on a warm sunny day. I can swim beneath the surface for about three minutes." She looks at him, quite admiring him.

Daniel raised his brows, "Three minutes? Wow... That's impressive~" He hadn't done any of those things for awhile - aside from diving off of cliffs - and hadn't ever considered trying them. "You're probably a good swimmer, then, if you can stay under water that long."

She smiles at him. "Well, you need a good push off. That is why my legs are so strong. I've done this for a long time." Seeing him wondering about how, she decides to explain. "The trick is to breathe in deeply, then breathe out all the air you can and dive. You can stay under longer that way."

"I see..." He watched her excitement and couldn't help but grin. "I've never tried it, but I like to think I'm strong."

She smiles up at him. "I'm sure you could be under water for five minutes or longer. You look very strong." Her tail swishes as she tries to think of something to do.

He chuckled, "Perhaps we'll have to try it some time." He looked around a bit at the landscape before returning his gaze back to her, "What else do you like to do? Few lions spend their whole time in the water."

"Well, I roam the area quite often looking for others to meet, things to do. I hunt every so often and just run through the fields to feel the wind in my fur. I know that sounds boring, but it is all I have here unfortunatly." She blinks a few times and looks up at him. He must think of her as a waste of time.

She looks up at the sky as he motions upward, smiling. "Your right Daniel. I bet I could keep up with you on the ground." She grins playfully.

"Oh do you?" he replied with a sly look sliding over his features. "I don't agree at all. I bet I'm faster - my wings are probably stronger than your legs."

He chuckled, "I don't see why not. I haven't started a flight from the ground in awhile, though. So that could be interesting..." The thought seemed interesting to him, actually, though he could see something bad happening, judging by his luck with previous land-to-air take-offs. He generally preferred to jump a cliff... But in this situation, it just wasn't practical.... Or fair.

"So you want to race me then?" She grins and backs away a little, stretching her legs in preperation. "Where to where? You choose." She felt really excited about this. To race with a lion that can fly! It's a dream come true for her. She just hopes her clutziness doesn't show.

Daniel looked down the river bank. About 350 yards down there were some rapids, and it was a flat path the whole way. He figured that he could get a good take off with still a decent distance to fly, and the flat ground made an even run to his flight. "How about those rapids down the river? Whoever passes the end of the rapids first, wins."
