Hmm, I think it would just be easier to direct you to my DeviantArt page. Not everything is environmentally related, but I have some pretty waterfall shots, some flowers, and a few shots from around campus. I'll try to remember to get some of our lake up soon, it's gorgeous.

ohh, did someone say something about pictures of pets? hehe. Well, here's a few.
User Image
This is my horse Griffin. The picture is probably about 4 years old, and he can't do that anymore because he's broken. He has Osteoarthritis in his right hind fetlock joint as a complication from a surgery to remove a bone chip. Now he's a very friendly pasture ornament at my trainer's barn.
User Image
This is Jeb, he's the horse I'm assigned to care for for my stable management class at school. Actually, that class has ended, so I don't have to take care of him anymore, but I volunteered to keep him because I luff him even if he is a grumpy old man with pidgeon toes.
User Image
And this is Mack, who I bought after Griffin broke himself. He's an 11 year old Thoroughbred gelding. I had to sell him before I left for college. crying So now he lives with a 14 year old in Idaho.
User Image
And there's Mack again
User Image
And Mack taking a HUGE leap over the little log... heh, he was fun to jump.
User Image
This is my cat, Jazz. I miss him.
User Image
Jazz again. He's a rather large cat, but convinced that he can fit into small spaces.
User Image
And my other cat, Bug. He's actually my brother's cat, and he named him Simon, but... I started calling him Bug because I thought it fit him better. Which is does, and no one has called him Simon in years.
User Image
My dog, Mandy, hunting squirrels or something in the snow. She's a beagle/German Shepard mix. Yeah, I know, strange breeding.
User Image
Mandy again. She's around 12 or 13 years old now. We're not really sure, since she was a pound puppy years ago. But she's a good dog.
User Image
Ducks.... and Jazz again
User Image
I used to train llamas... his name was Oberon

I think that's enough for all of you for now. smile Keep in mind, I haven't seen any of these animals in over 2 months since I left for College. It's rather depressing.

Thank you! And yes, Jazz has quite the personality. He thinks he's a person, I swear. He was only 4 weeks old when I got him (kittens should be weaned no earlier than 5 weeks, and 6 is ideal). Some lady had showed up at one of the area middle schools on the last day of school with a box of kittens and one of the girls at my barn had taken one home. Her mom got home and politely reminded her of her allergies to cats. So, Steph took the kitten to the barn to give it away and I talked my mom into letting me keep him. I had to bottle feed him for three weeks, until he chewed the n****e off the bottle (I have a whole new respect for mothers after that :shock), he couldn't walk, and his eyes were infected and glued shut. He slept with me in my bed every night for the first few months, curled up against my neck to keep warm. I was always his Mom, so he thinks he's people. Now he's about 5 1/2 years old, 16 lbs. in the summer, 18 in the winter (he gets all rolly polly when he's not outside chasing bugs all day) and he loves to fit into small spaces and drink out of odd containers.

Here are a few pictures from a trip I took last year- one of the stops along the way was the Hoh rainforest in the northwest United States. Many people don't know that we have a rainforest here, but we do. We also made a stop by Cape Flattery- the furthest northwest point in the United States- which is a rocky, cliff-lined coast with some great views. We visited some beautiful gardens, as well, which I would post but I don't know if they count as nature photos or not.^_^' The trip was quite an experience, and I'm sure the pictures don't do it justice, but I'll share a few here and there as I get them loaded up to my Photobucket account.^_^

The Hoh Rainforest was covered with hanging moss and beautiful mushrooms- the trees were large and healthy, and the whole thing just looked like something out of a fantasy novel. Here's one of my favorite pictures from the forest:

User Image

I called this picture "In the heart of the forest," because the way these two trees had grown together, and the red tinge the wood gained from the setting sunlight, made it look like a living heart to me:
User Image

The animals who lived in the forest have by now become fairly used to the tourists who come through. This elk doe was lounging by the side of the trail and walked almost right up to me, stared at me for a while, and then leisurely grazed her way down the footpath in front of us. I think she startled us more than we startled her.^_^'

And one more shot of the forest floor before moving on- these trees were so graceful:

User Image

This is a water cave from Cape Flattery- lots of crane-like birds were making their homes in rocky outcrops such as these, and who knows what you might find if you were able to go into one of these caves? It'd take a lot more than we had to enter one, though, because these cliffs are sheer and high, and the water below is powerful and freezing cold. Nobody's climbing down there to investigate, so I guess the animals that live there pretty much have it made.^_^
