Tic Tac shrugged slightly just shaking his head. "Aye, but to me all that matters is that my daughter is taken care of." He clentched his jaw, he was a little dissapointed that he couldn't take care of her alone, no matter how hard he tried. He then looked up at her and nodded. "Do not be sorry for me. I know others have been through way worse." He couldn't help but to say. He looked toward her. "You've bound to have been through some hard times?" He nodded.

Artemis shrugged, "Not I, no. I've been fortunate to have been protected, both by the Gods and by myself. Perhaps some day you'll be just as fortunate... As will your daughter." She shrugged again and sighed, "It's much of a long story, though, as I'm sure everyone's past is." It's not that she was depressed by her past - it had been her choice, and she was quite satisfied by it. No, she channeled other lion's depression and loneliness, so at times, she was forever thrown into it. She was familiar of the feeling, and couldn't help but pair it with pity when she received it from others.

Tic Tac smilred slightly. "Thank you, I really hope that things do get better for us." He nodded, he really did, he wanted the best for his daughter no matter what, even if that ment putting him behind. "I have the time." He said to her long story comment. He shrugged slightly. "My daughter loves spending time the the female they wouldn't mind I'm out late, and I'm quiet curious." He nodded, he really was.

Artemis shrugged, "Well, it's probably a bit unbelievable." She sat and wrapped her tail around her paws, momentarily circling herself with a ring of moonlight. "My brother and I were sent here by our father to create a pride on these lands. He had heard of the turmoil that happens down here, leaving many, many lions broken in some way. He wanted us to create a place where all lions could be safe and give themselves time to heal in a safe, friendly environment. Originally it was a plan for just my brother, but..." She shifted a bit and cast her glance upwards. "When I was a kit, I was aware that love caused pain and distracted from goals. I asked my father for a favor - I asked him that he make it so I would never fall into that trap, neither in feelings nor in lust, so I would not have to suffer through it, and would, perhaps, be able to help others. When he offered my brother the chance to come here, I wanted to follow. It took me a little longer than him to get here, but the pride was already established and hidden away from all lions but those seeking its safety. I am now the protector of the pride, since we are small, and also my brother's adviser. We work together to keep the pride safe, so those lions will not have to worry about anything, at least for a little while."

Tic Tac blinked a few times at her story. "Wow..." Was all he could say at first. He sat back, taking it in for a moment. "Well. I accutally do belive you. I've heard more crazier things in my life." He chuckled but then his face softed. "Your life sounds like it has its own down falls... Other then your brother you sound like you don't have much other family. And if you have no feelings how can you have children with some one. To me not being able to have children is its own hard time." He shook his head then looked at her with a soft smile. "But then again you never know." He nodded a bit, she was a pretty lioness and he had to admit it.

Artemis frowned, "I have feelings of my own, as well as channel those of others. It is simply love and lust that I lack, and feel better without. The pain I've felt through others has been, at times, unbearable. And perhaps I can feel them. I've had no experience to offer that opportunity." She shifted a bit against, having some trouble getting comfortable. "As for having cubs... I've devoted myself to helping others recover from their pain and loss. That is fulfillment enough. And my brother and I are very close, and he has a mate, so she, too, is part of my family. And my parents are always with me, and if I so choose, I can visit them whensoever I choose. It's just a bit of a journey." She finally decided to lay down, and lifted her head up from her front paws to look up at Tic Tac.

Tic Tac reached a paw out at her and nodded. "Well Artemis, maybe its not good that you can't feel love or lust? Your current state of mind might see it as a distraction but... How do, or did, you know it is a distraction if you never truely felt it yourself, Hm?" He wasn't meaning to offend her, and that was the next thing in his mind. "Terribly sorry, I didn't mean to offend you if you did. He decided to also lay down, tucking his wings a little tighter to himself. He nodded to her. "But I do see your points, it a life style you have choisen. I wouldn't have been able to be brave enough to do that."He looked down shrugging.

Artemis nudged his paw with her nose, "I'm not offended, but it was a choice I made when I was young, and have had no time to think on to regret it. Nor do I plan to think on it. If it were really meant to be, perhaps my wish would be broken, since even the Gods cannot play with fate. Even I do not know how those things work, and I suspect my parents do not, either."

Tic Tac smiled just slightly as she nudged his paw. He flicked his hair out of his eye then sat back slightly thinking. That was a lot to think about. "Well... You have a very good point there, I do understand your state of mind." He then shrugged. "But as you said fate plays over the gods, and if a god took away your lust or love, maybe fate could change that." He shrugged once more. "Thats just an idea though. And If it does maybe its for a reason." He then looked at her. "Maybe fate has already ruled over you... Maybe you do have feelings of lust or love, you just havn't met the right person to being it out in you?" He looked at her with a soft face and a arched brow.

"We'll find out, perhaps. Or perhaps not, depending if the right lion ever comes along." She smiled up at him, "I just trust fate and led it decide my ultimate outcome for me."

Tic Tac chuckled a bit and then nudged the female gently. "I really hope, truthfully, that you can meet some one that you like dearly, and can one day feel lust, and even one day have children." He grinned slightly then shifted while he was laying down.

She smiled gently, "Well, and I hope you find someone who can help you raise your daughter and care for you... You shouldn't have to choose." Artemis shrugged, "If a child grows up with an unhappy parent, they can sense it... There's no need for you to suffer."

Tic Tac looked at the female with a large smile, he really hadn't heard that kind of words from pretty much... anyone. "Thank you, Artemis. You are a kind female." He nodded her to, to a point he was loosing his trust to many females, but not that he was thinking about it... This female might have pretty much brought his trust back. He streached out a bit, spreading his wings just a little bit. He still wasn't that sure if he was ready to head back. And this female was really keeping his interest at the moment, he felt pretty comfurable.

Artemis smiled and watched him quietly. She didn't want to respond to his words for fear of saying something to devalue them, either to him or to her, she wasn't sure. She was just happy to know that she was being helpful.

Tic Tac sighed through his nose as he looked around. The current quiet bothered him justg a bit, he didn't know why, it normally didn't but right now it was bothering him. He looked up at the sky deep in thought almost compeltly forgetting about the company that was with him at the moment.
