I know three or four people who make websites and code/run servers for a living. Main problem is, they hate Gaia with a passion so I don't know if I could get them to agree to help us do anything that is in any way even related to the idea of Gaia. .-.;;; I can try, but no guarantees.

Vampire Lemons I know three or four people who make websites and code/run servers for a living. If we are a counter gaia group (as essentially we are trying to prove Gaia wrong) sell them on that point! Really push it.

Well we aren't a counter Gaia group, we don't want to beat gaia, but we do want to show it where it's going wrong.
And some peeps from the Computing forums, are looking over the guild, and are...going to give some hefty criticism of the idea's.

We may not be completely anti gaia but we're trying to prove them wrong. So we could use that....

Whatever the actual selling point we could use them as the Romans used their allies. Detachments of auxilary troops. As essentially we're trying to recreate the first moments of Gaia (like trying to recreate the big bang lol) we should avoid using dedicated coders from outside our group BUT using them in real crunch times would be a sensible application of the resource.

I mean the ones Vampire Lemons was talking about. I don't mean actually paying for coders. Stupid idea.

Hehe. Depends if the site pays for itself or not, and if the users want to get a permanent paid for coder.

Proper coders might be a bit of a late phase option.

Not just late, they'll be pretty much last thing...ah yes, and everything has to be tested as well, on another server (aka not a live server)

I have dream weaver, and a few other programs for web development. I know a little CSS, just like I know a little of everything else, but not the whole cake sweatdrop
:/ I also think we should maybe build a crappy temporary forum somewhere, so we're not sitting on gaia while we do this.
Just my opinion.
