"That's a question for the ages, isn't it?" She couldn't rightly answer since she didn't know. When the horse started to bounce Ivy tightened her grip around Raken's waist, "Sorry." She said with a blush. "Oh, that will be fun!" She wasn't sure what to have him create, "Then maybe I could make a flower that shape to show you my power?"

"It is those sort of questions that intrigue me the most. No matter how much information I gather, there is always something I will never find out." His eyes widened slightly at her tightening grip, unused enough as it was that someone was so close. If he were more like Dameon or Yuki, he surely would be blushing himself right then. "A flower? Yes, I would very much like to observe your power...Ivy." It was the very first time all day that a name had been used outside of greeting. Not that Ivy was a bad name, on contrary, but it would be a touch repetitive to re-state whom one was talking to when there was only one other around.

Ivy smiled at the sound of her name. It was nice to hear someone other than family say it. "It will be fun to see shadows and flowers moving together." Not that they didn't do that alread, but this would be much faster.

He nodded, almost smiling. Almost. Children were often frightened of his power. Adults were often wary. As both should be, but it was refreshing to see someone besides family take an interest in his power. "What precisely is your power?" All the books on the isle about elders only gave vague descriptions. He'd have to almost start from scratch with finding out about the woman.

Ivy smiled, it was different to talk about her power. Everyone she knew alredy knew all about it. "Well, I can grow things on the isle. The isle is full of seeds, and I can make then grow." To prove her point, flowers started to pop up along the path they were taking.

"I can also make new kinds of plants, that's harder." Next the flowers on the path twisted and turned a kind of black and wispy...to look a bit like the shadow horse, but of course in only color.

"I can also talk to plants and trees. I used to sit up in the trees and have long conversations with them, I still do when I have time." She smiled and the flowers stopped popping up. "The one place I can't do any of this is Dragnid Forest...it doesn't take orders..."

He listened carefully, storing each bit of information into a corner of his mind. He was fascinated by elders. Always was. And while growing flowers was bland and normal, he could see the usefulness in talking to plants. Who knew that plants had a mind? That in itself amazed the demonic to no end. All this time, he never even pondered its intelligence! "I have a sister who lives in Dragnid." Amara. Shes the only one who could live in such a dark forest. "I sometimes wonder why the Gaurdians allow such a place to exist."

"I think it exists because light needs dark? Just as your shadows need light to make them." Ivy nodded to herself, not sure if that was an answer he was looking for. "Are we almost there?" She asked to change the subject.

"But if there was no dark nor light, wouldn't it leave us none the wiser?" He added softly, musing more to himself then anyone else listening. But the male took the others hint, and shook his head. "Since we're going at a slow walk it'll take us a good ten minutes more at least. Do you have other plans later today?"

Ivy could see what he was saying. She hated the evil side of things, but after her elder quest she could also see why it was there. Hard to have one and not the other, or so it seemed.

"Not really. I'll just work in my garden. I have a greenhouse I use in the winter. Soon things will thaw and I will help the new plants grow." She loved spring the best of all the seasons. "What about you?"

"A garden...I would rather enjoy to see yours. Being cultivated by a plant Elder it must be a once in a lifetime see." He wasn't much into gardens, looking pretty and doing nothing for the world around them. But if it was by a plant Elder, it just might be worthwhile for him to see. "And me? Not really. Probably just go out with my daughter to the river for a small break in her studies..." Too little too late did he realize what he had just said. Child. Most pae weren't interested to take on other pae with children already. Would prefer to have their own blood to raise. "She's a good daughter though. Almost one of the smartest pae on the island." Wait, why would he care about her interests in him? The male mentally kicked himself. Was he really that ready to jump back into the 'love pool'? "Do you have any kids?" Probably not.

"That sounds nice." She loved spending time with her kids as well. It didn't put her off at all the talk of children. She had her own and would brag when she could too. "I do. I have two sons and one daughter. Well, I have one adopted daughter as well. I have alot of grandchildren...and more. I think I just revealed my age didn't I?" She giggled, it didn't matter if he felt she was old, she got that a lot.

He loosened up slightly at the mention of an adopted daughter and sons. So, she understood as well the pain of losing a mate? For the first time in a long time, the demonic truly began to relax. Always stiff, always guarded, always cold and by the book...The male allowed a tiny smile, fleeting but true. "Don't worry, I wont tell anyone. I am three years old myself. Which makes me the eldest out of all my brothers and sisters." Which was saying a lot, since he had nine.

OOC: O_____O Ivy broke him. >>Points to raken slowly<< Fix him.

Ivy felt the other pae relax in front of her and she relaxed as well. She wasn't all that tense to begin with, but it was nice to loosen up a bit. "Well, you are old then!" She winked and giggled. "I think I should probably keep my age a secret, I don't want to scare you." She was older than him and remembered things about the Isle that only the really old knew.

"I wouldn't use old per-say." He looked back infront of them as they neared the clearing. "Wise sounds a good deal better." The male commented dryly in almost a joke. Raken never joked. Or hardly ever joked. "How many years young are you?" The horse walked down the path he had long since beaten down with his frequent visits, tail swishing. He pulled gently on the mane to stop the creature before sliding off the back and setting down the basket so he could extend his arms towards Ivy. To help her down of course. Even though the female was taller then he was. "Here we are. Your legs will feel a little strange at first, but it will fade in a few minutes."

Ivy laughed, "Wise that's a good one. Alot of males could be kept out of trouble by saying wise." Ivy felt the horse slow. "I'm four years old, last month actually." She wasn't big on celebrating her birthday as it seemed to come a go too often for her taste.

Ivy slid off the horse and into his arms. She blushed slightly, but it was nice to have someone care enough to help her. Most just figured she was an elder and never needed it. She then walked and he was right it did feel funny. "Ok, that is weird."
