"Mmmn." Was her agreement. The purple-haired girl glanced at Ala, having no qualms about her dissenting opinion. "I dislike the cold." It was weighing her down and making her irritable. "Though I've no problem with the water."

She didn't ask to go inside, though. That would be up to Cleo. Instead, she spoke to Simon. "You're a real fighter." There was some respect in her voice. She could tell he could be dangerous. "Unlike the others." Her thoughts went to the 'gang' that 'tough guys' Terpsichore and Zyanya had been trying to recruit her into. "Your DNA?"

Ala just glared at Simon. Ugh, she did not want to be compared to someone's mother! She walked over and gave him a shove in the chest, which with his bulk turned more into a poke. "Don't you even think that about me!" A glare. "I ain't your mother. I'm just commenting about your stupidity." She turned to head inside when Cleo spoke up.

An arm was raised to show her point. "Fur, water. Bad combination..." Indeed, she was already looking like a drowned rat. "And I would've already been inside if it were for you nut jobs. See ya." She headed towards the nearest dry location, hoping to find some paper towels or something to help dry out her fur.

It wasn't often that he got to go out without an escort, either from his mother or from Than so this was a rather new a fun experience for him. Even the face that it was raining didn't bother him all that much, in fact he enjoyed the water though it was more fun to go swimming in it then walking in it. It helped that the rain dissuaded most people from being out, less people less anxiety on his part. He never knew what to say and on top of not knowing what to say he usually had a hard time of it. Unless it was someone he knew well like Damaris he ended up stuttering out of nervousness.

He was without an umbrella which left his hair and clothing plastered to him but even that didn't bother him all that much and alongside him his dragon partner seemed to be enjoying the walk as much if not more so then him. He was hopping in the puddles to splash, as though there needed to be even more water in the air, his tail swishing behind him as though he thought he could swim in the water falling from the air, and he was sniffing at everything even though it were hard to catch any scents in the rain heavy air.

Everything was going rather well until they turned a corner and found themselves starring at a large group not to far from them. Kliken froze in place, debating turning around and heading across the street to avoid them, it looked like a group of mostly older kids and lots of them... which had him a bit nervous. The only older kid he really ever talked to was Chath and that was for a class...

While he was debating Tural looked the group over to, inspecting them... and then his small eyes went wide upon seeing a familiar dragon, hadn't he seen that one in a class somewhere? Not to mention all the pretty colors among the people standing around. A moment of thought later and the Cruzoor was shuffling forward toward the group to investigate leaving his boy starring wide eyed like a deer caught in headlights before scrambling after him... they were going to get in trouble bothering people!

"W-Wait up T-Tural!" He called after the dragon, hoping to catch him before he made a nuisance of himself.

Nero was walking alone through the rain, Kei had refused to come with him. Nero didn't mind the weather too much. His armor like skin kept out most of the cold and he didn't mind the rain for the most part, it really only irritated his eyes as it dripped into them. Nero had an umbrella, which Ella had insisted on, but he had closed it some time ago. The wind had rendered it useless by wiping it around and soaking him just as wet as he would have gotten without it.

Nero ran through the list of things he was to buy at the store for the next nights dinner. Ella had argued with him about going out, saying that she'd just go out the next day when the weather cleared up but Nero had said that he felt like going out. Reluctantly Ella had caved and given Nero her credit card, told him the things she needed, gave him the umbrella, and told him to be careful.

Coming back to the present Nero looked up and saw a group of people standing in front of him. Not noticing the familiar shark boy on the ground Nero saw that the group looked to be all girls and one of them, the one with purple skin was a D-Corp child he'd met once before at a park what seemed like a lifetime ago. He guessed that a the rest were from D-Corp as well and realized that he probably wouldn't be able to pass them unnoticed. So he continued towards them and once he was close enogh to be heard he said, "H-hello ev-everyone."

"Tessa is not pretty." Medusa muttered darkly, a little malice in her voice. It was true; while Medusa dressed in pretty things that showed off her body and such, Altessa wore rags and didn't really care about her appearance in the slightest!

Medusa seethed quietly, glancing at Cleo and Tyven. They looked tough, but jealousy filled Medusa - what would Tessa want with these stupid people anyway? Maybe this wasn't her type of crowd to hang with after all.

"Watch your mouth." The comment was directed to both Medusa and Alaqua simultaneously, out before the koala began to walk away. Really, she was attempting to be nice, and these two were, to be frank, ******** it up. Tyven and Altessa had once been close, and she didn't appreciate the weird see-through girl talking s**t.

Her gaze caught Medusa's when the jellyfish looked over, and the look in her eyes was anything but stupid. Tyven may have been a fighter, but it wasn't because she lacked brains. "You're simply jealous. It doesn't suit you."

Tyven's attention went back to Simon, promptly dismissing someone she didn't think was worth her time.

Cleo made a face at Alaquas retreating back, and childishly stuck out her tongue to the older girl. Had she been in simply Simons company, she would have said something not quite nice, but instead she just acted a bit younger then she would have.

Had Medusa told her she 'looked tough', she would've gotten a blink of frustration. Bright yellow short shorts and a matching yellow tank top? Touch? With the big eyes and curly (albeit very wet) hair? She liked to think that she looked like a doll, thank you very much.

"I think Tessa is very pretty," Her voice was almost frosty, a haughty little 'sniff!' to it. "Almost as pretty as Tyvvie. Just because you aren't green and grumpy doesn't mean she isn't! You're interesting too but.." She frowned, "Altessa is pretty. So there."

Things were going well, apparently he and Tyven were Cleos only friends... wasn't that a fun bit? Actually he felt a little pride in the matter. He found Cleo respectable enough... Hell, he even got what he'd consider a compliment... and judging by the chick's general demeanor.. she was one of -those-, hell he'd chocked them up to lesbians in about 5 seconds... at least the tall one. But he was a teenage boy... lesbians were quite alright in his book. "Shark... Tiger shark." he noted, "You?" a curious reply... it wasn't for polite conversation, it was just good to know. a, she was ******** purple... and b, if he was giving away his DNA he needed hers... even ground issue.

Though the snake was reasonable about her distaste of the rain... calling a big shark-man crazy wasn't exactly a good idea. Ala was chocking up one or two bad ideas thus far.

And speaking of bad ideas...

He was ripped from what conversation he was having with the other three girls by a shove... attempt at a shove, he remained firmly rooted in place if only because of his bodyweight... it was probably like pushing a sandbag. He would have punched her flat out... if, well, he hadn't realized that IT was a SHE... it kind of came out in the voice when she flipped. I aint yo mama kinda flip too... if he hadn't been touched, he would have commenced laughing...

Infact, he did... mockingly so though... speaking as she turned to walk off "Oh~ I'm so sorry... I thought you were my mom but-- now I see. All that gray, you must be more like my grandma." he nodded with that... smug sense of oh yes that must be it... continuing to mock the retreating b***h...

"What the ********, man..." he glanced to his other three companions... as if to look for confirmation... I'm not the only one thinking this girl is a little crazy. Not like he was blocking the entrance...

It was that point... well, when the girls started bickering about who was pretty and who wasn't (Something Simon wasn't touching with a 10-foot pole...) there were two more arrivals. The first, didn't really phase him... just some background info going on... the one that came into sight that actually visibly shook the shark was--

That ******** ******** had he said last time? Your friends dead... some... ******** dramatic... augh, he hadn't meant it! Nero was honestly the only person he felt cool and calm around. Even Cleo didn't completely match up to that... don't get him wrong, she was the coolest chick he'd ever ******** met but... if anything she encouraged his aggressive behavior. Nero... did neither.

Or used to. This time he wanted to pretty much throw up right there and then leave. A nicer part of the shark-man briefly thought how nice it was to see Nero talking to others again... or more so... talking at all. It had been a long time since that thing with his dad though... But that man-part of simon was quickly shut up by a very trapped feeling shark-part.

He just... stared. Unable to bring any words to his mouth... part of him wanted to threaten him... just scare off the emotional threat. But still it was one of those dark looks... like all hell was about to break loose on this tiny stuttering boy... as if he'd done some great wrong to the great gangleader Hyde. Of course, he hadn't. Which was exactly the issue.

She had not made it far before Simon's comment reached her ears. Anger filled her eyes as she turned and glared at the shark boy. "What. Did. You. Say?!" Ala was nearly shaking with anger and this seemed to scare her dragon companion, for he tried to get her to head towards the coffee shop once again.

"C'mon 'La..." A worthless plea as Ala didn't even listen to the dragon. Which was probably not smart. Instead she looked like she was about to throw a punch at Simon.

Stomping her way back to Simon was hindered by Bob grabbing the back of her shirt and trying to pull her away. "I'll show you..." She muttered, still glaring at the shark boy. If only her dragon would release her so she could pound the snot out of the boy.

Riiiip. The shirt tore and Ala was loose, heading right towards Simon, her fist already flying through the air at him.

The minute Simons mind clamped shut, Cleo noticed. The overly cheerful demeanor slipped just a tad (although at least this time, she meant to do it), and the little thing frowned at her friend. Everyone else around them was promptly ignored as she turned just enough to catch sight of - Oh, he was so cute! All stuttering and kind of ugly and adorable. Cleo wanted to squish him.

Which appeared to be Simons mindset too. Her eyes moved from one to the other, from Neros nervous little stuttering voice and many appendaged self, to Simon and his look as if Nero had just banged his mom in front of him.

Well, she wasn't going to beat up on this cute stuttering whatever-he-was. Simon could, but Cleo was the one that spoke up to him.

"Hello!" She said as she rocked onto her heels, and then back to the balls of her feet, "I'm--"

A riiiip caught her ears. Cleo broke off abruptly, looked at an apparently shirtless Ala (well, my my, look who just broke the mini-lipsticks brain), and then continued speaking.

"--Hyde, watch out. Raging gramma."

Tyven was fast. She may have had two legs, but she had the speed and strength of a striking snake. One arm went to slide around Ala's neck while a strong hand shackled her wrist, a move that would pull the stockier girl back, and quite possibly off the ground, depending on her height. Tyven was almost six-feet, already. Her voice was logical, deadly.

"It would be a mistake to fight. Especially over such a childish insult." Her cold gaze moved from Simon to Cleo, showing her disapproval. In fact, she was only getting involved because of the goldcrest. The second Alaqua stopped struggling, Tyven would have let her go. She wasn't necessarily on Simon's side, after all and wasn't attacking, simply restraining. She answered the shark's question.

"Indigo Snake."

A slight smile lifted the corner of her mouth as she saw Nero approach. Ah, this was such a comfortable group to walk up upon.

Kliken counted himself as lucky, that Tural knew better then to wander into a fight if nothing else... it must have been the run in with the black dragon that made him aware that not everyone was nice. This group was most definitely a group of rather... frightening individuals. They were fighting first with words then physically. He reached out to catch hold of Tural's finned tail to give it a soft tug when he slow down and was able to get the young Cruzoor to return to his side.

Everything in his head told him that now was the time to flee, before it broke into a full scale war between the large group. He patted his hand on Tural's head, "We s-should... um... leave." He murmured to Tural.

They were all to... busy to talk now anyway, not that he thought he could get a word out. More likely he would stand there and stare at them as though he thought he were the next one that was going to get in trouble with them.

Nero froze as he heard a familiar voice. He only caught the last two words "********, man" but those two short words were enough for him. Looking around it only took him about three seconds to locate Jekel sitting on the ground, glaring up at him.

Taking a step back, Nero's extra limbs curled around his stomach as he started to remember the last time he'd seen the much larger shark teen. The convenient store, the other teens' taunting, the sound of the gun firing into the air, and "Your friends probably been dead for a long, long time"....dead...

Nero had to literally shake himself to bring his mind back to the present as one of the girls approached him and said hello. "U-u-uh, u-um..." was all the shocked teen managed to stammer out before a ripping sound filled the air, and suddenly one of the girls (at least he thought it was a girl) who had been leaving was heading back and seemed to be after Jekel. Without thinking Nero took a couple steps forward but stopped as Tyven grabbed hold of the other girl. Now standing there Nero wasn't sure what to do next.

Medusa was about to retort something else before all hell broke loose (in her eyes) and one was restrained while others stood motionless, her lips pursed together as eyes were wide.

She suddenly wished she'd brought Alfred with her.

Sparks began flying from fingertip to fingertip as she started to become a bit more than freaked out, her teeth pressing together as she shook. Attending magic classes would have benefited her, but as she chose to skip classes and do her own thing for a bit... she was now unable to control her emotions, let alone the sparks that were flying between her fingers. This was a bad sign, that she was becoming freaked out.

Medusa didn't know how to handle the situation, so she stood there, unable to decide what to do.

Granny snapped. He can't say he wasn't surprised... or, he wouldn't have been if Nero hadn't given him tunnel vision. His eyes remained dead-set... until... 'Raging gramma' and a loud rip met his ears.

While Tyven reacted first, Simon reacted second... jolting up to his feet and spinning towards the 'threat'... even if the person had no chance against him, position mattered... being on the ground left him in a very vunerable spot. So... on his feet, facing the woman with a large grin and a laugh like... ********, try it. This reaction was pretty much instinct though... out here, not replying to an attempted attack with at least some smack meant you were a pussybitch. And Simon was certainly not a pussybitch.

Simon did choose his next move to be a more chivalrous one... He stepped between the 'fight' and the one girl that seemed threatened by the activity. Dusa... he gave her a wink over his shoulder... "Don't worry." was all he added to that, before he turned back to the freaked out koala. "No reason to start s**t. Just a few jokes, don't get your fur so ruffled." It wasn't an apology... not in the least, but it was something. It meant... we're not gonna fight, unless you force me too... and if you force me to, well... heh.

But he was pretty sure she'd been pacified. Tyven seemed to be a force to be reckoned with... if only by height. The ironic thing was, being called Simon's mom wasn't the biggest insult that it sounded... As much as the teen hated her.

So... even though his focus was taken off nero, his attention wasn't. With Ala contained, he had time to... glance away again, back to Nero. Now that he was standing... heh, he was towering over the shorter than average boy. It always threw him off guard. But.. ********, what do you do... He was put back into that spot with his brain spinning... though, after ala's stunt, he was a bi tless focused... glancing back at Ala atleast once while he was trying to say something to nero.

In the end, the genius could only think of "Hey."... it... well, somehow he felt like pretending it hadn't happened. He had nothing against Nero... but he didn't want to suck it up and apologize.
