She gave her head a toss making no further comment. Apparently he had not received the message that they were not to speak on the subject any longer. It did not matter, there was no message clearer then silence. It was also clear that there was nothing louder then silence either. Her ears twitched unable to hear anything aside from their breathing until he spoke again. It had only been a short moment but somehow it still troubled her.
She gave her head a shake rather glad to have something to interrupt the quiet. "It is unlikely that I will change your name. Even if you were to beg me to." She smirked. It was not the first time she had been asked such a question and by now it was turning into a game for her. She would say 'no' they would ask a question and she would continue to play.
It was a simple game, yes, but it was one of the few ways she was able to amuse herself. The things that the 'normal' ones did were not fun at all.

Axel really didn't get hints easily but he dropped the subject anyway. For some reason, Axel was completely used to the silence. After being alone for awhile, you begin to forget that there's nobody within a mile of you. So of course there wouldn't be much noise but nature tended to have her own sounds. "I see. Even if I begged? That's unfortunate." He shrugged and chuckled slightly.
Looking to the ground, the stallion wondered about what was going on back in the teepee. Chitsa had been worried about him leaving but she knew what was right. She was one of the few people that he cared about in the world. He stretched his wings lazily, sometimes he forgot that he had them. Flying was difficult when there were trees always in the way. "So, do you like flying?"
He knew some soquili didn't know how to fly even if they had wings but at least they had the ability to... He felt like he was making small talk now and that was rather annoying.

"Not even if you begged." She repeated. He seemed to be taking it in stride. Her little smile faltered. It wasn't any fun if he just accepted it like that. She wanted to keep her game going but at the same time did not want to ask questions of him. He was supposed to be the one getting a little frustrated not her.
Her wings fluttered from irritation. Was he playing a game with her or something? That wasn't nice. She was the only one allowed to do such things.
When he opened his mouth she was hoping that he would be playing her game. Her eyes sparkled mischievously at the thought then went blank as his question was asked. She went completely silent and lowered her head. Her eyes shifted to the side slowly to look at her wings. She stared at them, glared at them and wanted to rip them from her sides.
No. She didn't want that. She loved her wings, they were such a wonderful gift from her father. She was, however, a failure. She was unable to take to the skies. Her wings were as useless as a bare tree.

Axel didn't like arguing as it just caused more problems. He shuddered at the thought when he and Wica were arguing about their future. What had become of that argument? And it was incredibly difficult to bother Axel in any way.
Honestly, Axel didn't know how to play games and he was much too oblivious to be aware of any games being played. Raising a brow, he noticed a shift in mood. Was in something he said? She seemed a little angry or... tense, he couldn't tell.
"Was it something I said?" He gazed at her curiously. Maybe she had bad experiences with flying. Maybe he should stop assuming things and let her answer him.

She remained quiet for a moment longer, silently thinking over her wings, herself, and what a failure she must seem. She stomped on of her hooves down and glared past it at the ground. If the ground were not there she would fly, she knew it. At his question she lifted her head to stare at him looking both sad and angry.
She wanted to both pull out his stupid bright mane for asking stupid questions or just leave at the moment. She did neither. Instead she lowered her head again to stare at the blackness surrounding them. "I...can not..." She said softly a frown taking it's place on her face. She did not understand it. Why she couldn't fly. Was it because her wings looked like her mother's painted ones? Her father was marvelous in the air, naturally, he was her father after all. She should have followed right after him but when she had tried she had failed. Why?

The stallion watched her carefully wondering if he should just leave now or something. He didn't want to bother anybody else! The reason why he disappeared into this forest was to relieve the rest of the world of his burden. And now, he was just causing more problems for other people. What was wrong with him? Could he just disappear? He would take that option if it was plausible.
"You can't?" Axel questioned and looked at her wings again. They looked in tact and fine. "Why not? Have you tried or practice?" He felt bad for soquili that couldn't fly but for some reason, he felt even more bad for her. She had wings yet, she could not fly. This world was so unfair sometimes...
He wanted to reach out and comfort her. He caught himself before he tried to take a step and was surprised at his actions. He wasn't supposed to be feeling anything for her or feeling anything at all...

"I have tried..."She said keeping her gaze lowered to the ground. "And...I have failed..." She made no comment on practicing. She did not practice. She should not have to. She had tried several times and had found each time that the sky did not want her. The earth did not want her either, it was why she had been born with wings and she would be damned before she even thought of making her home with the water.
Her lip pulled back in something resembling a wolf's snarl as she thought of all the places where she was not wanted. The only ones who wanted her near, seemed to be her family.
Her pupils narrowed to pin points and her wings flared before she let out a scream of rage pounding her front hooves into the ground as though it were attacking her. After only a minute of this her wings fell limp and she went still. "I do not understand..." She murmured staring at her hooves as they began to blur. Why were her eyes watering like a time like this? She wasn't alone!

Keeping his watchful emerald eyes on her, Axel didn't mind if she vented or even lashed out on him. He should help her but again, his emotions were very conflicted. Should he say or do something? He could do so many things wrong if he took the wrong course of action. Though, he didn't want to cause her any pain. There were just so many things wrong about this situation.
He wasn't surprised when she snarled at him but he didn't back off. Axel moved towards her hoping that she would kick him or something. He deserved the pain. "It's not a big deal." He spoke in a soothing voice, "Really, who needs to fly?"
When he saw the tears in her eyes, Axel was definitely surprised. He never thought that she would cry in front of him. Even though he had just met her, he knew that this was something that she didn't do often. He just wanted to comfort her. In one quick motion, Axel moved next to her and placed his head on her own and sort of embraced her. He felt so bad for making her feel this way. Then he realized what he just did. Oh god. This was so wrong... He couldn't do this... But he couldn't just pull away now, he didn't want to upset her or anything.

Who needs to fly? She did. The one she hunted knew how she looked and would flee on the winds at her appearance. Thinking of this did not improve her mood much. Really it was only helping her dig herself deeper down.
She blinked feeling a rather warm weight on her that had not previously been there. She shifted slightly and turned her head trying to piece together what was going on. She blinked more as she realized that the warm weight was not a weight but the winged stallion. "Fire Spike?" She questioned her voice a mix of emotions, anger, sorrow and confusion mostly. She hadn't noticed him moving really, not that she had noticed much at all.
She stood perfectly still for a moment trying to think over what to do. She should have beat him to a pulp for touching her. She should have pushed him away. What she did do, however, was press against him. "If you move I'll kill you." She muttered sounding utterly serious. "You're warm."

Frowning slightly, Axel just realized the gravity of his actions and how he really needed to be more careful for now on... He knew he should probably just give in to his feelings but it was like a blow to his pride. He adjusted slightly to let her move her head and he looked down on her. The emotion in his eyes was undecipherable but he gazed down at Seraphia with a hard gaze.
Axel didn't know what he should do now. He looked away from her but didn't move from her side. He closed his eyes tiredly knowing that this was going to be a mess if he didn't do something. He didn't want to care about anybody else. He only caused problems and that was the last thing he wanted to do for Seraphia.
All he was certain of right now was that what he was doing was wrong right now. And he was surprised when she didn't lash out at him because that's what it seemed like she would do at this moment. He just stood still and tried to relax.

She was quite content where she was and slowly began to calm. Or rather she began to return to normal. She took in a deep breath and turned her head upward with the barest traces of a smile. She found him without a hint of anything on his face and also looking away from her.
Fury boiled up inside of her once again. It seemed she was not wanted here either. In a flash of movement she stretched her neck and snatched at one of his lower spikes, one of the few ones she could actually reach. With an angry glare she pulled it as hard as she could.
He had not moved so she would not kill him. Ignoring her in anyway, however, was cause for some form of punishment. If he hadn't wanted her near why had he come over to her?

He didn't mean to ignore her but he was just trying to pretend that he wasn't making a mistake or anything. He was just trying to make himself understand that he was alright with his actions for once. But again, it seems like he's done something wrong.
Axel didn't say anything or cry out when she pulled on his mane but his face turned to look down at her. He frowned and tried to step away from her. "Forgive me." His eyes were really conflicted and he had really enjoyed standing next to her. He would have enjoyed it even more if he hadn't constantly questioned himself.
The stallion stood only a few paces away from the mare but he looked at her carefully unsure of what he had done wrong just that he had done something wrong. He didn't say anything and would let her correct him if she wished. Axel felt incredibly uneasy at this moment but his expression didn't convey that. It was more harsh then he really felt and his expression could be interpreted incorrectly.

Seraphia let out a huff of air and tossed her nose up in the air. She looked very much like she was pouting because she very much was pouting. She had gotten nothing out of him besides an odd look, an apology of sorts, followed by a rather cold look. No yelp of pain and she couldn't tell if he was seriously asking for her forgiveness or not.
She gave her head a toss and took in a sharp breath before turning to look at him. "If your intent was to ignore me why did you come over?" She snapped demanding an answer.
She could not figure him out and it bothered her a little bit. No, it was beginning to bother her a lot. She liked the simpler creatures because they made wonderful play things. He did not seem so simple. He behaved strangely and she could not see anything in his eyes. It was all very confusing and she did not like it.

Watching her, rather amused now, Axel was so unsure of himself right now. She looked a little strange though, Axel almost wanted to laugh but he was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to right now. "Uh. I didn't mean to ignore you." He looked at her skeptically because he really didn't mean to. "I was just trying to convince myself that things were alright and that my actions were justified. I wasn't trying to offend you or anything." He spoke almost defiantly. Axel hated it when people made incorrect assumptions about him. That annoyed him a little.
He knew that Seraphia was definitely wasn't a normal or simple soquili but for some reason, Axel really didn't mind that. He waited for her reply knowing that he would probably get another tug of the mane for being so rebellious.
Axel didn't exactly enjoy the affect that this mare was having on him. He was beginning to feel like his old self and he really missed that part of him.

She tilted her head to the side. What was he talking about? She hadn't attacked him when he touched her. Wasn't that a sign that things were alright?
After a moment of sitting in confusion she took a few slow steps forward seeming almost normal. "You do know that you are making no sense at all, right?" She asked stopping about a hairs width away from him. "Why are you trying to justify things that don't need justification?"
He seemed to be more of a puzzle now then ever. She wanted to know what was going on in his mind but couldn't seem to find a good way in.
