Timmy sighed. And the humans were moving away again... He stood and followed, giving the cat one more glance before hand. He trotted up behind the humans, sitting down and tilting his head to try to see what was there. Tilly giggled. Mysterious. "Hey, what's not mysterious in the basement?" She asked playfully. Then she looked around like Gloriana had. "I dunno." She trotted over to a couple boxes and started sniffing at them. "These maybe?" Rosangela stared at Sirius with big eyes, tempted to bop his nose off before she realized he was just playing. She groaned and gave him a soft bat against his tails. She smiled again. "I'd appreciate that." She said, smirking at his elevated paw. Would he really squish a creepy spider for her? She wagged her tail slowly at the brave male.

It amazed Wolfie at how much stuff was collected down here in the basement. Clothes, papers, old lumber and tools strewn everywhere under thick blankets of heavy dust. The walls had been painted in areas in splotchy mismatched patterns. Perhaps at one time there had been dividers down here, she thought. She blushed at Talencia's comment. "I resent that," she mocked in return taking time to pause with the clatter of the wardrobe. "So what have we found?"

He, too, winced at the sound of glass hitting the floor. Slowly, Yoshi got up, tucking what was his stump of a tail underneath him in apology. He whined to let the two know that he was real sorry, raising his head a bit to indicate that he just wanted to join in on the fun. He sniffed carefully around one of the glass objects that had fallen out.
Saiyoko grinned as she slipped into another day-dream, being dragged out by a prickly feeling on her paw. She looked down and saw the black creature, jumping, "That's not!" She whined and moved around behind Tilly. "My name's Saiyoko by the way...." She smiled.
Meskhenet looked back and moved to the side to let the humans through. She felt eyes upon her, and sure enough, the anthro was looking down at her for a brief second. "I'm Meskhenet." She announced, somewhat proudly. After all, it would be rude to ignore him. Even so, she went back to scanning for a hand-hold, giving a soft huff of laughter when her so-called 'guardian' whined about a spider.

Wolfie tugged an old coat out of the wardrobe, stepping carefully over tiny moonlit feet as she did so. The coat was battered and dingy with age but was oddly familiar. "I think this is Uncle Edmund's sea coat," she spoke quietly under her breath, turning over the heavy piece in her hand. The fabric was thick and worn, adorned with gold clasps and do-dads, shoulders padded thickly and the elbows reinforced with patches. It had been darned many times she noted, all in fine seafoam colored stitching, perhaps at once time by her Aunt Bea. "This looks like a sea jacket, right?" She fussed and made a face, preparing to place it back where it came from before a small tug of sentiment grabbed her. Wolfie quickly changed her mind and hung the old thing over the stairs on a rusty beam nail from where they had come as to not forget it on their way back up.
"So what did you all find?" Wolfie asked again, looking from face to face. "I wasnt paying much mind." She blushed a tad and began scrounging about again.

Timmy frowned. What was behind there? Unable to hold back any longer, he weaved through everyone and walked between Korugane's legs to poke his head into the space the cat had been in. "So? How do we get in?" Tilly jumped when Saiyoko did, then started giggling and turned back to the boxes. She flashed the purple wolf a smile. "I'm Tilly!" She said, wagging her tail. She looked briefly at Wolfie when asked what they had found. "Um, boxes?" She said hesitantly. She wasn't sure what was in the boxes though, so she tipped one over. There was a clatter from inside, but the lid had been taped shut. She whined loudly in annoyance and pawed at it.

Talencia moved over to where some were poking around large wooden planks that leaned against the solid concrete wall. Due to the angle, she couldn't peek in very well, so she began pulling the boards away, leaning them up against another part of the wall. When she was finished, wiping cobwebs from her hair and face, something new was revealed.
A door. In the floor.
It resembled a door into a storm cellar, merely set into the concrete floor. She frowned at it, dusting her hands together. "Wolfie... the moonlits have found something... odd." She leaned to trace the edge of the door with her finger. Dust laid thickly upon it, and no handle was immediately visible. She finally gave up and grabbed an old, rotting broom and began to vigorously sweep the dust aside. The cloud of it rose in billows around her, soon reaching to all corners of the basement.
Coughing and waving a hand in front of her face, she finally ceased sweeping and got a better look at the door. It was metal, held together with slightly raised rivets. Inset into the metal at one point was the handle, folded over and tucked neatly out of the way.
Talencia raised her head from where she crouched near the handle, and looked up at Wolfie. "Did you know this was here? Where does it go?"
Morgana watched Wolfie extract another piece of clothing, though that one was much too heavy for her to have gotten hold of so delicately. It'd have ended up on the floor with her teeth-marks in it if she'd tried. But when asked what she'd found, she examined the glass thing in her paws. It seemed quite heavy, made of thick glass, and was shaped like a puffed up bird, its beak tucked securely under its wing. The glass was lovely, all shimmery and made of many colors, like the surfce of a bubble. "We found shinies," she said unhelpfully, eyes fixed on her prize.
Sirius chuckled at Rosangela's expressions as they changed. The more time he spent with her, the less stressed and worries he became. It was a very nice feeling, and he found himself smiling more than he had in months. He nosed her gently in affection before Talencia decided to make life difficult on them all. He curled his nose to bury it between two of his tails, shielding it from the rolling dustcloud. Angling his ears and twitching more of his tails, he invited his new friend to shield her own nose with his tails as well. What good were they if they couldn't be put to good use?

"Boxes.... lots of them." Gloriana said taking another look around. She tilted her head when the room became filled with dust. She coughed and began rubbing her nose. "I hate dust." She said gagging when some went down her throat. She looked towards where Tal went. "Seems they found something over there."
Nanami looked at Yoshi and nodded. "It's okay. We came out in one piece." She said turning to Morgana, "They are really pretty shinies." She looked at the one she had between her paws and stared at it while wagging her tail. She didn't even noticed all of the dust being swept up.
Kurogane coughed and waved a hand in front of his face. "Warn us next time." He growled at Tal, "Do you want me to open it up?" He looked at the uncovered handle and figured that he would be able to lift it while the females might have some trouble. He looked down at Meskhenet and then Timmy. "Kurogane." He said simply to the pup, "Looks like we have to pull on this handle."

Yoshi wagged his tail and pulled one of the glass brids closer. He didn't know what it was, and he didn't care. All he knew was that it was pretty, and he liked it! He didn't notice the dust one bit.
Saiyoko laughed softly, joking, "How about you search all of these, then?" She looked around at the numerous boxes surrounding Tilly, sniffing the one that was knocked over. She laughed again and choked on dust, curling up and burying her nose under her tail, peering through squinted eyes. She sneezed under her tail, and laughed again.
Meskhenet eyed the rainbow moonlit who'd pushed his way past to inspect things, ducking behind Kurogane's leg to shield herself from the dust, closiong one eye. Ordinarily, she didn't mind dust, but ordinarily, it wasn't all in her face. When the could cleared, she looked up at him, then her paws, and the humans, and at his thumbs. "I do hope you mean you pull it." She smirked, stepping back so they could do so. It's not like her small, unaposable paws would do much, anyway.

Timmy shook his head at all the dust and sneezed, hiding his nose beneath a paw. His annoyance at the dust was overwhelmed by the door in the floor. Doors didn't belong on the floor! He tilted his head at it. "Maybe it's an alternate dimension on the other side and the floor is in the wrong spot too!" He said excitedly. "Like, the floor is where the walls should be!" Tilly shook her head in a copy of her little brother and sneezed as well. She looked where Gloriana had indicated, then turned back to the sealed box. With a growl, she pawed at it some more, then started biting and clawing. She wanted to get into it! A sudden scolding voice made her drop the box and whine again. She disliked tape... Rosangela smiled gently at the recieved affection. She was happy Sirius seemed to be opening up a bit. When the air clouded, she blinked rapidly and fought off a sneeze, accepting the offer of a tail for cover. It wasn't until she started fluttering her wings to clear the air a bit that she realized how close their noses really were beneath his tails. She saw a nose to nose touch like humans would see a kiss. With an embarassed gasp, she jumped back and giggled awkwardly while looking at her paws, saying something about seeing another spider. That had been close... kisses weren't for just friends! She shook out her fur and pushed away her giggly-girl thoughts. Then she saw Tilly and grabbed at the moment of distraction. "Tilly, that's not yours! Don't bite it! You might break it!"

This whole thing seemed a tad odd to her. Wolfie stared down at the aged door. "No..." she began warily. "I dont think... I dunno.... did Aunt Bea even know about this?" It was hard not to stare. There were no markings that defined the door as anything important. It was old and blended in so neatly with the floor. Noone would ever have noticed something of that sort on an ordinary trip to the basement. But then again, they had the moonlits for help this time around. "Have you ever seen anything like this? Any of you?" Wolfie looked about the room. "I mean, who puts a door in the floor? Perhaps its a storage space? For important things?" Wolfie paused again trying to grasp at something that made sense. "But then again there is the safe... but that isnt normal either." She huffed a sigh. "Okay, someone has to open it up. Cant leave us hanging here"

((Pardon a bit of powergaming here folks, but we needed to get things moving along. If it bothers you, let me know and I'll adjust what I've written to exclude your characters.))
Talencia nodded to the big anthro, and stood back as the heavy metal door in the floor was hefted open with a clang. A dark opening yawned beneath them, but visible were three steps down, heading towards the outer wall of the basement and house. The flat floor at the base of those three steps was visible, but it was obvious the space beneath the heavy beam that marked the boundary of the house was rather cramped. The space beyond the beam was in shadows.
Tal clicked on her flashlight and stepped down, shining the beam into the space beyond the steps. To her surprise, almost as soon as she ducked her head beneath the beam, she saw steps leading up again. This time there were only two, and she cautiously moved up them and into an echoingly large space. The rest of the group in the basement followed her through, one at a time. The hidden space wasn't so much a room, as it turned out, than a hallway. Wide enough for four large anthros to walk side by side without touching, it stretched off away from where the foundations of the house ended. Doors and doorways were scattered along it, some with doors hanging loosely on broken hinges, others with no doors at all. Some had the doors pulled to, or entirely closed. The sense of mystery and excitement hung as thick on the air as the dust that floated and swirled in the flashlight's beam.
It was time to get some serious exploring done!
((Feel free to rp your crew coming in, or just start from this point and move on from here. Take a look around, be inventive! There is only one room that has a pre-determined setting. The rest can be entirely up to you for now!))

((So we can put whatever we want in the rooms but the one?))
Kurogane walked down the hallway looking at all of the doors. He ignored the closed ones and the ones right at the start of the hall. He walked towards the middle-end and stopped at a door that was falling off it's hinges. He looked back to the group before carefully pushing the door in. It fell off it's hinges with a clatter. He stepped into the small dark room and realized he couldn't see a thing. "Is there a light switch or light bulb or something? We won't be able to see anything if we don't get some more light besides that flashlight." He said looking out of the room at the group.
Gloriana followed the group down and up the steps until they reached the hall. She looked around frowning. It was a mess in here with all of that dust! She glanced around looking for a light switch like Kurogane asked but didn't spot anything.
Nanami was next to Morgana as they walked into the hall. She glanced around before looking back to her new friend. "Shall we go off into the dark and search?" She asked grinning.

Yoshi was still being hypnotized by the amazingly shiny, glass bird. He wanted to keep it, or never let it go at least. He sniffed it and then pawed at it, hearing the loud cling it made. The green, dinosaur moonlit just kept inspecting that one item, that he hardly noticed everyone else was filing out of the place, until a sharp call snapped him to attention and made him scamper, reluctantly, from the glass object he'd made fall from the wardrobe.
Her attention also snapped to the orange, winged moonlit that had scolded Tilly. She nose-nudged her friend's chest-fur in comfort when she had whined, then trotted gingerly over to this new one and the purple moonlit. "Hi, My name's Saiyoko." She smiled brightly, her tail swaying calmly. Then, she looked over the two's faces, and how close they were to eachother. Realizing that she was starting to intrude, she smiled once more and raced to Meskhenet's side.
Looking up at the door as it was easily heafted up by the anthro, Meskhenet felt her eyes widen a bit. Were Anthros really so strong? She shook her head, excited at the steps that were awaiting her, but looked back at a silent, ridiculous looking Yoshi. "Yoshi! Don't get left behind!" She barked, irritated that he had to come with this group, before racing down the steps, stumbling over the upward two-step and quickly righting herself with a leap. She padded around the enourmous hall, the clicking of her claws on the cement echoing. Her head wandered around in wonder, but her demeanor was light--excited. She bounded over to a door that was pulled to, sticking her head inside for a small peek. It WAS dark, but she wouldn't have it any other way. "Yeah...light would help." She chuckled faintly.

Timmy ran back and forth excitedly along the hall. He didn't know where to start! He chose to wait for the others to search around, happy to see what they would discover. Tilly saw everyone else was going down into the hidden door and yipped, not wanting to be left behind. With a sigh, she picked up the box in her mouth and carried it with her, determined to get inside it somehow. Pawing at Saiyoko, she led her to one of the doors that was already ajar and gave it a nudge. Maybe she would find something to open the box? She jumped at the walls, hoping for a light switch. When she found it, a room full of old-fashion clothes emerged, lit softly by a dull yellow bare bulb in the ceiling. Mens and womens clothes alike were hung on long bars, and many screens were pushed to one side. Another bar held long white bathrobes, yellowed with age. She looked at Saiyoko and yipped. How interesting! This looked like it could have been a changing room. Rosangela had given Saiyoko a small smile before going down into the door. Choosing one of the first few doors on the left, she opened it slowly and frowned. So dark... She looked back for Sirius and woofed softly, wanting him to help her look for the light switch. Close to the door, the glow of the flashlight fell on a small ball. She sniffed it curiously, sneezing at the dust she inhaled.

**Fenrir emerges into the dank basement as a bit of dust settles over the now gaping hole in the ground. Being careful not to damage anything (despite the damaged wardrobe and it's load spread all over the place.) Fenrir slides across the cold cement and enters the newly revealed passage way. Silently walking up behind the others and sticking his head into the 1st room on the right** So this is were you have been hiding Lady Duke, Lady Talencia **focusing his gaze and bnowing to each in turn a toothy grin shinging white from beneath his black fur and his golden greaves glinting light upon the walls from the flashlights** What exactly have you all been up to, besides destroying a wardrobe. **laughs playfully wagging his tail**
