Duncan tilted his head to the side looking around the room and wondered what that mean, was there someone else here that he hadn't noticed? The idea made his skin crawl a little... that someone dangerous with the same mentality as what he had when his rage was present could be in the room with them, "I... see." He looked back and forth a moment before his attention went back to Maziel.
"Yes, I feel rested enough." Or at least as much as he could be, it was hard to stave off the sleep but he was determined to do so, wanting to make it through the class before he went to nap.

"You need not worry for your own safety. He's just very suspicious. He's probably counting down the seconds you're in here with me and deciding about how long it would take for you to be here before it gets too suspicious and you may be hurting me badly." Maziel laughed, a bell-like sound. "He'll bring no harm on you unless he feels you're either posing a threat to me or offending him... though come to think of it, there doesn't seem much that he doesn't get offended at." He chuckled.
"Well, try it again with what I've told you. When you get tired again I'll end the session. Then you'll be free to practice on your own time. " Maziel urged. "But before we begin again, do you have any further questions, about me or your powers?"

Duncan decided that it was a good idea his darker self was gone... all he needed was one of his anger induced episodes causing him to attack Maziel which in turn would make the guy hiding in the shadows appearing to kick his backside into next week, "I see..." He would have to be careful around Maziel were he to go and take back that part of himself.
The three eyed boy nodded, "I will do my best." He said, straightening out so that he could get ready to try the magic thing again, "Questions... hmm. If I use the anger in me to channel magic will that... help to keep it from overwhelming me?"

"Well, nothing to keep anger down like keeping the angry busy. I should've given my shadowy friend a rubix cube to play with... Though in frustration he may break the thing." Maziel chuckled at the thought. Every toy in which his brother could not finish ultimately ended up in a million pieces all at once.
"Anything else? If not, try to fire some anger over at... say... something different. How about the fallen leaves of that tree? That'll help in your accuracy and it'll show you what exactly your power does, since its hard to explain." The male smiled.

Keep his anger busy... he could do that he thought to himself with a bit of a sharp toothed smile. It would take some doing given that he had a whole lot of anger when that part of himself was present but the idea that he even had a chance at it was reassuring.
Duncan turned his attention to the fallen leaves, concentrating on them, on the bits of power that he was working with, and he lifted his hand up to aim it in that direction. He let his two lower eyes half close while the other just watched intently as he tried to channel the power and send it at the unsuspecting leaves.
After the burst of power left him the half breed hit his knees, exhaustion hitting him suddenly and hard, "Bah... what a pain." He muttered to himself then looked over toward the leaves to see if he had even hit them.

Maziel smiled gently. The leaves were charred to a crisp, then they turned to dust. He sighed quietly, half of the tree was somewhat singed as well, but it would recover. He got up and walked to the charred side of the tree. He waves a hand casually on it, and it was as if the burning never happened. Then he turned to Duncan. "That was very nice, though it seemed to take a lot out of you." He murmured, walking over to the other.
He placed one hand onto the younger male's shoulder. "Are you alright, my friend?" He asked worriedly. "If you like we'll end the session, so you can get some rest and practice after you feel better."

Duncan nodded, looking the leaves over before giving a happy little sound at his accomplishment, "Cool." He murmured, seeing the leaves were ash now. He leaned forward to lay his hands on the ground before he pushed himself up onto his feet and stretched out all over, "Yeah... I think a nap would be wonderful." He just hoped he made it home before he fell asleep... it wouldn't be as though it would be the first time he had fallen asleep some place random.
He wobbled in place before he lifted his arms up to help steady himself and then looked up at the teacher, "Thank you for the class. I look forward to the next one." He turned toward the door then and started toward the door in a swaying manner.

Maziel nodded and smiled "Goodbye. Practice lots. When you get better I'll appoint another meeting. Until then, see you." He smiled and waved. Then when the boy left someone stepped from the shadows of the darkest corner of the room. A dragon, the size a little larger than a horse, walked up. Its scales were pitch black, its glowing eyes glared at the door before and protectively nuzzling the boy.
"Well hello there, Brother."
