Date: October 5, 2005 Activity: A new guardian.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
He couldn't believe he'd been chosen for a Mishap.
Him! A shifter! With not the most wonderful of Saturday night habbits. He paused. He hadn't thought before about what this could do to his night life. Or even his life in general. What would be living in the HQ be like? Would be be able to date? Form a relashionship? It didn't take him long to conclude that there wouldn't be a whole lot of guys lining up at his door with a kid in the package, nor would it be easy to get time by himself. Glancing about, his eyes fell on the key he'd been given. It had the small, intricate outline of a reptilian head on one side. Was it too late to give it back?
Wait, what was he saying? In exasperation, he shook out the hand he'd been digging his nails into and walked towards the mini fridge he'd dragged into their new HQ room from his old house. He'd wanted this challenge. He still did. He'd find a way to work around the obstacles. Opening the fridge, his eyes looked over the various cans of baby formula and the pair of white bottles. Nodding, satisfied everything was there, he closed the door and fetched a handful of outlet plug from a nearby drawer.
Returning his attention to the room, Pink got down to the business of crawling around on the floor. He'd have to get used to doing that, he thought to himself as he looked for the outlets. They were, of course, mostly hidden behind peices of furniture. Laying on the floor, half on his back, half rolled onto his side, he squinted as he reached for the outlet behind the dresser. Hardly places he'd ever be able to get to -as illistrated by the current situation- but perfect for little bodies and little hands.
The lamps were easier to get behind, as they were only just placed on tables. Only four outlets. The next had a few more. Dropping the remaining caps in his pocket, he returned to the kitchen. When he'd finished, he fetched one of the milk bottles and carried it over to the crib against the far wall.
The room was rather bare of other objects: a few books, some blocks, a ball, a stuffed green cat. Tamary's arrival had been quite a surprise and Pink still had a lot to do to make things comfortable for her. Sighing, he decided it was time to stop fidgetting for the night. His hand fell on the dresser, uncurling to let the remaining outlet caps fall in a pile on the clean wood. His eyes were focused on the crib. His tail, a brown strip of fluff behind him, twitched.
Moving towards the crib, the baby on the other side moved slightly. Tamary, a little green reptilian looking baby, was sucking firmly on her binkie. Even asleep and with no teeth, she seemed to want to eat the bit of plastic whole. Leaning over the crib, Pink carefully scrooped her from inside the crib.
It was such a strange feeling, have a bundle of warm, living flesh laying in your arms. It was incredibly sobering. He was distinctly aware of her smallness, her fragility, her complete reliance on him. He ran two fingers down her plump little arm. Grinning slightly, he lowered his hand to his pocket and retreived the milk bottle. Taking out the binkie, already showing signs of wear, he pressed the bottle between her lips. Watching he eat, he sighed. He'd made the right choice.

October 14, 2005 Activity/Subject: A green cat and a spot of tea.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Chewing mildly on a hunk of bread, Pink set the small loaf in his hand beside the crib. Tamary, fortunately, was awake. She stared back up at him blankly. She had stopped sucking on the binkie and it only remained in her mouth from sheer balance as she lay on her back. Scooping her up, Pink heard the sound of a small unidentifiable gurgle rumble from behind the binkie.
Shifting her onto one arm, Pink took the binkie from her mouth and put it back in the crib.
"Mmm, sleepy girl, have something for you."
Sitting down on the edge of his bed, Pink rubbed a finger over the smooth contours of Tamary's face. She gurgled again and blinked, not liking the strange foreign pressure.
"Fine, fine, I see you want me to get to the point."
Carefully, keeping her balanced in his left arm, Pink bent down to reach under the bed. Murphy's Law in action, the object was not where he'd left it. Squinting in annoyance, he rubbed his finger tips around on the floor, unable to look under the bed, until his fingers hit something soft.
"Hmm..." Picking it up slightly so he could see what it was, the shifter smiled and sat back on the bed. "What do we have here...?"
Tam's eyes shifted to look at his hand as it came into view. Her eyes went wide with curiosity, but no sound eminated from her. A small green stuffed cat hung from Pink's fingers. He kept it a little ways from her face, so as not to frighten her. When she made no sound, he was afraid she didn't like it, and braced for screams of displeasure.
Instead, slowly, Tamary began to smile. An unintelligent splurg of sounds bubbled from her, along with a few actual bubbles of spit. With a sigh of relief, Pink smiled graciously and spoke again in a fake formal tone,
"Tamary Zuleika, I present you with a gift...from Torikonero."
Though the words meant nothing to her yet, Tamary squeeled happily as he finally put the small green doll within her reach. Her fingers wrapped snuggly, tightly around one shapeless arm of the little plush animal. The cat was almost the same shade of green as her own small fingers. Wether she noticed this or was simply enjoying it for unknown reasons, Tam gurgled and wagged the cat as well as she could. Soon though, the poor cat's left ear had found it's way into Tam's toothless mouth.
Pink rested the toy on Tam's belly, letting her knaw contently. From the bedside table, he reached for something else.
"...and a gift from Catherine..." A white and blue japanese tea cup was lifted to his lips. Sipping a small amount of the hot liquid, he lowered it again and looked down at Tam, "...for me... for now.." Grinning, he set the cup back on the tray and stood, carefully craddling Tamary.
Walking back over to her crib, he layed her down on her back, still knawing on the ear of the cat. She stared up at him, her colorless grey eyes blinking at him. A questioning -he assumed- gurgle blurbed around the wet stuffed animal. Pink bent over the crib, resting on the side with one arm. With a few fingers, he stroked the short reddish feathers crowning her head until her eyes closed.

October 19, 2005 Activity/Subject: Lights and Gifts from Silencer Wolf
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
"We sure are getting popular around here, Tam."
Pink murmured pleasantly as he attempted to one put up a string of orange and black lights around the room. Pinning the strande to the wall with one hand, he held the tape and tried to cut it with the other. It was heavy duty tape that supposedly supposed to NOT take the paint off the walls. He's see about that.
Tam was in her crib and, as usually, she had some thing or another in her mouth. At the moment it was the green cat Tori had given her. Since she had no teeth, it was surviving quite well by simply being gumped on. Picture blacks lay in the crib as well, but she wasn't interested in them. She was watching Pink mumbled under his breath as he struggled with the tape. Her eyes were wide, awake and pleased at the sound of his voice. Little reptilian feet pedalled in the air.
As to what Pink was talking about? On the opposite wall from Pink, the dresser stood with it's top loaded with new items. Silencer Wolf had given Tam a bag of Halloween treats. Inside was an -adorable- allegator candle and some candy. The candy would no doubt go bad before Tam would ever be able to eat it, however.
"Or perhaps people around here are always this nice?"
Pink felt kind of bad since he hadn't been too social with the other guardians as of yet. He couldn't help it! He would get to know them... soon.. but still, they had been so welcoming, regardless.
The lights hung down on one side of the room. It was out of Tam's reach. That's all that really mattered.

October 23, 2005 Activity: Setting out candy for Halloween.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Pink emptied a clear plastic bag of candy suckers into a little halloween pumking basket. Each sucker was decorated either in a green skull or orange stripes. They ahd been aquired from the Mishaps shop, but as Pink didn't eat much candy, he thought it would be nice to share the love.
Also in the basket, the shifter carefully placed a few halloween themened cookies. Each was individually hand wrapped in clingwrap, safe from wandering hands. The little icying pumkin face stared out deviously, daring any person to attempt to eat it's well sculpted features. These also had come from the little Mishap shop.
Satisfied with his collection, Pink picked up the bag and placed it just outside Tamary's door with a little paper card reading:HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Trick-or-Treater's feel free to take as much candy as they like.
Tamary is a Alligator for Halloween!
With that, Pink shut the door and headed off to bed. Tam was long since asleep and he had decided it was time to follow her example. He hoped the Trick-or-Treater's would read the sign and not knock on the door to wake him.

October 29, 2005 Activity: Adventure in sand and swings.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Pink was beginning to fear Tamary and himself had spent far too long locked away in her room. If they were not going to meet anyone, they aught to still get out and get a feel for the place!
He dressed Tamary warmly, in a little green fleece jumpsuit, with an allegator head as the hood. It was her joking little Halloween costume, a bit of wit that no one but Pink would likely have appreciated. Her feathers had had to be accomodated for; along one side, the sleeve had been slight and resewn tightly, allowing only enough room for feather to peak out. The thend of the tail had been cut out, so that only her blue plume could be seen sticking oddly out from the green fleece. She seemed to like it well enough though, not fussing too much as he gently pulled her chubby arms through the sleeves. It was getting colder outside with the winter weather, and he would not have her catching a chill.
Scooping her up dramatically, Pink got a little giggle from his Mishap, whom was more than happy to find herself being carried about. Exiting the room, the two found the hall quite empty and headed for the stairs. Tam, lacking something, began to gum/knaw at the end of her sleeve.
It took a bit of maneuvering, but eventually Pink found his way outside. On the trip, he also discovered -completely on purpose, of course- the laundry room, playroom, and kitchen. There really were a great deal more hidden rooms in the building than he'd ever realized.
Tamary's eyes were wide and curious. Her knawing had slowed to almost to a stop, distracted by the new sites. The kitchen must have smelled nice, as the babe began to squirm a bit, and commenced knawing once again on her sleeve. Pink imagined it would be quite a sobbing mess when she was finished with it.
With a pleased, and a bit relieved, sigh, Pink stepped outside onto the terrace. Pausing for a moment, he gazed around the area presumably belonging to the shop and headquarters. He smiled and shook his head slightly, repeating his previous thought. Tamary, on entering the outdoors for the first time, promply sneezed. She looked up at Pink expectantly, then smiled a toothless smile.
From the terrace, Pink could see the outline of a playground not too far off. Fortunately, the weather had not gotten so bad as to prohibit play in this large yard. As he carried Tamary over towards the playground, he wondered absently if the HQ ever engaged in winter sports.
The first thing that struck Pink's interest, for Tamary's sake, was the sandbox. It was calm, safe, and she could stay within reach. Walking over, he was about to set her down in the sand before changing in mind. Carefully, he lowered himself into the sand and propped Zeuleika up between his legs. Using the sand as a seat, she balanced somewhat easily. Though he could not see her expression, little green claw hands wavered as she decided if she liked the strange feel of sand beneath her. It took a few moment longer than that for her too reach down and touch the pale grains. Making a loose fist, Tam went to raise the hand to her mouth in a most preditable way. Pink gently caught her wrist and massaged her hand open, playing with her fingers so that she wouldn't notice the sand blowing away in the breeze.
Wrapping his arms around her, Pink attempted to help Tam build some sort of sand structure for quite some time. It became obvious, however, than the sand would perform no special tricks without a bit of moisture to keep them together. Lacking liquid of any kind, the two were quite out of luck. While this was a disappointment to Pink, Tamary seemed to care less. Resting his hands on his knees, Pink watched as she dug her little claws into the sand and watched them dissappear. Not being able to see her own hands was a source of amusement and confusion. She had a half smile on her face, like she was thinking about liking it, but couldn't quite get the joke. Dugging her hands out real quickly, sand went flying and sent her giggling. Pink just shook his head and laughed along with her.
After a while, the sand began to shaffe. The opportunity to stand up and move around a little was a tempting one. Spotting the swings none too far away, Pink coaxed Tamary from the sand. Still fascinated by the place bits of rock, she frowned and made a slightly whinning protest when lifted away. It did not last long however, as she became aware that there were more things to do. Being set down in a baby swing, Tam looked around for Pink, fingers still clinging to him.
"Mmm mm mm, you have to let go if you want to swing, my darling."
Chuckling, Pink very cautiously extracated himself. Placing his hands on the back of the baby swing, the shifter pushed very gently. The hard plastic swung with little to no force. Tamary looked confused. Pushing again, she swayed a bit. Her expression wabbled but eventually settled on a small frown. No, apparently swinging was not an acceptable activity.
Plucking the little green Allegator Crocodile Mishap from the baby swing, he moved instead to the adult swings. Sitting down, she pulled her snuggly into his lap and attempted and gentle sway. Tamary was still not sure she at all liked this, but it seemed to improve things that she was now warm on Pink's lap.
So, with no cry of protest, Pink swung gently, rhythmically, on the little abandoned swing set with his baby Mishap on his lap. Around the playard, very little was to be seen moving. A pair of squirrels raced back and forth, playing some game of tag with one another. But the day was darkening, already a little dreary from the opaque clouds, and did not invite life. A cold breeze ran through the shifter skin and told him it was time to go back inside.
Once again nuzzling Tamary in his arms, Pink headed back for the house. Looking down, he saw Tamary had abandoned the first sleeve and was now exploring the second with her mouth. It would seem he might be making his first trip to the laundry room sometime soon.

November 5, 2005 Activity: Dirty boys and girls do laundry.- - - - - - - - - - - - - Tamary Zeuleika Carrying Tamary Zeuleika in his right arm and hauling along their laundry with his left, Pink was glad he'd decided to invest in an easily portable hamper. The blue mesh crate-bag dragged bumped down along the stairs, just barely humming along the ground as the laundry room came within sight.
Nudging his way in backwards to the room, Pink turned and looked around. He was pleased to find his dreaded fear of no empty washing machines had not been realized. A few white folding chairs were placed in the room, one of which Pink sat down on with a relieved sigh. Dropped the bag, the shifter looked down at his charge.
"You, my dear, are getting heavy." Pink accused the babe, bobbing her on the nose with his finger. Tamary only replied by grabbing the offending finger and bringing it to her mouth for inspection. Pink quickly disengaged his hand from hers, shaking his head, "As if you haven't already gummed upon everything there is to gum!"
Shifting Zeuleika into his left arm, Pink layed out the Mishap's pink baby blanket on the floor and set her down on it. Little Tamary had become a pro as sitting up unassisted. Beside her he dropped the other goodies and playthings he had carried down for her entertainment: a new lion plushie, a new doll, and her little picture blocks.
Tam looked at her treasure with wide eyes, considering each object carefully before finally wrapped a slow, chubbed, clawed hand around the stuffed lion. Osso "Mama, why are we here?" asked the bone child as he trotted behind his guardian, one hand clutching the end of her black tail. He was a lanky young boy, bone markings decorated his skin and the places that resembled 'bones' seemed to protrued more than in the places that were black. Azumi looked back and down at him before smiling with her reply, "the stupid washer broke again and we need clean clothes, right?" "I guess..." mumbled Osso as he soon followed his mother into the dining room and stopped behind her as she reached to open the door. The half werewolf gripped the door knob and pushed the door open before stepping inside and closing it again. Despite her usually sharp senses, she didn't even notice someone else was in the room and began to chuck laundry into an empty washer while blancing the basket on her hip. Osso looked around with hollow eyes and from behind strands of pale blonde hair. Hey! There's someone here! he soon started pulling on his mother's tail to get her attention. "Hmm?" she looked down at him and then around the room before letting a,"yipe!" escape her. "Oh! 'Ello, I didn't know anyone else was here!" she said sheepishly while regaining herself. Sabriel Chinchillie wandered her way through the building, trying to wrack up an image of the map in her mind. Laundry room, laundry room...it was somewhere near the kitchen. That was all she remembered. Sabriel dozed gently after breakfast. He was being carried atop all their laundry, which was mostly new clothes. It was so soft and the bumping up and down so much like rocking he couldn't help but fall asleep.Aha! This had to be it. Triumphantly she worked a hand free of the laundry and pushed the door open. The surprise of coming into a room full of people made her stop in her tracks. "Oh, hi." Chin said quickly, hoping she had come to the right place - if there weren't any people, there wasn't anyone to know otherwise. "This is the laundry room, right?" Right...? Sabriel stirred and mreowed grumpily, woken up by the fuss. He cracked an eye open to see what was going on.Tamary Zeuleika Pink had one hand in the washer, full of dirty clothes, when Azumi and her bone child entered the room. The shifter went still out of surprise; in the time that he'd been there, Azumi was the first guardian he'd seen. She, however, did not seem to have seen him. Taking the opportunity to observe the other, Pink continued to hold still, looking them both other. Her scent was preceeded by the sight of her tail, and both perked Pink's interest to a new level. Another shifter, perhaps? Smelled a bit like a dog.. or a wolf...
The child, on the other hand, was a bit more of a puzzle. Was he simply painted that way for halloween? But the eyes... And then Pink realized those black, eyeless sockets were pearing at him. At his feet, Tamary was staring back at the other's, the stuffed lion's leg in her mouth. She made an introductory gurgling noise behind the cloth, little bubbles of spit building on the corners of her mouth.
The sharp noise Azumi made when she realized Pink was there startled the shifter, dropping his clothes in the washer and sitting back in the chair. With a calm smile, he nodded, "'s quite alright... Lately I've been under the same impression..." The subtle joke made Pink chuckle under his breath, "Nice to see you." His attention turned, just then, to the flustered female who just burst in the door. His grin widened and he nodded again, "Nice to see you as well!"
Tamary just stared at Chinchillie, head cocked to the side. Slowly, she pulled the lion plushie out of her mouth, "Grrrmff..." Rexier Gavier A young mishap wandered in all by himself, guardianless. Clicking along behind him was a small, green, puppy-sized skeletal figure - one resembling a... well, one couldn't really tell now, could they? Both figures made quite a lot of noise one approaching the laundry room, what with roars and growls from a young tyrannosaur by the name of King, and the skeletal creature Zarrol.
Rex himself was dead silent, and seemed to be deep in thought.
Zarrol clicked his jaws together and trotted ahead of his 'master', then circled back and jumped playfully up at King like a puppy greeting its master. In his excitement he did not notice Rexier's tail, and before he knew it, the green skeleton found himself under someone's feet, dazed.
Zarrol shook his head to clear it, and peered up at the owner of said feet with big hollow eye-sockets. "Krip?"

Laundry room con't...Osso Azumi was about to say somthing to the man when she spun around as someone else came into the room. Gosh, today was literally full of suprises! Wine hued eyes soon went from the black furry bundle on top of the woman's clothes basket and then to the reptile looking babe sitting on the floor with a stuffed lion in it's mouth.
"I'm guessing you're all guardians as well?" Wow...no duh. Nice one, Azumi. she scolded soundlessly in her head. Excusing her stupid question, she just waited to see if she got any replies and flicked a black wolf ear. The half werewolf didn't even realize the green skeleton and that Rex had just came in. Osso just looked around in some amazment and curiosity. He saw his mother look at something in the basket that woman had and attempted to see it too by standing on tip-toe, but to no avail. So, he escused whatever it was and turned his attention to the stuffy animal chewing babe on the floor. Now that was something to look at! it actually sort of reminded him of Wycliff with it's green color...Except it didn't have spikes. Instead it had yellow and blue-ish feather like things and looked like a..aaa...What was the name of that animal again? An algitor? Bah, whatever it was, it interested him.
In only a few seconds time after staring at the green child on the ground did Osso hear some strange little sound from the door way. Turning to look over her shoulder he raised a thin brow and gazed at the green thing and then he noticed Rex. "Rex! Look, I grew!" he said happily, dismissing the big people around him now that someone he knew was here. Tamary Zeuleika Tamary's attention was being demanded on all sides and it was a bit overwhelming. She was not used to being around so many others, just Pink. Small clawed fingers clunched the lion plush with an iron grip, a reassuring glanced sent back to her guardian. The skeleton boy was staring at her and his eyeless gaze was upsetting her. Wiggling back on her blanket, the little crocodile Mishap leaned back against Pink's leg, her tail wraping around his foot.
Pink chuckled sadly, reaching down ato stroke the feathers on Tamary's head, "Yes, this is my little charge here. You'll have to excuse her, she's not really used to being around other people." With a warm grin, he offered his name, "I'm Pink, this is Tamary Zeuleika."
With the arrival of Rex and company, the laundry room was turning out to be quite a busy place. Apparently he should have come here sooner! "Hey guy, you wanderin' around my yerself?" Brave little toddler; Pink hadn't even figured this place out yet! Osso Azumi returned her attention back to the man, who she know knew was named Pink. "It's very nice to meet you two. I'm Azumi and this is Osso," she put a hand on her son's mop of pale blonde hair. She was about to say something else when she heard Both Osso and Pink speak to someone.
Leaning back against the washer she peered around the other woman and spotted Rex, who she had only seen once before, but could never forget the looks of this Mishap. "Rex?! What are you doing down here, and by yourself?" she asked in some confusment. Where was Silencer?Osso smiled and soon looked back to the green skeletal dog like thing jumping around the Mishap. Everything today seemed to be odd and green... Sabriel Chin backed into a corner to make more room, trying not to jostle Sabriel too much. The brief glimpses she got of the other Mishaps, in order not to stare outright, made her more curious than ever. And they were all like Sabriel? At Azumi's question she nodded politely. "I'm Chinchillie, and this is Sabriel. He's usually not so quiet." she said, following Pink's lead. So many people and not a single familiar face. That shouldn't be the case for long - she hoped for it. Sabriel yawned and peered over the edge of the basket. His ears flattened back when he noticed Osso's curious gaze, but then the person looked away and wasn't interesting anymore. As the crowded state of the room began filtering through his sleepy head, back and forth went the tails, lashing noisily across the fabric.Rexier Gavier Zarrol regained himself and got to his bony feet, accompanied by a chorus of pop, cricks and crackles. He shook himself as a wet dog would, in a series of new pops and cricks. Looking around, the little creature surveyed the room and decided he did not quite like the crowd and with a 'yipe' fled back to his master and hid behind him, poking a head out to stare curiously at the company.
King let out a wheezy, reptilian chuckle, and glanced around his 'side' of the place. He caught sight of another reptilian - crocodilian mishap, and peered at it with a bright, goldenrod hued eye.
A familiar voice reached the child's ears, and snapped him out of his daydream. Blinking and slightly disorientated, Rex shook his head and rubbed his eyes with a fist, then turned his head around in search of the source of the sound. It wasn't long before he saw who it was, and a grin made its way across the mishap's face.
"Osso! Long time!" The mishap waved, and jogged over to his friend. "How you?" he asked, once beside Osso.
Another voice soon caught his attention and the child turned around, spotting a man with his charge - the crocodile/alligator mishap King saw earlier. "Um..." Rex began, scratching his right temple lightly. "Mister talking to me? If so, yep! Rex doing a little wandering alone, all by myself!" The child paused, tilting his head up a little.
Soon after that he heard Osso's guardian querying him, and the boy turned back to face Osso and Osso-guardian. He frowned a little at her question, and looked up at the werewolf lady a little blankly. "Rex exploring, but forgot why end up in laundry room. Zarrol with me, so not alone." Rex waved down at the green skeletal figure at his feet, prodding it out towards both Azumi and Osso.
"Him tiny," the boy grinned. Tamary Zeuleika Both Pink and Tamary stared in amazement at Rex as he ran over to Osso and King was clearly visible on his.. er, back. Pink's gaze flickered from the bone dog, "Zarrol" the boy had called him, and then back at King. He was quite speechless.
Tamary, however, had also caught sight of King. She peered blankly at the other reptile for a moment. Slowly, her tail uncurled from around Pink's foot and she flopped over onto to her hands and knees, the legs of her stuffed lion squished beneath her chubby calf. She crawled a few paces across her pink blanket and stopped, gabbing. Raising one chubby green arm, she reached towards King (who was quite a ways out of reach), "Roooo."
Pink, already dazed, stared down at Tamary, dumb with shock. Zeuleika was very particular, she never reacted with so much interest. Noticing that she was about to crawl off her blanket, the shifter considered picking her up. Instead he decided to leave her be and see what happened. Osso Azumi nodded to Rex's response figuring he couldn't get into much trouble inside the HQ anways with all the guardians running about, he was pretty safe. Wine hued eyes were about to inspect the black furry babe, that belonged to Chinchillie, until her ears heard the "roooooo" sound from Tamary. The werewolf looked over and smiled as she watched the reptilian Mishap reach out to who she was assuming was Rex. Azumi thought all baby antics were adorable and couldn't resist watching them..God she was such a girl at times, but it wasn't her fault. "Long time! I am good, you?" grinned Osso while he stood and waited as his friend bounded over to him.Yay for someone he knew being here! Sabriel Sabriel froze at the sinister noise Tamary made. Fur began to creep up along his spine as he crawled to get a closer look - from up here, the lizardy Mishap only looked like a green blob with colorful fringes. A dangerous looking thing, whatever it was."My arms are getting tired. You don't mind getting down, do you?" Chin kept her voice down. She plunked the basket down on a spare washer and turned her ears to the conversation. "Have you been here long?" she asked Azumi in a shy, offhand sort of way, seeing she was watching the babies. They were pretty cute. Sabriel DID mind. He glared daggers until she turned away, then glanced towards the edges of the basket. He wasn't very strong, but if he hooked his claws in and pushed with his back feet...maybe he could get out.

Laundry room con't...Rexier Gavier The young tyrannosaur attached to Rexier's back continued gazing down at Tamary. Upon seeing her actions his eyes grew wide, and he bristled with excitement.
"Rrroaaa...squirrr..." Came a rather hoarse reply, and he leaned out towards the reptilian baby. "Chaiiirp!" Rex, Rex!
"Ah?" King's twin blinked, and turned his head sideways at the sound. Apparently something had caught King's attention and King that something, and the boy was curious as to what it was. His brother rarelyshowed much, if any at all, interest in the other mishaps and their guardian - for he couldn't, of course, 'sample' them at all.
"Ahh." Rex smiled, catching sight of Tamary. He was surprised at himself for failing to notice her earlier. How could he? She had the most attractive... uh, plumage. It reminded him of a bird(or was it not?) he had seen before, back in a strange forest somewhere...
Wait - what forest? He had never visited such places! Rex shut his eyes and shook his head, as Osso spoke. "Hm? Glad to hear Osso good! Rex good too, though slightly bored... Mother back in Castle with new Family members." He spoke with great enthusiam, tail swaying gently behind him.
A snarl from King brought his attention back to the little mishap on the floor, and Rex smiled. Okay, sharptooth. Rex going over now. "Excuse me," the boy said, bowing slightly to Azumi and Osso before making his way towards Tamary. The child peered down at the mishap, and smiled. He lowered himself slowly to avoid alarming her, and smiled.
"Hello! What's your name?" Rex said, admiring her lovely feathers. Osso Osso nodded and stayed next to his mother. A slender hand once more found the fluffy black tail and he leaned against her leg. The bone child sensed some uncomfort in the other green babe and so he stayed his distance for now...He wasn't sure actually how he knew how she felt, but he did..."Just a few minutes really...my stupid washer is broken at home so I get to make the long commute to here," she replied in her usual soft, happy tone. One of her ears twitched and she glanced at the cat like baby swishing it's whipcord tails. Someone doesn't look to happy, she thought. Tamary Zeuleika As Chin turned away, she failed to notice the upset look on her Mishap's face. Pink, who had yet to really see the Mishap in the basket, peered over and grinned as the little furry black fella glared daggers into the back of his mother's head. It seemed he would attempt to escape from the basket.
Asumi's comment caught his ears and he raised his head. "Oh, do you not live in.. here?" It was a subject of great interest to Pink. While Tamary was young, it was good for her to have plenty of exposure and access to playmates. However, when she was older, he would prefere to move back to his own house...
The little feather's on Tamary's head bristled with excitement at King's ready reply. She took a few more steps in her wabbly crawl toward the other reptile. Then, as Rex approached, King disappeared behind him. This confused Tam and her little hand fell out of the air. Sitting back slowly, she stared up at the toddler, who seemed to be a great deal larger than her. "Brrrrr..." She stated, not understanding his question and wondering where the pretty reptile had gone. Still, Rex was reptilian enough to hold her attention. The patterns on his face interested her and she raised her two hands toward him, as though she wanted to be picked up. "Charrrrroooo...."
Pink chuckled and whispered down in her stead, "'name's Tamary Zeuleika... you can call her Zeuleika since she likes you so much." Then he flittered his attention back to Azumi, giving the two -three- the premise of "privacy" to have their "conversation". Rexier Gavier "Zeuleika..." Rex whispered out the name, lowering his face level with the little mishaps'. As soon as she held out her arms towards him, however, the boy's smiled dimmed slightly, and he hesitated. Did she want him to carry her? It came as a rather sudden surprise to the toddler; he had never, ever picked up another living creature - except for Browns the rabbit and Zarrol before, but this was different. Zeuleika is a mishap, a fragile baby mishap.
Not knowing what to do next, the child reached out a hand towards Zeuleika, palms up, and held hers in his. Then he turned to Pink, as if for help. "Uh.. um... Mister?"
Upon hearing Tamary's voice the tyrannosaur huffed, and struggled to return her into his range of sight. A rumble of pleasure escaped him as Rex turned his head to Pink, and King opened his jaws slightly, revealing rows of small, but sharp teeth. In that way he 'smiled' down at Tam, and continued watching this interesting mishap through slitted reptilian eyes.
Back with Osso and Azumi, Zarrol clicked his jaws in annoyance at his master. How could they ignore him? Turning towards the two strangers, the green skeletal creature cocked his head to one side and watched Osso intently through empty eye sockets. Somehow he felt comfortable around this little boy. Tails wagging slightly, Zarrol circled Osso twice before settling down between him and his guardian. Tamary Zeuleika Tamary went silent apprumptly as the bigger boy's hand wrapped around hers. Curious, she pulled their linked hands down toward her and raised her snout, trying to stuff as much of Rex's hand in her mouth as she could, "Churrrrr"ing around it pleasantly as she gummed away. Quite preditably with Zeuleika, everything went from eye to hand to mouth, like it or not.
The sight of King, however, sent her into a shrilling frenzy. The throaty shrill was accompanied by a "Mbbrooobb.." as she did not realize, at first, that the hand in her mouth was impeding her speach. Fortunately, with King holding her attention, the hand was no longer of interest. Rex was still holding it, however, so Tam was forced to reach out with her left hand instead. "Mmmrraaw mmwwrrk.." Whatever she was saying seem to be of some importance, as her attention was entirely focused on the slitted eyes that watched her. With her left hand she reached out to touch the reptilian face.
Pink, hearing the small plea for assistance, looked down at the three. Yes, Tam did look, at first, as though she wanted to be picked up. But he doubted somehow that that was what was on her mind. It did not matter, a moment later, once she had her mouth around the hands. It didn't concern Pink until she started to take interest in King. He nodded to Rex, as one level headed man to another, "Watch she doesn't put her fingers where they are likely to be" chewed off? "bothersome." Tam may not have noticed King's teeth, but Pink did! Rexier Gavier "Ah..." Rex gently withdrew his hand from Tamary's mouth and pried her own away from it. "No eating my hand. Not food," he told her gently, waving a finger in front of her. Fortunately for him her attention was already with King, so the child wiped his drool-covered hand on his pants, and turned around thoughtfully so his twin may interact freely with the reptilian girl.
Be gentle, King. Girl hurt, Rex call Mother, the boy warned.
King blinked as a hand reached out towards him and he backed away a little, his gaze never leaving Tamary's left hand. Not knowing whether to take the sudden move as a threat or not, the reptile bared his teeth and let out a warning growl before a surprising thing happened.
The young tyrannosaur's nostrils widened and he blew a gust of warm breath at Tamary's outstretched hand. Then he leaned in, nuzzled the girl's hand and gave it a lick, before tilting his head to a side, offering her a rare chance to touch his face - something no one but only Silencer was allowed to do, until now.
If anyone else were to lay a finger on him, they would find themselves in the infirmary in no time at all. Tamary Zeuleika Zeuleika's eyes moved from her hand to King's face, to his teeth. The sight of his teeth, far from warding her off, looked shiny and white, attractive to little fingers. Fortunately for them both, the feeling of King's hot breath and tongue on her hand was...odd, to say the least. That King was actually accepting her was lost to the baby Mishap. She pulled her hand a little away, her fingers feeling damp when she made a fist. But his nose.. it was so close... just one touch...
And so she did. Her hand touched his nose, resting on his nostrils. The curiously soft yet rough feeling of his scales interested her greatly. The feathers on her head rose and feel like that of a Cockatiel's crown. The gentle chortling/purring began again in her throat, pleased with the other and his nose. Slowly her hand dragged up his head. For whatever reason, maybe a bit of intuition, Zeuleika stayed away from the slitted eyes and instead only made it up the bridge of his nostril.
Taking her hand away, she smiled grandly, blue-feathered tail swishing. "Dehwroo! Dehwrooroo!" She barked triumphantly, followed by a throaty, scratching laugh.

Laundry room con't...Sabriel Sabriel's eyes widened slightly. Would he be ratted out? Well...they wouldn't dare if they were smart. Even so, he tossed an equally nasty glare at Pink, keeping an eye on him as he went to try out the plan. His claws dug into the wicker and the baby kicked with his hind feet, pushing himself forward along the slippery clothes.
Sabriel reached the edge so quickly he didn't stop, but came tumbling out onto the washer. The basket, still stuck to his claws, flipped right on top of him. Gah! Rexier Gavier King wrinkled his nose, feeling a sneeze starting up at the back of his throat. Uh oh. However, it disappeared all together as soon as Zeuleika's fingers left his nose, and the tyrannosaur trilled in relief.
Then a great, chuffing sneeze erupted from the reptile. "Trrr...."
Rocked by his twin's sneeze, Rex fell back-- forwards, and managed to catch himself just him time to prevent a face-on collision with the floor. A quick recovery in check, the boy sat himself on the floor and peered around the room at all the guardians and their charges present. Why, it was a congregation in there!
Then there was the saound of a crash, and Rex flicked his his in the direction of the sound. "Hm?" Osso "No...actually I live in the hills outside of Durem. I was thinking about staying here when I was put in charge of Osso, but it ju-Oh my," she was cut off with her response to Pink when she heard the basket near her flip over. Wine hued eyes glanced around for the furry Sabriel that was once before she noted the clawing from under the basket. "Um...Chin..." she said while taking the basket off the boy, but was only about to pick up the huffy babe if he was in danger. Senses already warned the werewolf about a bad little temper from this black thing... Osso didn't pay attention to the happenings above him for right now his main interest was of the green bone dog near him. Crouching down the bone child balanced on the balls of his feet and wrapped on arm around his knees before extending a hand to the animal. His mother had always told him to let the animal sniff you before touching it...Though he never did like following that rule as a baby. "Hello," he said while peering at this queer creature who shared some similarities with him. Tamary Zeuleika Pink was half lost in his own thoughts the moment he heard that Azumi lived elsewhere. Still contemplating, he reached down and pulled Tamary back onto her pink blanket. She fussed, wiggling out of his fingers. Her eyes were still following King's retreat. When her attention faultered, she looked down at her splayed toys, picking up her lion again and chewing on his ear.
The laundry moved from the washer to the dryer as the rest of the room occupants were chatting about the troublesome Mishap.

November 5, 2005 Activity: Exploring the 3rd floor balcony.- - - - - - - - - - - - - pinkdog & Tamary A loud "ding" repeated in Pink's ear until, scrambling, he found the timer knob on the dryer and durned if off. Laundry done, he scooped the warm clothes and towels out of the dryer and plopped them into the mesh laundry hamper.
Raising his head, he nodded to those that were there, "Well, laundry's done. Hope to see some of you around again!" Reaching down, Pink scooped up Tam in one arm, stuffed lion and all. "I know Tam will be looking for some playmates."
Grinning, he picked up all the remaining toys and the pink blanket, and put them into the hamper as well. With a small sigh, he stood, steadying himself under the unbalanced weight, and headed out of the little room. Over his shoulder, Tamary watched the other's in the room until the door closed and blocked them from view.
Up the stairs they went, Pink talking a bit of nonsense to his Mishap to keep her busy. "Finally got to meet some other people, eh Tam? You like the other boys? They were mostly all a bit older than you... Seem to get along with that Rex and his brother rather well though... perhaps we will see them again, hmm? You'd like that, wouldn't you? Yes, I think you would..."
Back in their room, Pink dropped off the hamper to be sorted out later. He wasn't quite ready to settle down and do such work yet, however. Glancing at Tam, he asked her opinion. "What should we do now, little princess?" Tam barely looked at him. She was busy exploring the picture blocks with her mouth. The little feathers on her head raised and fell, almost with every breath. "Mmmm, I see..." Pink contemplated, as though she had replied, "I like that idea, my dear!" Slapping his leg, he turned and went to the dresser. It was getting rather chilly outside and he wanted Tam to wear something warm.
From the dresser he chose a baby-sized yellow pulloever sweatshirt. It had a little hood with the frills of a duck head on it, and small pocket in the belly. Tam fussed quite a bit when Pink went to take the blocks away. Pouting and squirming, she finally made it into the yellow hoodie. It was not too tight and looked rather adorable on her, especially the yellow on her green skin.
"Alright, little lady..." Picking her up, he again took the pink blanket, so she might have something warm to crawl on, and the little lion. "Hmm...I'd say some new toys were in order, or you might just eat through this poor guy." He murmured as he dropped the lion on her lap.
Out the door, he didn't go far. There was a balcony at the front of the stairs that he had yet to visit. A bit of fresh, cool air, sounded rather lovely. Opening the door outside, a great deal of that air hit him in the face as a breeze ran inward. He was very glad he had dressed Tam warmly.
Outside, he put down the blanket and Tam on top of it. Once she was settled, he moved away for a moment, wanting to get a look off the balcony. "No jumping, okay?" He teased.Rabid & Malachi "C'mon, Mummy!" Malachi squealed as he bounded down the hallway, "We gotta hurry!" He giggled wildly as he ran, and began galloping on all fours just before he reached the door. He suddenly sprang forward, and only then did he realize that there were others outside.
"Hiiii!" he called as he flew through the air, landing on the balcony railing and sitting up on it.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Rabid murmured, humming to herself. She felt obscenely happy for no readily apparent reason, and she was enjoying it quite a lot. She grabbed Skelly and a thick novel off of the dresser and exited her room. Soon, Rabid's humming turned into full-fledged operatic belting. She waltzed with nobody down the hall, until she saw other people out of the corner of her eye. She stopped abruptly, blushed, and stood in the doorway.
"Look, Mummy!" Malachi grinned and pointed to the man and the green Mishap. pink & Tam The shifter turned abruptly, his tail brushing the railing as he looked over at the Mishap that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. And sitting on the railing! Pink was lost for words, and gaped for the moment before Rabid came in sight. He was glad this Mishap had a guardian, for he wasn't quite sure how to handle the situation. "Why hello.." Pink tried, looking at the white furry creature, "you seem to balance quite well up there."
Turning, Pink grinned at Rabid, a devious sparkle in his smile, "This 'un belong to you?"
Tamary made a shrill noise again in her throat for reason not understood by Pink. "Mwark awwrk kakar" Her scratchy, high pitch voice stated, looking up at Malachi curiously. Rabid & Ike Rabid cleared her throat and forced a smile.
"Yup. This'n's mine," she held Skelly out to her son.
Malachi shot forward, grabbing Skelly mid-flight and then leaping back onto the railing and flipping upside-down.
"They call me Rabid," the woman stuck out her hand, "That's my son Malachi."
"Everyone calls Ike 'Ike', though, mister," Malachi grinned and then turned to the baby, "Hello, little feathery girl." Pink & Tam "Nice to meet you, Rabid," He turned, "Malac- Ike." Back at Rabid he replied in kind, "I'm Pink, and this 'un is Tamary. Tamary Zeuleika."
"Mmrrrawwrr..." Zeuleika replied, with a little curious chirp. She watched as Rabid, whom she had ignored until then, passed something off to the other Mishap. Another sharper, demandingly curious chirp sounded from her, "Awwrk?!." A little green hand raised in the air toward Ike, and she made a small gurgle. She wanted to see what it was Malachi had! Rabid & Ike Rabid smiled, "Hi, Pink. Nice to meet you. Is this your floor? I haven't seen you around..." In truth, she hadn't...not that she was usually very observant. That, and she didn't have a whole lot of time to fraternize with the other guardians.
"Tam," Malachi smiled and then noticed that she was reaching out toward him. Giving Skelly a quick glance, he held the plush out, but kept a good grip...just in case. Pink & Tam A little bit of pink blushed Pink's cheek, "Yeah, this is my floor... I admit, I haven't been wandering around the complex much." His smile dropped down to pause on Tam for a moment, "sure meeting lots of people today though! Didn't know the laundry room was such a happening place." He joked, looking at the other again. He noticed she was still standing in the doorway, "You can come on out if you like, balcony's a bit big for just myself."
Rather than being pleased that Malachi was offering her the plush, she got more aggitated. Another sharp chirp sounded from her, less patient, "Mwark!" Her little green fingers flexed wantingly. He was all the way up on the railing! She would never reach! Rabid & Ike "Oh, right," Rabid blushed and stepped out onto the balcony itself, "You'd be surprised. I've met a few people there, although I already knew a bunch of the guardians from...my stalking of the shop."
Malachi huffed and dropped to the surface of the balcony. He kept a sweet smile plastered on his face as he sat before Tam, still offering Skelly out. Pink & Tam Tam reached out, quited now that Ike was at her level. Her eyes followed her fingers, which wrapped around "Skelly", and gave a tug. When the other Mishap didn't let go immediately, she dug her little claws into the plush and grumbled quitely, still tugging. The colorful feather on her head lay flat against her skull, and her tail swished over the blanket.
Pink wasn't sure what to say to Rabid's "stalking" comment. After a moment, he cleared his throat and inquired "So...you've been around the shop before you.. adopted Ike?"

3rd Floor Balcony con't...Rabid & Ike Ike let go of the plushie, trying to avoid any un-needed damage.
"Be careful with Skelly, Tam," he warned, "No ripping." Sure, Mummy could fix him, but it always took so long.
"Yeah," Rabid laughed and moved to the railing nearby Pink, sitting on it and kicking her feet, "I found it late...June? I'm dirt poor, so no adoption. Ike's...biological...if you catch my drift." She smiled lightly, showing off her fangs. Pink & Tam It wasn't as though Tam could understand just yet what Ike was saying. His sounds were just about as intelligible as her own to the baby Mishap's ears. However, she got the gist of seriousness from his voice. Not that that meant she wouldn't immediately put it in her mouth once she got her hands on it. Which she did. It tasted funny, probably because it was Ike's and not her own. "Bggbbrrggee" she gurgled around the plush.
Pink tried not to stare but he was more than a little surprised. He looked at the Mishap and then back at Rabid. He had yet to see Ike's teeth and Rabid didn't appear to be white and fluffy. "Oh... sorry, didn't see the family respemblence.." Blushing lightly, he rubbed a hand through his hair and looked at the two on the Balcony floor. He didn't know a Mishap could be biological. Gently, his lightly spotted tail brushed the railing. Rabid & Ike Ike gasped lightly, and then calmed. No sharp teeth. Good.
"Careful," he said, and then pointed to his teeth and shook his head, "Skelly not fuh eating."
"Well," Rabid laughed, "There's always that squirrel he's got in 'im. I just...messed up is all." She lay down on the railing and peered up at the sky. "Nice day, eh?" Pink & Tam Pink turned and looked out at the view. It was, indeed, a nice day. Pink loved these cold days when summer and fall faded into memory. "Winter's my favorite season..." He murmured aloud as a breeze ruffled his blonde hair. His blue eyes gazed down at Rabid as she lay over the rail, "So you've lived here a while?" A bit repetitive, but he wasn't very good at small talk.
Zeuleika blinked slowly at Ike. With Skelly clamped tightly in her toothless gums, her hands reached out toward Ike. He looked very fluffy and soft and... wholely unlike anything she had seen before. He was close enough for her to curl her fingers in the tuft of hair on his head. "Zzuuuu.." Rabid & Ike "Erk!" Ike cried as his hair was grabbed, "Careful! Careful!" Oh, the downsides of beig foozy...
"Mine too," Rabid smiled, "and, not really. Moved in October first, Ike's birthd---err...day of creation. These are the best living conditions I've ever had." She laughed again, and then turned toward her son. Eh...he'd be able to handle it. Pink & Tam Pink followed her gaze to the two on the balcony floor. He groaned upon seeing what was going on. "Zeuleika, you greed monster, you can't have everything..." He teased lightly, embarrassed. "Be nice to Ike." Turning his attention to Rabid, a light blush once again on his cheeks, he nodded, looking out, "Sorry about that..."
Zeuleika giggled, pulling the plushy skeleton out of his mouth with her right hand while she held onto Ike with her left. Smiling and pleased, she tugged on Ike's hair just a bit as she bounced. Skelly, fortunately soft, became an unintentional weapon as the Crocodile Mishap thwaped Ike repeatedly with it. She didn't intend to be cruel, but she was having fun and didn't realize she could possibly be hurting the other. Rabid & Ike Everything went sharp for a moment as Ike wrenched away.
"No," he said, "Be nice to Ike. No hit." He understood, to some extent, that babies hadn't the slightest idea what they were doing.
Rabid's eyes trailed away from the children and back to Pink. She waved a hand dismissively.
"It's no problem. Squirrelboy was a little animal when he was little too. No pun intended," she sighed when she saw a large green fuzwad out of the corner of her eye. She walked over and picked Aloysius up, petting the big grunny as he looked around. How had he escaped THIS time? Pink & Tam "You've got a Grunny!" Pink stared in amazement at the green rabid-thing. He'd heard of these things running amok, but he'd yet to actually see one. "Aren't they... dangerous?" He glanced over at the Mishaps and back without meaning to.
Though the other had gotten himself away, Tamary's grip had remained quite sturdy to the end. As a result, she had a nice souvenir of a few white hairs left in her chubby green hand. She giggled when she saw it, opening her fingers. The bouncing continued a few more times before calming. Looking down and about, the little Croc found her lion plushie laying discarded to the side. Dragging it over, she offered it to Ike. "Grraawwak?"

3rd Floor Balcony con't...Rabid & Ike "Naaaw," Rabid laughed, "Aloysius wouldn't hurt a flea. Here. Give him a pet." She held the zombified bunny out to Pink, smiling reassuringly. The animal's tail twitched and he stretched his neck out, trying to get a good sniff of the man.
Ike rubbed his scalp and cocked his head to one side. He smiled when the lion was offered up to him.
"Very pretty lion," he nodded and quickly beeped Tam's nose for fear of being nipped at. Pink & Tam Tam prodded Ike very persistantly with the lion, not happy with him simply admiring it. Opening her snout wide, she clamped it shut. "Mrowowowow"
Pink eyed the green ball of fluff. "Hmm..." Raising his hand, he carefully brough it towards the Grunny. When it didn't immediately jump at his finger, he gently rubbed it's head. Rabid & Ike Ike took the lion and peered at it questioningly.
"Ike dun'n't chew on pretty lions," he tried to explain. Aloyisus' tail twitched and he closed his eyes, folding his ears back and letting out a gutteral growl.
"That's a happy noise," Rabid assured Pink and laughed, "He likes you. Good. I was afraid he was going to disembowel you." She stuck her tongue out at him. Pink & Tam Pink's face went a little white. He didn't get the joke. "Heh..." He forced a laugh, carefully removing his finger. What a creepy pet! "We have...fish."
It didn't matter at all to Zeuleika that Malachi didn't stuff the plush immediately into his mouth, as she did his toy. She was happy enough that he had accepted her "gift". Rabid & Ike "I was kidding!" Rabid laughed heartily, "We have fish too. A guppy and a couple of carp. How about yourself? Got any dragons hdden in there?" Aloysius twitched. He knew when he wasn't wanted. He turned and clung to Rabid's shirt.
Ike peered down at the lion and ran his long fingers through its mane. What a strange little kid...but she was so cute... Tam & Pink Pink smiled lightly and laughed politely. "Oh, we have... kao? Hmm.. can't seem to remember what she called them. They were a gift from Silencer, rather unexpected, really. Nice of her." He nodded and looked out. Somehow the day had passed by quickly. Already the sun was high in the sky.
Zeuleika was tired of Skelly. However, she didn't throw it away as a child might. Instead, she took it from her mouth and gently dropped it to the side. Tam liked toys. "Mwarpmwpmwnap?" She inquired, pearing at the other. Her attention turned suddenly as she noticed the other had a tail. A tail! In all the time she'd been with Pink, she'd never once noticed he'd had a tail or had a chance to think what to do with one. But Ike's was just so... so... THERE. So alive and flouncing. With no thought for resistance, Tamary reached out and grabbed the white tail. Her grib was surprisingly strong; Not knowing her own strength, she used all of it when she grabbed and pulled. She did both, pulling the other's tail until she could grab it with both hands. It took her, after examining it, all of five seconds to decided what to do next.
It tasted unlike anything she'd chewed on previous. Rabid & Ike "Got fish from Silencer...and a sentinent piece of candy. Creepy little thing, she is," Rabid murmured and absentmindedly pet Aloysius. The sun was beginning to make her arm itch, and so she placed the Grunny down. He hopped over to Pink and sniffed his leg.
Ike just sat there as the baby took his tail and started gnawing. Everything went sharp again, but he felt no impulse to do...anything, really. Whatever it was that he was feeling was both pleasant and unpleasant at the same time. Man, now his fur was going to be all wet... Pink & Tam Tam's baby teeth grinded against the bone of Ike's tail. They were very very small and very dull, but with the force she was using, it didn't matter much. Her tail swished, a happy parasite. After the initial taste test, however, her gnawing eased to more of a gumming chew and the small teeth were once again unnoticable. The furr, as she worked her way up the tail, tasted funny and stuck to the inside of her mouth. As she chewed on it, however, she noticed how it clumped together and stood out when it got wet. This discovery sent a dull shrill flying from her as she made effort to make as much of the furr stick out as possible.
Pink eyed the small green creature next to his foot. He had, at that moment, to overwhelming and completely inappropriate urges: 1)to kick the ball of fluff so close to his foot 2)to eat him. Repressing both, Pink dediced to "face his fear", so to speak. Bending down, he scooped up the Grunny. The red eyes were a little distrubing. The hyena was not great with small creatures; he DID eat them, after all. Rabid & Ike Ike watched with curiosity, but thens began to dull as he saw what Tam was doing. He giggled and licked his hand, making the fur on his ears, cheeks, elbows, and chest stick out too. Sure, he felt like an idiot...but it was fun like that!
Rabid watched Aloysius carefully, not quite sure who to be afraid for. The Grunny's ears folded back and he began growling again, peering up at Pink. In his mind, he was just some kind of oversized lop-eared...and nobody was going to tell him differently.
"I can shove him back inside, if you like," Rabid offered. Sure, neither had done anything yet, but Pink had seemed a bit uneasy around the undead animal before. Pink & Tam "Na, it's alright." Petting him for a moment longer, Pink set him back down on the ground. "Not so bad" Grin. See look, ma, I didn't eat him. Looking over at his charge, he was glad to see that she hadn't eaten Ike after all. "So..."
Tamary giggled, pausing in her chewing as she watched Ike play along. She liked Ike! Soon his tail looked like a soft quilled cactus, sticking out everwhere. "Zuuuzopzopzopsap." Dropping his tail, she rolled back sat back on her pink blanket. Her tail swished a little bit, but she was getting bored. Or tired. The feather on her head rose and fell. "Zrrrrrr" She shrilled. Rabid & Ike "Yanno what?" Rabid shook her head, "I know why he got out. The jerk must've chewed a hole in his cage. Forgot to feed them. C'mon Ike, we've gotta g--" She laughed when she saw her prickly child.
"Okee," Ike agree and stood, "Bai, Tam." He grabbed Skelly and went to Mummy.
"It was nice meeting you, Pink," Rabid smiled, "I hope to see you again some time. Bye, Tamary!" Pink & Tam Pink gave a one handed wave and a nod, watching them go. Afterwards, he looked over at Tam. She had layed down on her belly on the blanket, fingers curled into the pink quilt. Too much excitement for one day had warn her out.
"Alright, princess... let's get you to bed..."

November 13, 2005 Activity: Bath time!
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Cold water fell in a thick collumn, making a loud "slap"ing sound as it hit the bottom of the empty tub. Pink watched it curve in a U-shape off his finger and swirl away into the drain. When the temperature rose to a tolerable warmth, he flipped the switch to the drain, and the water began to pool.
Standing, the hyena shifter went to the door of the bathroom and leaned against the door frame, arms folded. Behind him he could hear the slap slap slap of the water, and in front of him he could see his adopted daughter, his Mishap, crawling around in her crib. She had thus far learned to pull herself up the bars of her crib to stand. It was quite an accomplishment for her.
"Alright, SuperCroc, time for a bath."
Tossing out Tam's old diaper, Pink set out a new diaper and clothes for afterwards. Tam shrilled and reached towards the tub. The water had almost filled the tub completely, more than enough for Tam's sake. Turning the knob to off, Pink tested the water with his hand. Bouncing Tam on his knee, he added bubbles to the water from an adorable little SionSuds container, shaped like a Sion. Tam shreaked with excitment as the bubbles grew white and frothy on the surface.
Carefully, Pink set her into the water. Immediately she began splashing about, her fingers combing through the bubbles. "Zap!zap!zap!" She stated, making noises in the back of her throat as she played. Shaking his head, Pink lathered his hand with a bar of soap. Oblivious, Zeuleika got a hold of a rubber toy shark. It's mouth filled with water and when her tight little fist squeezed, the water came gushing out the mouth. The poor little shark found himself diving and flying across the water, accompanied by Tam's own soundtrack of baby noises. "Grrrrrzomp!"
She hardly noticed when Pink began to carefully wash over her head, rubbing between her feathers. "Brrrr...!" She said when the suds were washed off with a warm cup of water. She looked up at her guardian, raising the rubber shark up in the air as an offering.
"No, hun, that's ok. You play." He gently pushed hand with the shark back in the water so she might get the idea. She might as well have shrugged, going back to play with no further prompting. A plushie, round, blue elephant floated along in the water, along with a handful of small plastic fish. The elephant was quickly clutched in Tam's hand and disappeared under the water to who knows where. The fish got their turn at play, but mostly were splashed about as a result of the flailing shark.
Even after Pink had finished scrubbing Tamary clean, he didn't want to take her out of the water. She loved being in it and it really didn't do any harm. So, instead, he quickly ran into the other room and chose one of the books he had bought for her. Sitting on the side of the tub, he recited Rapunzel while the his Mishap played.
"I'm sure some of this is sinking in, right Tam?" He chuckled and put the book down once he had finished. From the toilet he retreived a white terry cloth towel. "Time to get out, little one." Drapping the towel over his arm, he lifted Tamary from the tub. Her little hands clutched his arm, fingers well pruned. Carrying her out to her room, wrapped in a towel, Pink sat down, towelled her off, and redressed her.
After an hour or more of bath play, Tam was tired again. Her noises had quited to shoft chortles. "Mmm sleep, eat, take a bath, sleep. What a life." Pink mused and she carried her back over to her crib. Setting her inside, she immediately curled up on her belly. Pink pet the soft feathers on her head, "Night darling..."

Pink lay, leaning back against the short, blue book case against the wall between his room and the Tam's. There were few books on it yet, but one of them was cradled in Pink's hand, propped against the inside of his bent knee. His other leg, outstretched on the floor in front of Tam's crib, had a small, chubby green hand laying on it. Tamary, who was listening to Pink's reading of Peter Pan[/e], was rocking gently, full of energy.
Pausing as the three children when soaring out of their playroom window, Pink's throat was already a little dry. Noting his charges quiet inattentiveness, the shifter chuckled and raised his hand to her. It was still too far away from her to grab easily. "I thought you liked Peter Pan, hmm? Doesn't my girl want to fly?"
Tamary, who had very little idea what Pink was talking about, shrilled and pointed a wavering hand at the blue book Pink was holding, "Brrr!"
Pink chuckled lightly and shook his head, smiling, "No, my dear. This is a 'book' not a 'brr'. 'Brrr' is what you say when you're cold, you see?" Resting the book on his leg, he wrapped his arms around himself, rubbing his arms furiously, making a show of being cold "BRRRRRR!" He couldn't keep from laughing.
Tam giggled, dropped her hand back on the floor and made the slow, solid effort of crawling in Pink's direction. Pink, whom had seen Tam crawl before, went thoughtfully still. He watched as she crawled over and pushed herself up high enough to grab hold of the finger he had offered previous. She smiled. Pink stared in amazement, slow to react. In the times he'd seen her crawl before, he'd never quite gotten it.
"Beautiful girl..." He murmured with a small smile.
Pulling up up onto his lap, he pointed out the pictures in the book, letting her run her fingers over the pages as he read.

Jabir was walking down the corridor, looking carefully to avoid knocking on the wrong door. He was doing his regular quest patrol again "I never though this could be possible" he had been reading Tamary's quest as he walked. He could still remember her 'addiction' to nimble stuff, since she hardly left his tail alone when he took care of her But soon he reached the right door. He folded the note and let it slid under the door, making a small spell to have it land on the tableQuest Dear Pinkdog, As you know Tamary has been biting and gnawing on things much more than usual. As soon as you remove one thing away from her mouth, she manages to be munching another the next instant This is probably just a teething fase, but in her particular case it seems to be quite troublesome, because her new pearls are refusing to come out You must find a way to help her before she feels attracted to some "less safer instruments" -The Mishap Staff
