Sae25 Lady Rai I was in Seattle for a portion of this summer helping homeless people. Does that count? I don't know of a lot/any SGers who live in NC anymore. :< (Watch there be a lot of them but I never bothered to ask. D= ) I think.. if my memory serves me right.. When we did that map thingy a while back I think you and I were the only ones that lived in NC. I think I would freeze to death if I lived that far up north.. ^^; I get chilly in 60 degree weather. But I'd imagine you guys get used to that kind of weather quick enough. That's what I thought. At least now we can make up stuff about how amazing NC is and how everyone SHOULD live here, and no one would be able to say "Nu-uh. D=" Actually, while we were in Seattle, one of the guys said that there is less rainfall in Seattle than in NYC or LA, but it's so overcast all the time that people think it rains a lot more than it does.

Hmm.. letmethink.. In NC.. It is illegal to plow your fields with an elephant. We're home to the Biltmore Estates, the Elizabethan Gardens, and Amercia's tallest Lighthouse. Putt-Putt Golf was invented in Fayetteville. Who can live without Putt-putt?? Babe Ruth hit his first professional home run in Fayetteville on March 7, 1914. Blackbeard, America’s most famous pirate, established a residence and married his 14th wife in Bath, NC, in 1718. And yes.. there is a town called Bath. Just a few reasons why NC is better.. wink

Ginji, I'm pretty sure the swim meet wouldn't work for everyone.
Southcenter sounds good. I think a good time would be during winter break so we don't have to worry about school or homework getting in the way.
But swimming happens then for Ginji I believe.

Satius Those are just one of the random laws that no sane police officer would enforce.
WE do get rain. More then lots of places, but probably less then people would think. It primarily depends on which area of Washington you live in. If you live in Eastern Washington, there's seemingly no rain most of the time. Western Washington has a lot more rain in it. A problem with Washington weather is that it prompts one of the, if not the, highest suicide rates in the country. It's because Washington likes to be a very gloomy place in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. It does however have very bipolar weather, especially when the seasons are changing. At times like that it could be sunny and Eighty Degrees outside, the next it would be raining cats and dogs and forty to fifty degrees out.
Last year a lot of the areas flooded and there was a state of emergency issued. T'was a fun day. :3
Hearing about the rate of suicide is really depressing. Would they really do that just because of the weather? If I was up there I would be finding every happy person possible and jump in puddles! I love the rain so much I would come home with Hypothermia.

It seems like it rains all the time in the Puget Sound/ coastal region of washington, but it really doesn't-- it's just a really moist, green climate-- we have so many lovely trees all over the place. But the side effects is that so many people have asthma and other lung related issues due to the mildew and moisture in the air.
I love Washington though, my only beef is that it's a highly democratic state. And I'm very much a republican. So it's all like *RAR OUTNUMBERED*
I say we meet up during christmas break. Of course, we'd need to know a good middle point-- and we should probably have this convo on Gaia IM so that we don't get stalked and killed if we have to say what city we live in.

Well, it looks gloomy a lot of the time, and for the people that move here, they either love the rain and stay a while, or hate it and complain all the time. If you're born here, it's different. Like me! I've lived here all my life, it's the only place I've ever known-- it's "normal"

I also have lived in Washington all of my life. I love it to pieces here. >w<
GtHb-It's because the weather is just so often extremely gloomy here. So it helps to increase the feeling of dispare for some people I guess. :/
Ret.-Should we use the guild convo or what?

The Retanator Well, it looks gloomy a lot of the time, and for the people that move here, they either love the rain and stay a while, or hate it and complain all the time. If you're born here, it's different. Like me! I've lived here all my life, it's the only place I've ever known-- it's "normal"
Ahh that makes sense. But still, if one hates the rain that much I would highly suggest moving, a death over the weather is extremely sad.
Okay off the topic of death please Happy thoughts!!!!! Um let's see...If you all meet up, TAKE PICTURES!!!!
And for Ret, all I can say is if you think Washington is normal, do not come here to California. You'll go, "WTF where's the weather?!" As my Government teacher says, there are ONLY two types of weather in California: Hot or DAMN HOT!

With the sky being grey 6/7 days a week, the seventh being only partly cloudy on average, that the lack of sun is generally depressing.
