Well, she was right about that much. He was lucky. Perhaps she thought of bringing him along because his luck would help them find treasures... Criofan chuckled. "Alright, that's fair enough." The leprechaun strolled after Erylia into the dark recesses of the unknown. It was always fun to explore a new place. If anything, he was lucky. They wouldn't get attacked by anything, Criofan was certain of that.

"Ah'm feelin' pretty confident 'bout this side," commented Criofan, after a few moments. Of course, Criofan felt pretty confident about everything. In fact, he had a pretty egotistical feeling that he was undefeatable. "Wonder how long this path is. Guess we'll be walking for a while." If she had only gone thirty minutes into the cave and not found anything, it was probably pretty long.

"Some paths lead on and on...others lead to dead ends. It may just be more complex then what can be put into a map." An overstatement of course. It would be possible to map it out. It just would take a lllooonnngg time. Or did ya' have somethign totally different in mind, Erylia? The echo of the sentence in her mind almost caused her to blush. Almost. She had to stay focused on the mission. Treasure. Not criofan.

Criofan grinned. "Well, ya' did take the luckiest fae along. Perhaps this won't take too long." He slapped her on the back lightly before walking ahead of Erylia. "In fact, it won't. If we aren't taking the perfect route now, this'll certainly lead us right ta' it, and then we'll get the treasures." Perhaps he was a little too confident, or perhaps he wasn't.

Overall, while he walked, he was a bit quite and withdrawn. It would some goading from Erylia to make him say more than he thought was necessary. Instead of talking, he seemed more inclined to observe his surroundings and hum a little Irish tune to himself. Sometimes, he would gain an extra skip to his step in tune with the tune was humming.

"Its what I'm hoping for." She refrained from jumping at his touch, and quickly stepped to the side to fall in behind him. As she followed, she wouldn't poke or prod for him to pay attention to her and participate in conversation. That was different then the mission, and to criofan it was all about the mission. She incorporated every turn into memory, and mentally kept aware about how much time had passed. She had a fairly good sense of the passage of time. Minutes ticked by. A half an hour. An hour. Two. How big was this cave? "Hey. Hold on. I think I hear water." They were in another large cavern, this one holding quite a few menacing stalagmite they had to move around. She walked to the right, taking the little firefly with her for light. Sure enough, there was a small stream only a foot and a half wide, trickling down the side of the cave to slip through a hole in the ground about the size of a pae head. "We're slowly going up. Subtly enough we hardly noticed." She crouched down, shining the light onto the water. "looks clean...we probably should take a small break while we have the oppertunity of water."

They were walking for a long time, and Criofan didn't exactly enjoy long walks in caverns. If he had the choice, he would much rather take a long walk in a tomb filled with treasures. However, the treasure kept him going, though he would happily welcome the idea of taking a break. The leprechaun plopped down on the ground all too easily when Erylia announced that they should stop for the moment.

"Ah like that idea. Gettin' a bit tired of all of this walking." Criofan stretched out his legs across the floor and bent forward to touch his toes. Then, he twisted left and twisted right to stretch his torso. "Maybe once we go far enough up, we'll find that treasure. Or perhaps ya' just leading me in elongated circles ta' see if ya' can fool me." His smirk became mischievous once again.

As soon as the male plopped down, so did the mardi gras pae. She set the firefly down on the ground and dipped her hands into the cool water. "As fun as that sounds, you'll just have to trust me." She allowed another smile on her face. Maybe...he was relaxing. The female splashed some of the crystaline water onto her face, cooling her down. "I wonder how far this pathway goes...Its almost like looking for buried treasure." She chuckled at the thought. If only they had a map with a big black X on it.

Criofan was more interested in relaxing than splashing himself with the water at the moment. He cracked his wrists loudly and went to crack his knuckles before he acknowledged that Erylia was talking to him. The leprechaun should probably start paying more attention. "Well, Ah think we are. We're in some cave, an' we're looking 'round for treasure. The cave is dark like a hole, and we don't know where this supposed treasure is."

The leprechaun shrugged, deciding to lay down on the ground on his stomach. "Buried treasure doesn't necessarily have to be beneath soil. It could be buried under rocks or even hidden in plan sight." With that conclusion, Criofan decided to pluck a particularly shiny rock off the ground and examine it. It probably wasn't too valuable, but Criofan appreciated all things shiny.

Her face scrunched slightly at the leprechaun, the first real show of childishness all day. Just the prospect alone of him loosening up had her excited... "Who says all metaphors have to be exact?" With that, she took a tentive sip of the water she just sprayed onto her face. "Mmm...its clean."

OOC: Mind if I do an idea I had in class the other day? A sort of surprise for the two.

(( I probably won't mind. That being said, what kind of idea do you mean? Don't go ahead with it yet. ))

"Well, glad the wata's good." With that being said, Criofan reached into the stream with his hands and took a sip. After that, he didn't drink anymore. While he was thirsty, he had no idea of what kind of tasteless bacteria or virii could be in the water, and he'd rather not find out. Just a sip was fine for now.

Afterwards, Criofan picked up the shiny rock and placed it in the spot next to him with the most light. Then, he turned it one way and another, watching it sparkle within the dark, dank cave. Shiny items always made him smile, and it seemed he had begun smiling just because he was looking at it.

Slowly the female laid down, stretching her belly onto the cool rock as she lightly smiled. It WAS a pretty rock...she'd let him have it. Erylia lightly placed the tips of her fingers ontop of the surface of the water, just feeling the currently flow past. "Its kind of nice down here actually. Would be a nice hideout slash storage space."

OOC: Just something to have them sit tight there for a bit. Neither would be hurt of course.
