Uumizi nodded, still watching as the lioness continued to get soaked under the trees. Sure his fur was getting soggy, but he knew exactly where to warm up at. There was a cave not too far from there as he had used it earlier in the day when he did start off. He did not get too far however before seeing her so it should still be unoccupied.

"Are you sure? There is a place not too far from here if you don't mind a little darkness. Those trees do bring out your eyes though as lovely as they are." He tried not to laugh again, but it was ridiculous in how she looked. He gave a quick shake of his head to try and free some of the water from his mane. "Do you think you can stay out of the cold long enough there to warm up by yourself? What do you have to lose if I am just as wet as you are?"

The dark male smirked at this. The only way she was going to budge is if he started moving and that is what he did. Turning his head away he smiled but she couldn't see it as he began to think. She obviously held much pride so there was only one thing to do about that. "I did not know this weather frightened you, and you seemed so sure of yourself before in the way to go. You can't say you are afraid of seeing what I know?" He wiggled his hind quarters as if to tease her, trotting slowly and stepping in huge puddles as he passed farther ahead, just eyeing her closely from behind. "Why not follow? You can keep up with me."

The vivid memories the male was arousing in her mind of the gawking lions who laughed, taunted and tormented her as a slave were being drowned out by the deafening roar of the rain. Not only was the thunder blocking them out, but a general feeling of confusion was, too.

Who was this male? Why was he acting...Polite to her? For what reason? What gain? Surely he had a motive. But the more Carnadhiel thought of what this motive may be, the more her brain told her that he simply didn't have one. However correct this seemed to be, it was also incorrect in the lioness's mind. One did not work for something if one did not have a motive...

Ah, wait. He did have a motive; just not a bad one. But what was it if it wasn't a bad one? The opposite of bad...

...He had a good motive?

And then it hit her.

He wanted her to be safe. Just out of kindness and general concern. He was simply looking out for her well-being, despite the two of them being complete strangers. That was his motive. Just because. Because it was the right thing to do, perhaps. Because he was a kind fellow. But with these thoughts came distress. The black and red lioness became extremely vexed. Her mind didn't like the idea of a good male. It wanted to hold onto darker, vicious images of the sneering males of her old days. She wanted to dislike and distrust. So she did what her instinct told her to do.

"Good eve," she mumbled loudly.

And then she ran.

Like a bullet cutting through the water rushing from the sky, Carnadhiel kept her white eyes straight ahead in the direction of her pride. She would return and everything would be as it was before she went out seeking. She would just go home and resume her guard duties. She'd forget the whole thing.

What thing? She'd forgotten already.

Nothing had happened.

"That's the wrong...way?!" He shouted as she started to dart off in the other direction, not at all cycling what was just spoken.

The male stared at this female and blinked at what she said when it did finally hit him. In a flicker of lightning, she was gone. She was no mirage, but it felt like she should have been. Was she a reflection to a hatred that those were starting to build for him, or was it just some random meeting?

Uumizi was unsure what to think in all of this. All he wished to do was help someone in need, and it felt wrong that it was taken in such a direction. There was no use to dwell on the sentiment though, it was done and over with. She left, he was there getting soaked under the storm that gripped the area. A tree would bend under the might of the wind searing through the branches.

"Fine then...have a safe trip..." He mumured under the pounding of the thunder and droplets of water hitting him with much force. His fur was ragged and soaked, but he didn't mind. Like the storm, it raised a state of confusion like the end of it, everything will be serene as it once was, if not more wet from the course.
