Alex smiled and nodded and flicked her hair out of her eyes once more. "Yes they do." She beemed slightly then sat back on her haunches more.
She couldn't help but to giggle at his comment, she flicked her tail behind her then smirked slightly. "Well of course I have to take them off, clothes are a pain in the a** to dry." She made a face at the idea she hated when her clothes were wet.

Ilori snorted in amusement at Alex's answer. He stood to wander around aimlessly without actually wandering away. "They're also a pain to wiggle in and out of." He answered, then wrinkled his nose, "And to fix."
He sighed then flopped down, "Wouldn't mind going on a swimming venture now." He smiled, "When I was a kid, we used to have races and play all sorts of games and seeking hunts in the water. I do miss that."

Alex sighed though her nose then looked down at her baggy sleaves they were so much easier to get out of then the tight clothes. She looked over at him. "Yeah, they are... But I like them." She hated her hair wet, that was another thing. She hated holding still as her mother some how managed to braid it for her when she got it wet and had to take it out for her. She blew her hair out of her eyes then sighed through her nose.
"I haven't gone swimming in a while." She mused outloud as she stared foreward thinking.

"Swimming is good for health and temper." Ilori quipped, then stood with a stretch, "And now I'm craving a good swim. I think I'm going to go find a hole to play in." He tilted his head at Alex Zander.

Alex looked at the male and then looked down at her feet, she did like swimming and it would be a good thing to do. She looked at the male before biting her lip. "Would you mind if I joined you?" She stood up looking at the male with hopeful eyes, she didn't see how it couldhurt so why not?

Ilori tilted his head at the younger lioness. He flicked an uncertain ear back and took a look around the surroundings again. Then he nodded, "But you'll have to keep up with me!"
In an uncharacteristic burst of mischievous energy, Ilori took a leap from where he was to start himself off in a mid-speed jaunt, zig-zagging a bit as he did so.

Alex Zander blinked as he took off. She knew that other cubs did that all the time. Tag... Sheplayed it with her siblings, but the only adult that she knew who did that was her mother. But she thought that was only because that was her mother. She shrugged off the idea before giggling and running after him. She was a pretty good runner herself, she did it best at night being a lunar and all but she could still run.
"Hey! You didn't warn me thats what we were doing!" She was still giggling as she chased after the male. Her feet making a soft thumping sound as she ran.

"You always have to be ready for anything!" Ilori called back, "For what if---"
And all of a sudden he spun around, leaping up as he did so, and landing directly in front of her, one paw up, claws tucked safely away, "A gigantic monster of a lion comes your way? Preparation, Alex Zander. Preparation!"
He swatted at the air in front of her, then spun around to zoom off again.
Why? Oh, a moment of lightheartedness when he was used to the grumps of a Grinch and the roarings of a Koopa King was precisely the change of pace he needed.

Alex was very much surprised when he was right in front of her. She let out a yelp of surprise stopping in her tracks as she looked up at Ilori. She made a small face at the idea of a big lion jumping out at her. "Well... Then..." She nipped up at his paw befre he started running. I chase after him!" She giggled as she quickly jumpped back up and started to chase after him as quickly as she could.
"I'm going to get you!" She called out with a giggle. She loved getting out and playing with others. She had a big grin on her face, she loved being able to act like a cub. Slowly she was so close that she could almost reach out and grab the older males tail.

Ilori laughed, "You'll never catch me!"
The ever-so-graceful lunar feline had looked backwards to see her chase. He promptly tripped on his own feet and went cartwheeling.
"Oh, hey, star-bugs! In the daytime!" He didn't even miss a beat, calling out as he was tumbling still at lightening bugs he'd scared up out of the grass, "Come here!" Before momentum had completely ended to find him sprawled out in the grass, he reached out and thwapped one onto the ground, right under his paw. He looked back to Alex Zander.
Oh, yeah, grab his tail she certainly would be able to do. As a matter of fact, she'd be lucky not to tumble right over him.

Alex Zander was in fact almost close close to grabbing his tail that was until he ended up on the ground. His reaction was so entertaining to her at first she was distracted and didn't really have time to stop herself that was until it was too late. She was stumbling over her paws and ended up landing on his back with a 'oof'. She looked down at him and giggled some. She was in a really good mood now. "Gotcha!" She promptly jumped off of him looking at one of the bugs.
"Oooh! Star bugs!" She blurted out. Right away her cubish attention span came out. She started to chase after them going in different directions as they started to fly by her face. She was giggling up a storm as she chased after them. The grin on her face coming back once more. She loved doing things like this.

"How fortunate are we to have star bugs out now!" Ilori cheered after Alex Zander. He playfully swatted at a few, but was happy at first to watch the cub run around after them. He chuckled at her most impressive twists, and especially when her braid swung around and unwittingly smacked the bugs as well.
Watching wasn't sufficient after about 15 seconds though. "I wonder how many I can get if I body slam them!" He stood up, then reared up on his back legs, and fell onto the ground---- Fwwoohhhp!
"Try and count them... One, two--Ah-choo! Lost count.. let's just put it at.... fifty billion... You can't top that." He flicked a small pebble at Alex Zander's chin.

Alex Zander giggled as she watched Ilori. She trotted around after a while having a hard time keeping up with the bugs but trying anyway. She nipped at a few only to make a face at the taste of some of them. Before she turned around to watch the older male.
"Thats not nice! But its kinda funny!" She giggled once more before making a face at the feeling of the pebble hitting her chin. She let out a cubbish growl before nipping at one of his flakes. She moved so she was by hisdie before flopping down on his back as gently as she could then letting out another cubbish growl. "Onward!" She called out with a smirk.

"Whoever said a mean lion had to be nice?" Ilori asked with a wink. He playfully shook his flakes away from Alex Zander, then twisted his head to watch her on his back.
He looked forward, then back at her, then smirked, standing up. "Onward? Onward, milady? I shall take you onward to the pond! But you know the legend of the changing lunar lion, do you not?"
"There is a lunar lion that lurks the water ways of the Pride Lands. The nights that the moon is full and bright, he is as every lion should be. No one expects of him what becomes of him on nights like last night, when the moon has hidden herself away in her monthly rest. Those nights, he turns into a hideous creature, green and slimy, with teeth and claws five times as sharp as the bravest and most noble of the largest pride fathers and leaders. He must lurk in the waterways, or become as dry as the desert sand. These nights he hides himself away to avoid detection--but sometimes, sometimes he ignites the worst part of the curse. As all lunar lions love the water, he cannot resist sometimes a daytime swim. That is when the evil side of the Lochness Lion is irresistible even to him. And he'll CHOMP YOU DOWN!"
At the last words, Ilori suddenly went into a wild run, leapt forward, and skittered to a halt right at the edges of the water. He looked over his shoulder, "Dare you swim in the waters the day after a hidden moon?"
Then he shook himself and forced his way to sitting with her there, reaching a paw up to struggle out of his shirt with a snort, "The only Lochness Lion I ever saw was my sister's mate. I'm swimming!"

Alex Zander was caught off guard slightly when the male said that he was a mean lion. "You're not mean!" She pawed at his back before he started moving, when he did she held on the best she could.
Before she could say anything else she was wrapped up in his story. She was wondering if it was true as she watched the water ahead of them... Her mother told her some storys like that but they weren't true however he was making this one sound very realistic. She squealed when he started to take off toward the water, slinking down so she could feel safe and so that she wouldn't fall off. She looked in the water then then slipped down off of his back.
"I'm not afraid!" She giggled slightly before pulling off her own shirt and her pants laying them out before also slipping her glasses off so they were on the pile. "I'm gonna swim!" She moved closer to the water, taking careful steps into the water.
