"Oh my, sweets and pastry too?" Jeremiah chuckled at the other young lady that approached his bed. She's a lot more different compared with Alex, she has a more alluring aura about her. "Yes, Jeremiah here, just call me Jeremy. Nice to meet you Miss Yuurei. However, I think I shouldn't be eating so many sweets now, a slice of cake should be enough. Thank you kindly for the offer though." he smiled warmly at Yuurei.

"Thank you Miss Alex." gratefully, Jeremy ate the bite sized cake from the fork, chewing slowly, savoring the wonderful flow of taste in his mouth. "Mmm!" He let out a moan of gratitude as he nod his head in approval. The food in the hospital just taste horrible compared to this.

The two patients exchanged looks when Alex asked the question though. "Well you see..." Kyou started hesitantly, wondering how to explain this.

"I got admitted a week ago from being attacked." Jeremy butted in the middle of Kyou's sentence.

"And I was admitted just a few days ago from personal carelessness." Kyou chuckled in embarrassment, waving his bandaged hands a bit. "But I guess, the two incidents can be linked together. Kind of like a chain of events."

"You men are being spoiled," she replied to Jeremy's exclaimation at the treats, amused. Many had come, more than she would have honestly anticipated, but it did the Italian woman's heart wonders to see such an outpour of support for Kyou and his friend. Alex flicked her green eyes over the older man, her smile curving into a playful smirk. "Just Alex, please. You're amongst friends here." She glanced briefly to Natsuki at the praise, hoping her dear friend had heard it; it seemed the cafe owner was sorely in need of something positive, making her heart ache.

Alex moved back enough that she could look between the two men without giving herself whiplash, her smile disappearing into a frown that softened her features. "Attacked?" she repeated with obvious worry, gaze ticking over the visable bandages. Who would do this? she wondered, before ammending quietly, Or what. She was more aware than most that there were in fact things that bumped in the night.

"Personal carelessness," she stated, looking at Kyou. "And being attacked," she added, looking to Jeremiah. "Linked together." Her flat tone stated that there were pieces missing that one of them had damn well better offer up. That the two worked together...that Kyou worked with dangerous materials in the Lab...it didn't bode well. It was like an itch in the back of her mind, these things that seemed as though they should fit together and make sense, if she could just find that fine line that bound them.

"I think fine ladies should be properly referred to. Please allow me to call you Miss Alex, think of it as an old senile man's stubborn habits." Jeremiah winked. His playful demeanor toned down a bit though when the topic of conversation changed. "Don't look so worried, a smile suits your face better than a frown." he wished he could stretch out a hand to touch her face. Alas, the doctor said he shouldn't be moving too much right now.

A pang of guilt hit Kyou when he saw Alex's worried expression. Alex deserves to know, since she's part of the lab already. Giving a look to all the other people in the room, he felt like it is time for an explanation.

"Jeremiah got hurt..." he paused mid-sentence, finding his words. "...when he was trying to catch a soul for me. He was in pretty bad shape, but Werika was there and he helped me to call the ambulance. Then a few days after, when I was choosing a fel essence to go with the soul Jeremiah caught, I kind of... fell over and dropped the jar." Kyou laughed nervously, glancing in Alex's direction. God that was quite embarassing to admit to. "In a daze, since I fell on my face, I wasn't thinking straight. In fact, I don't think I was thinking at all. I just stumbled up and tried to pick the fel essence up with my bare hands. It was a unique rock, one end hot like lava, and the other end was ice cold. Hence..." he raised his bandaged hands, thinking that actions speak louder than words. "So yeah, that was it."

Green eyes turned over Jeremy in consideration before a light sigh of defeat left her. "If it makes you happy," she replied with a light smile to the older man, although the comment of not being worried made her shake her dark hair. How could she not, when something awful had obviously happened, landing her boss and his friend in the hospital? "I'll try," Alex muttered, although that smile still clung to her lips, "no promises."

Her attention shifted again to Kyou as he began to speak, and if possible, her tan cheeks paled a little. A quick glance to Jeremey - an appraisal of his wounds - and she was again looking to her part-time boss. When he finished, she actually hung her head, shaking it in disbelief. He really was a klutz sometimes! Alex leaned over and gingerly squeezes his shoulder, unable to stop the amused smile that lifted her lips further. "Kyou, we need to you-proof the Lab." Brilliant mind, but...well, she was grateful Lazarus was there to take care of him. It was a rare case of not knowing exactly which was Guardian and which was Charge.

Alex then looked to Jeremy, moving over to his side of the bed, lifting the discarded plate and fork from earlier to cut him another small piece. "I don't know what you chased," she started, holding up the fork so he could take another bite if he wanted, "but I'm glad you got it first." Her sentiments were clear in her voice, the worry still there, but a fierce type of pride instilled in her tone. This man was more than he appeared, and to go after something that could do this to him...! Her respect for him tripled in that moment, offering up the smile he requested.

"I hope it's worth it...the Raevan," she told them both, keen eyes flicking between them. The Italian couldn't tell if there was some sort of plan between the men, but she was certain there was a reason for their methods, that something positive would come out of all this.

“You can see how together I have it. I hope you don’t find the cake a rather thoughtless,” Natsuki said, with a sweeping flush radiating from her cheeks. Normally, she’d insert a flirtatious offer to sweeten up the doctor’s day, but there were too many people whom she was not acquainted with, including a busty pastry toting blonde and her black cat raevan.

“Its okay, Natchi. Make it up to Dr. Kyoupi later by feeding him like a prince. You know, like those nurses on the trashy soapies you watch when you think I’m taking a nap,” Sa’ida attempted to console her guardian, completely oblivious that this was one of those rare occasions the young frei needed to use her ‘keep it secret voice’.

She hovered closely to the bed, reaching out to touch the doctor’s hand before she stopped. Natchi always used bandages and plasters when she cut herself on knives or broken plates in the kitchen, so she knew what they were. Dr. Kyoupi had big, big bandages which meant touching them would be very bad. The genie frei wanted to kiss them and make them feel better, like Natchi did to her when she cam home with the bumps and bruises of childhood. She nibbled her lip in thought, before kissing her own finger tips and blowing get-well kisses to the doctor’s hands.

“I hope those make you feel a bit better,” Sa’ida whispered more to the Doctor’s bandaged hands instead of directing her wish to the individually personally. Despite being young, she knew how important the doctor was to her guardian, so she was trying her hardest to be on her best behavior and be helpful.

Her face was possibly the color of hot magma after Sa'ida incriminating disclosure, but she let the little one have a get outta jail free card. Now wasn't the time for drama.

Despite her best efforts, Natsuki rolled her eyes when the other woman named, Yuurei, full out ignored the fact that she and Sa’ida along with Isi and Eiry were in the room. Some people banked on their looks without any form of proper social decorum. Though the café owner was quite peeved, she turned her attention to Alex and the other man, named Jeremy. “If there is anything you need, my name is Natsuki, and this is little ball of sunshine is Sa’ida,” she said with a polite curtsy. Turning her attention to Kyou, she smiled, “That goes double for you, Mister. Anything at all. I am at your service.”

Natsuki didn’t invite herself into the conversation between Alex and Jeremy, but she listened intently. Her own trial with capturing a soul sounded completely trivial compared to the epic quality of Jeremy’s story. Guilt bubbled within, but she wouldn’t let it defeat her. The people she cared about needed her, so it wasn’t time to be selfish.

Sa’ida felt a lurch in her stomach when she turned her green eyes to see the pretty black cat raevan. She couldn’t put her sun kissed finger upon it, but there was an aura about her that made the genie uncomfortable. All the shiny black and outstanding purple eyes aside, Sa’ida couldn’t talk to her. ‘Black cats are unlucky…’ she remembered reading it in a book about Halloween and its superstitions. When introduced to the older man, Sa’ida, too, gave a short curtsy. She inched away from Dr. Kyoupi’s bed and zipped behind Natsuki. Yes, even Sa’i could be shy from time to time.

The rainbow frei found the lady with the green eyes so nice and helpful. Sa’ida wondered if she was the legendary friend, Alex.

Jeremy actually laughed listening to Kyou's story, although it wasn't the first time Kyou told it, but it is still quite an amusing tale. The pain in his chest stung for a bit though when he was using too much strength laughing, moaning, he lean back onto the pillow to wait for it to subside. He smiled at Alex's remark about the hunt, "I am glad too, or else I wouldn't be able to meet you." Getting back up a little, he tried not to strain himself too much as he took another bite from the fork Alex is holding. He is glad that Alex seemed to have relaxed a little though.

"Hello Miss Natsuki, and little Miss Sa'ida." Jeremy said in greeting, nodding his head slightly as he spoke to them. "I believe I'm all set for the mean time." he chuckled, referring to Alex feeding him cake. "But if I need anymore cake when I get out, I'll be sure to visit your cafe."

"Don't worry about it Alex, the Raevan is already in the works, Lazarus is overlooking it for me." Kyou said, leaning back into his own pillow. With that said though, he does worry a little about the forming of the Baphomet Raevan. Would he be too powerful? Would he proof to be a trouble in the future? There are still a lot of unanswered questions.

However, as long as there are questions, there will be answers, and this is what drives researchers into their research. Adjusting his head on the pillow, Kyou looked at Alex. "However the Raevan would turn out in the end will definitely be very interesting." Kyou said with a twinkle in his eyes, he is definitely looking forward to get back to work now.

"You are fearsome in your gentlemanly ways," she chided Jeremy teasingly, cutting another small piece of pastry. "I'm almost afraid to see you when you're at full health. We will see more of you after this, right?" Alex smiled warmly at the older man, finding him quite the charmer, and somehow the complete opposite of Kyou. Of course, the doctor had his own charm, but the horned man didn't seem to realize it. And they said women were the complicated ones!

Her eyes turned over her shoulder to rest upon the upset visage of her friend, offering Natsuki a smile that spoke more loudly than any words she could have uttered. She would see to it that she properly embraced the lovely woman and her charge before she left the men's room.

Alex's gaze eventually turned to Kyou, her slender brows knitted in thought. "Kyou, if this soul was so dangerous...are you keeping the Raevan then?" There was concern for her part-time boss, for Lazarus; both of them could be at a potential risk, especially the busy and oft absent-minded doctor. "It sounds dangerous, but I suppose that's the definition of 'interesting' for we science types." The woman scaled cliffs for living and thrust herself in the habitat of beasts to learn about them; she could appreciate something 'interesting.' "If it's okay with you, I'll check on Lazarus until you can go back to work." It certainly wasn't to keep the Sigel company, as she knew the Raevan was a bit stoic at best, but for the sake of study and care, she would likely sneak in even if Kyou said otherwise.

Another glance rested upon the shy visage of Sa'ida, her smile light. It'd been a while since she'd seen the sunny Frei, although she looked as though she was blossoming under Natsuki's care. Taking a breath through her nose, her attention settled again where it started, upon Jeremy's face, silently mulling what the gentle older man and kind doctor could have possibly gotten into.
