Samantha looked up at her friend, whom was looking at the yellow bulb in the sky. She smiled and then looked up at the spinning light, which swirled around and around and around. Her head actually began to follow it for a few moments, until she realized that her new friend had stated something to her. "Oh...no. Awe you?" she asked back, wondering if her friend was scared in the least.
Erikk nodded in agreement. "She is the perfect child. She is totally fine now. At first it was a bit tough, but now that she is getting to the point in her life that she is beginning to grow up a bit, she seems to be getting better with the fact of having a family. How big is your family?" Erikk asked, trying to prolong the conversation. Who knew how long these two girls would want to be in the lighthouse? He didn't. So he decided to keep the two adults occupied.

Adhara smiled happily at the girl, excited for the adventure that they were just beginning to embark on. "Nope! I'm not scared at all," she said, nodding in reply to the other girl's lack-of-fear. It was a good thing that the smaller girl seemed to want to go into the lighthouse with her. If she didn't, it would have been kinda boring to go by herself. One of Adhara's tentacles pet Sam's poofy red hair, curious about the strange feel of it, as it wasn't at all like Adhara's, neither in colour or in texture.
Adhi took the girl's hand once more and snuck into the lighthouse. It was dark, understandably, aside from the occasional illumination from the light that was on top of it sneaking it's way through the cracks in the roof. It probably wasn't the safest of buildings, but she would probably be able to find a place to keep safe if the whole thing collapsed. At least, that's what she told herself; it was hard to tell if it was really true or not. Her pupils widened as her eyes tried to adjust to the darkness within the lighthouse. She went to the wall that divided the inside from the outside, trying to look for a lightswitch that she couldn't find. She frowned softly, but didn't mind too much. Maybe they would find a light later. "C'mon, Sam. We'll have to go through the dark for a little bit," she commented, nodding a couple of times as she groped her nightblind way to find something like stairs, or anything else that would lead upward.
Noah chuckled softly at Erikk's choice of words, and smiled faintly at Adhara, who was still trying to adjust to her new home. "Yeah... Adhi's getting more used to living with me, but she's not totally accustomed to it yet. I guess I should be patient, but it gets a little difficult sometimes- that girl keeps me up all night sometimes," he couldn't help but laugh at this statement, even if it wasn't really funny, per say. He blinked at the question, before his mind clicked and he figured out what he was being asked.
"Oh- It's just me and Adhara. My friend Guinevere takes care of her sometimes, and is the one who makes a lot of her clothes, but we're not related or anything. It gets a bit lonely sometimes, but Adhara seems to be making friends pretty easily," he replied, following after the girl into the dark lighthouse, wondering how safe it really was for the two toddlers to be wandering around such a place on their own. A chain-string tapped his face after a few steps in, and he grabbed it and looked up, wondering what it was for before just taking a guess, and pulling it down. As predicted, it illuminated the entire ground floor. At least, most of it.

Samantha smiled and nodded, walking into the darkness with Adhara. She could hardly see a thing. She smiled and walked slowly, Adhara's tentacle petting the top of her head. She thought that was alright though, it was weird to her that her friend had tentacles. But nevertheless, she had wings right? Maybe everyone was different, and special in their own way. That was her assumption of the subject anyways.
Erikk smiled and nodded. "Yes, I have my good friend, Annalissa take care of her from time to time. Yet, she honestly doesn't really have any way with children. She actually scares me at times when she's taking care of them. It's just hard leaving them every day for work." he said, smiling. He just walked in, the lighthouse was now illuminated by the light that Noah had come across. What was to happen now? The place was a bit damp, but what else would the be able to do? Chat was all Erikk could think of, while letting the girls play around.

When the lights came on, Adhara blinked curiously before looking back at Noah and the cord attached to the lightbulb that was the source of the sudden illumination. She pouted a bit at Noah for ruining her fun, but was otherwise fine with the new lighting. It meant that she would be able to find the stairs more easily. Speaking of which~! She almost-skipped over to a hard-to-find staircase pressed in a corner. It was steep, and looked like it spiraled, which only made it all the more exciting. "C'mon, Sam!!" she chirped happily, tugging her friend up the stairs, which were almost so steep that she would need to crawl on all fours to get up it. Thankfully, it was just steep enough to where it was hard, but she could climb up it just on her feet.
"I'm definitely grateful that Ginny's good with kids. If she wasn't, I don't know what I would do when I'm away from home for any length of time. She'd definitely a life-saver," Noah said, cautiously watching the two girls in case anything happened in the lighthouse. Not that anything all that bad could happen, of course. He would have leaned against the wall, but he wasn't completely sure that he could lean against it without ruining his clothes, or without the wall caving in. "I don't work a whole lot, mostly just on the weekends..." Noah commented offhandedly, though he felt a bit bad about it, knowing that there were a lot of other people who'd like to be in his shoes. "You know, if you ever needed anyone to watch Sam, I'm always here; I imagine it's not the easiest thing for someone to take care of kids like Adhi and Samantha when they're not used to it..."

Samantha, being dragged at the time, was so excited. The light did make it easier to navigate throughout the lighthouse, and she was happy for it. She did however, need to climb on all fours once Adhara pulled her towards the stairs. She got up one at a time. It took a bit longer, but she did it. Once they had reached the top of the staircase, Samantha looked around and saw that large light spiraling around and around.
Samantha looked up at the ceiling. What was that? What were they? "What...is tat?" she said as she pointed up at the ceiling. The next thing that could be seen was bunches of eyes opening and staring right back at her and Adhara. All of a sudden, before another word could be said. All the bats began swirling around the room, screeching and flapping their wings to get around and they flew out of the lighthouse through holes in the upper corners of the walls. Samantha let out a scream of fright. She was now scared beyond belief.
Meanwhile, as the two girls made their way up the stairs, Erikk had smiled and replied, "Yes, it's nice having someone there...wait? You'll take care of her? Wow...that's very kind of you. I would never have thought that anyone would want to take care of another child. I mean, yes, there are those who are gifted parents, but one child is hard enough. I have two as of now. Thank you, very much. I'll take that into consideration when looking for a babysitter. I-" was all he could say before he heard the scream from upstairs. "Sam!" he said. He began to run up the stairs, two at a time. He hoped everything was okay.

Adhara was just as excited as the other girl was at where they were going, and it took her about the same amount of time to manage to get up the stairs step-by-step as it did for the littler girl to do so. When they reached the top, the first thing that she noticed, of course, was the spinning light. For a moment, that held her attention, amber eyes glinting when the light reflected in them. However, when her friend said something, she blinked her attention away from the light and looked at the little redhead. She tipped her head to the side, and looked up at the ceiling, squinting to try and distinguish what the large mass actually was. "It's... um..." she started, but was unable to finish as eyes similar to her's started blinking open all over the ceiling. Her eyes widened when the first squealing noise sounded out, and she screamed when Sam did, dropping to her knees and covering her head, wings pressing hard against her bad for fear that something might happen to them.
"It's not a problem at all, really. I'm not really a 'gifted' parent, but I wouldn't mind taking care of another child; it would actually be a little easier than just taking care of Adhara. She always needs something to do, and she doesn't bother me as much when she has a frie-" Noah was cut off as well and his brown eyes snapped wide at the sound of screaming from upstairs. He followed Erikk silently up the stairs, but just as quickly, worried about what may have happened in the decrypted building. The two made it to the top of the stairs in time for a few of the other bats to be flying out the holes in the walls, or tucking themselves away in the corners. Noah sighed in relief, already assuming that it was just the bats that had scared the two girls; they were very young, after all, bats would have scared him, too.
"Shh, shh, it's alright, Adhi. They were just bats, sweetie," Noah cooed, kneeling down beside his little girl, who immediately wrapped her small arms around his waist and tried to calm her fearful tears, shoulders shuddering and feathers ruffling uncomfortably, as though they would better be able to protect her if they were fluffier. Noah pet her head softly, thankful to have the girl be close to him for once, though sad that she was so scared the only time that she was willing to be so affectionate with him. He smiled faintly at Erikk, and tried to lift his child into his arms. It was an awkward process, with her tentacles having latched themselves around his waist as well, but he managed it eventually. "Well, aside from the scare this seemed like a pretty good adventure." He chuckled wryly. "I guess kids will be kids, though, right? I should probably be taking Adhi home now, though. This has been an... eventful day, to say the very least."

Once Erikk hit the top of the stares he grabbed Sam and realized that it was just the bats that had done it. He, as well as the other parent, tried to calm the child down by holding on to her. He smiled back at the other man. Erikk pulled the little girl into his arms as she cried. They were just babies after all. What were they going to do?
He nodded and said, chuckling, "Yes, I feel the same way. A very eventful day indeed. Yes, I better get Sam home now too. She's to scared to do much else. It has been a long day for the two already. It was very nice to meet you though. And thanks again for the offer of taking care of Samantha while I'm away. I really do appreciate it. We'll see ya around."
He smiled, went down the stairs, and before fully leaving, said, "Bye again. We shall see more of each other in the future." He nodded, smiling, and taking the sobbing girl back home. The two walked back towards their house. What a day it has been...
