Indeed you are. smile But to be Blackened Death, don't you have to have musical elements of both Genres, not just an anathema for religion? I'll be honest that I never really listened to Deicide (as you know) but I'm not sure if they would really qualify as Blackened Death Metal.

I'm not a huge Deicide fan either.
@Robbie- Nah, dude. I don't listen to much -core genres, KWD is a really good band and that's about all I listen to for Deathcore. I like the vocalist, I think Matt's pretty talented, you know, except on Inhaling... where he did the burping thing. I like how the sampling is used in conjunction with the lyrics of the song, as it's part of the story, not like "LOL SAMPLE HERE BLAHBLAHBLAH SAMPLE AGAIN LOL"

Where to you think the term "Death Metal" came from? It originated as people describing "Death's Metal" because they had a style all their own. Death is the grandfather of Death Metal as Dio is the grandfather of metal in general.
