Jeffrey still looked nervous as he watched her waking up, his ears laid back, mimicking hers, as he saw how badly she wanted him to stay. He hated upsetting people and seeing people sad, but he really couldn’t stay much later, "I'm sorry" he looked down at his paws sadly "My owner will get worried if I don't get home soon...We can meet again tomorrow and play together if you like?" he tried to cover his sadness with a cute smile.

Ali didn't say anything, she more or less gave him a look of disappointment and went back to her spot on the hill, farther from him. "Just go" She said before she laid back down and closed her eyes, moving back into the pod shape she had been in while she rested. She looked out at the sky and realized she was alone now and that would turn her cold.
Only he had an owner that cared. Hers cared, yet she was more or a outside bunny and came home just to let her owner know she is alive.

Jeffrey watched her go, and felt unhappy with himself. He knew his owner was going to be worried sick about him, but he couldn't just leave his new friend like this, not when it seemed there might be something wrong. Surely his owner would understand that right?
He couldn’t understand why Ali wasn't going home to her owner, why was she curled up on the hill alone like that? Was she planning to sleep there? Looking up to the darkening sky he sighed deeply, as all these questions ran through his mind.
Shaking his head to clear his mind, he hopped over to her slowly, nervous as he approached her, "I spose I can stay a bit longer...is something wrong Ali?". He sat down next to her, waiting for her to face him so he could give her a friendly smile to show her that he cared.
((Aww he's such a cutie ^^ *huggles bunny Jeffrey* I wish I could huggle the real Jeffrey, I bet he was just as adorable and sweet in rl heart ))

Ali ignored him, clearly wanting him to go. She didn't look at him or make any real moves to look like she wants going to. "Just go before your owner gets worried" She said flatly and then closed her eyes and moved her head into her chest fur, seeming more like a pod now. She didn't mean to come off as rude but it was how she was now. She was only expressing her disappointment in the fact his owner cared whether he came home or not.

Jeffrey stood up, looking disappointed, "Oh...ok then". He walked a few steps before suddenly frowning, marching back over to her and sitting down again, "No. I’m not going anywhere until you tell me what’s wrong" he poked her in the side, trying to sound as determined as possible. He would have folded his arms if that were physically possible for rabbits.

Ali seemed to not want to answer the question. For the longest time she just sat in her curled up position. Then she looked over to him, her eyes expressed no emotion. No sadness, jealousy, or the glimmering happiness she had when she sang. "Why do you want to know so badly?" her eyes closed a little then she looked down at the ground before her. She wanted to scream if it wasn't for the fact she would lose her voice again.

"Because, you are my friend and there's something bothering you, therefore I’m not going anywhere until I find out what it is" he placed a paw on her shoulder and offered her a friendly smile "Maybe I can help? ...Wait, its not me is it? Have I caused you to feel this way?" he suddenly felt nervous again, praying the answer would not be a yes.

Ali hated that word so much right now..'friend'. Since when did she give him that title? He assumed too much. She hated that smile but played it back at him. "It's not you" She replied softly. "Never been you" Her voice lowered and the smile vanished. "Do you have any friends..other..then me?" She asked out of pure curiosity.

Jeffrey nodded, relieved he hadn't caused her unhappiness "Of course, I have loads of friends! ...oh wait" he thought about it for a moment, looking down at his paws, "Actually not really I guess, but then again, my owner is my friend, does she count? ...See I've only been allowed to go exploring on my own as of recently". He could feel Ali was still very unhappy, and found himself resisting the urge to step back a few paces, "So are you going to tell me what wrong Ali?" he was starting to feel she wasn't the happy and friendly Wabbit that he thought she was when they had met, but a mere hour or so ago.

Ali watched him for a moment then stood. "You have an owner that cares! I don't!" Her eyes teared up and her voice calmed itself. "I only go home a few times a week. I bet when you get home you are greeted with open arms and happy smiles dressed in warmth and kisses. What do I get? I'm lucky to have food waiting for me at the door or even on the table. Heck...if she even gets up to make me some..I would be shocked." She said coldly and took a step back. "I'm lucky to get a h--!" Her voice cut off and was followed by a yelp.
Her foot slipped from the edge of a steep part of the hill and she rolled down it. Her little body didn't struggle against the ground as she knew she could not grab it, it was too mushy and she didn't have the claws to see fit.
Soon she hit the water with a small splash and the water settled. Ali didn't know how to swim, the first thing she did when she got under water was try to get to the top then, in panic, she took a deep breath and water started to fill her lungs...She only had one thought on her mind. "I hope she is happy" She referred to her owner.

Jeffrey stepped back, paw finding its way to his lips again as she yelled at him. His ears went back against his head and he remained silent. How horrible that her owner doesn’t care about her! How could she not care about her own Wabbit? he thought to himself, though his thoughts were soon interrupted by Ali, disappearing down the side of the hill.
At first all Jeffrey could do was stand there and stare down at her, watching, frozen in place as she slipped. The splash as she hit the water at the bottom, woke him from his trance and he climbed down the hill quickly, slipping in the dirt as he went til he reached the edge of the water. Panicking slightly, he took his hat off, throwing it to the side as he prepared himself to jump in and save her. Then he remembered... he couldn’t swim! "Er um er hmm" he muttered to himself as he rushed back and forth along the side of the pond in a panic, "Ali?! You're going to be ok! I'm going to get you out! ...Somehow".
What could he do? He couldn't just jump in, or they'd both drown for sure. Suddenly he got an idea, grabbing a fallen tree branch from a nearby tree, he dragged it over to the pond with his teeth and push one end out over the water to where Ali was struggling, "Grab this!" he tried to scream, through with a mouth full of branch it sounded more like: "Gab is!"

He blue eyes were still open as she watched the branch be extended to her. Her lungs still being filled with water, holding her breath was pointless to her at this stage. But she didn't want to die. She grabbed onto the stick, with her teeth, with the remaining energy she had and closed her eyes once more. Her body went limp and her chest was puffed out passed the usual limit of a normal (non prego) wabbit.

Jeffrey pulled the branch with all his strength, dragging it until Ali was at the edge of the water. He let go of the branch at that point and rushed over to her, grabbing the scruff of her neck with his teeth and pulling her further up the bank, until he felt she was safe.
Now completely out of breath, he nudged her with his paw, "You alright Ali?" he hoped he wouldn’t need to do any mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, as he had absolutely no idea how that was done properly. He'd only ever seen it being done in movies, but he was willing to try if she needed it. "That was a close call huh?" he flopped down next to her, laying on his back with his paws in the air, trying to catch his breath.

Ali lay motionless on the ground. She had passed out. Not dead. Her mouth had a small trickle of water and drool flowing from it and her breathing. She barely breathed and it would stop if she lost this little bit of air.
She could hear him talking but couldn't seem to wake herself for the conversation.

Jeffrey poked her as he lay beside her, rolling over quickly as he realised she didn’t seem responsive, "Ali?" he sat up, and nervously rolled her onto her back, placing an ear to her chest to listen for her heartbeat. He could hear it, but it was faint and he knew he'd have to attempt to revive her, "Oh, I hope I do this right"
Placing a paw over her nose gently, he took a deep breath and blew into her mouth, before listening to her chest again. He repeated this action about 5 times, praying that he was doing the right thing. The actors in the movies did something similar to this, he remembered, he just hoped there wasn't more too it.
After a few minutes of this, Jeffrey started to feel extremely light-headed. He hadn’t given himself enough time to catch his breath before he started, and found himself collapsing next to her. He hoped she was going to be alright, but was unable to do anything else until he caught his breath and the world around him stopped spinning.
