@ Tairen Soul: Y'know, I think you're on to something. I read your post and thought, "But wait! There's--there's--oh, crapeth." I'm sure in a while (*cough* a week *cough*) I'll be able to think of similarly-headed pairs, but right now?
Another irritant I found myself complaining of recently, and to a guy to boot: there are some erotica authors (*cough* Lora Leigh *cough*) whose books could work just as well, if not better, were she to tone down the erotica bit and focus a little more on her umbrella plot. If Ms. Leigh were to do what Lori Foster and KMMoning are doing--going in a different direction, writing-genre-wise, and emphasize the supernatural/fantasy/sci-fi/mystery part more than the romance part (blasphemy, I know, I know)--I would probably have a seizure of joy. At the moment I just wanna find out what happens next with her Breeds.

Haven't read Mercury's story yet, though I really need to. My faves are Kiowa (the coyote) and what's-his-face from "Breed Next Door"--I can never remember his name, just that I loved him and his short story. xd I'm so bad. I was looking for Elizabeth's Wolf for free somewhere online for two days, then complained about being unable to find it to a friend of mine. He was like, "Who's the author?" and I was like, "Lora Leigh," and he said, "KK hold on," and I said, "Yeah, sure," and TWENTY MINUTES later he sent me FORTY of Lora Leigh's books. *faint* He said he had sources. I said no kidding.

I don't know if this is actually cliche or not, but I've started noticing it a little more: I hate it when the heroine de-balls the hero. When the hero goes from big, strong man to wuss -- while she has remained a strong woman through out the whole thing and won't be satisfied until the man bends over backwards for her and gives her his spine.
