Bombei tossed his head back and laughed at that. "True, true. I'm afraid that coming up with just the way to tell your story will have me stumbling all over the place for a good long time." His mind was already churning away at the tale, though he tried to ignore it. He really was so glad that Kannon hadn't been angry.
"Say, where are you headed? I can't just leave the hero of the story adrift in the rogue lands, now can I? Well I suppose I could, but if you had something in mind..."

Kannon was glad to hear a true, honest laugh. It had her giggling a bit, before regaining her poise. "I...am looking for a sanctuary. A place where a girl, any girl, can find refuge and safety from those males who seek to harm her." She knew such a place existed. It had to...
But once she found it...what would she do? She would deal with that when she got there. For now...for now, she was here.

"A sanctuary..." He tried to think. Had he ever seen such a place? Probably not. Not that females being treated well was rare, but it almost sounded like Kannon was looking for a place where there were ONLY females. And being a male, he'd obviously never been in such a place.
Oh wait, maybe he did know something! "A pride," he nodded, "I don't know much about it. In the jungle. There are males and females, but the females are the leaders. I'm sorry, I never visited there so I don't know much. I've never been allowed."

Kannon nodded. "Thank you for telling me of it, Bombei. It is, at the least, worth looking into." She gave him something of a bow. "It...was very nice talking with you, Bombei." The smile she gave him was warm.
"For now though...I must depart. There is much ground for me to cover yet...and little time." She still felt too close to her father's territory...too, too close...

He nodded back. "You're very welcome." He watched as she started to leave, then called after her, "Good luck! Here's to not running into you, the next time I run into you!"END.
