Damaris really wasn't too sure if she had any questions on this subject. She decided to take a few notes and just wait until they had more information, maybe she'd have some questions that linked some subjects later on.

Magic was interesting to her, it was mysterious, and that was probably the only reason she was really even paying much attention.

"Ah, well, a person is either one or the other. Both types still have to learn spells, but the way they channel their magic ability is different. So there's not really a matter of preference but a matter of finding out which type you are." Sarah smiled at Kliken and glanced over to Oliver. "Learned magic users have to use a device to channel magic power while innate users are more in tune. Especially internal innate users."

"Are there any other questions before we move on?"

LucĂa listens sincerely to the questions that make her partners and the teacher's answers. This is very interesting, she doesn't know that magic type she is but she hopes it is not very difficult of learning.

"Is somebody able to not to make magic? you said someone is one or anothes but can someone are nothing" she hope she can made magic, magic is cool.

Kliken wrote down what the teacher said in his notes, chewing on the end of his writing utensil before raising his hand again, "H-How does one k-know what type of m-magic user they are?" He asked of the teacher, eager to know what sort of things he was capable of. Magic was something that interested him greatly.

Ala twirled her pencil about boredly. Ugh, why couldn't these kids just shut up and let the teacher finish so they could get out of there? She sighed and jotted down another note or two before starting to doodle along the edge of the page. Boring....

Oliver asked no other questions, and wrote down the teacher's answers quickly, quite fascinated himself. He cast a glance down at Trace every once in a while, glad to see he was behaving himself.

Sarah turned and smiled at Lucia. "A good question. Yes, there are some that have no magical ability at all. Though those aren't very common, really. Many who say they can't do magic either don't know how to summon it according to their magic type or are very weak. Though even weak mages can enhance their abilities over time through practice and the aid of some devices. Also, some races have more magical abilities than others."

Her attention turned then to Kliken. "The easiest way is for another mage to tell you. However, I do not know much magic myself. I'm sure I have abilities, I just don't use them. I never learned how to and don't plan to. I'm a science person." She grinned at that.

Ah, it seemed that was all for questions for now. "Okay, not only are there different types of magic users, there's different types of magic spells. All mages can use both types, though some have a personal preference to one over the other." She wrote on the board 'Elemental' and 'Arcane'. "Elemental spells are easiest to learn and use and have a better energy use. But most mages are strongest in one element and have problems controlling other elements. You occasionally find someone who is good at two elements, though they are often weaker overall in both compared to a mage of the same ability level who can only do one element."

"Arcane spells are more versatile. Whereas you'd have a problem summoning water in the middle of say a volcano with an elemental spell, which uses the water around you, an arcane spell could be performed. It takes more energy and is not as efficient, but can be used in a variety of situations."

Kliken went back to taking down the notes, finding himself more and more curious as the teacher went along. He had to find a mage to help him to figure out what sort he would be? He wondered where he would find one of those. He tapped his writing utensil against his lips when he got done with his notes and looked up at the teacher, "C-Could... one person l-learn both? A-Arcane and Elemental I mean, so t-they are ready for a-anything?"

She had said learning more then one type of spell would make you over all weaker but surely being more versatile with your range of spells would help to counter balance that.

The koala girl sighed. Boring~ Why were these classes so boring? It was just magic... she'd liked the teacher in the biology classes... Perhaps she just didn't get magic that well... Well, at least that one kid had good questions. She just sat and waited for the teacher's answer.

Sarah frowned as her class seemed to be losing its attention. She looked at Kliken and chuckled. "Well, technically yes... but most magic users won't consider you to be a master at one type unless you've spent a lifetime studying it, so it'd be hard to master both. You could learn both, but it could do more harm than good as even a good mage can run into problems with spells."

She glanced about the classroom. "Well, since it seems that most of you are losing attention... Do you have any final questions? Otherwise, we're done here..."

Damaris tapped her pencil on her note pad, she felt like Ms. Walker covered about everything that she wanted to know right now. There wasn't much left to ask, Kliken seemed to have that covered. Plus Red was looking like he was going to start some trouble soon from being so bored. She figured she'd write down the last few notes and be done for the day.

Ala scowled. Yeah, she had a question: Could they leave now? The girl jotted down a few last things in her notebook and closed it, cramming it and her pencils into her bag. She wanted out of there... and fast. As soon as the teacher said they could leave, she'd be gone!

Kliken looked around the classroom at the others students before he took down his last few notes, "N-No... I think t-that's all I have." He murmured, though he wondered if he should come back to her if he had more questions or if he should go and find a mage as she had suggested earlier.

Oliver finished writing the leech boy's question and the teacher's response down into his notes. He was fairly interested, and excited over finding out which type he would learn eventually. He thought for a moment, and then blinked, raising his hand.

"When will we actually begin to learn to cast spells, and all that?" he asked, his ears perked.

Sarah watched as most of her class seemed to be ready to go. But one student did have a question. "When you take a class with an actual magic teacher." She grinned and answered. "I only know the basics of magic. I'm not a mage. But I know enough to help you get started so that when you have a class with one of the magic teachers you'll be ready."
