He chuckled, "Ah, well Im quiet flattered that you remember it. My sister and I's names are simular, basically all the same letters just mixed..and I believe I have one more N than she does. Benoni vs Niobe.." He nodded.
"I see Heph and Ty once in a while, they're both grown now and out finding the world themselves.." He nodded, hed like to see them more but he knew they needed to spread their wings..literally as well.
"Well, don't think about it, just let it slip away. No reason to dwell on it further, specially if it brings you pain." He nudges her shoulder lightly. "Ah the sea, its beautiful. I do enjoy it from time to time...quiet a treck to get to it from my home though.."

As he said it, Dory also remembered it. She nodded. 'You have very unusual names, mine is very ordinary.'
Benoni, Benoni, Benoni! She was most determined to remember it this time and if that meant she looked a little like she was staring into space as she said his name in her head over and over again then so be it.
'I see one of my sons more than all my children.' she said. 'He's such a lovely boy, I think he feels that if he has to keep checking up on his mother because of how I am. That I'll forget where I am. Which has happened once or twice I must admit.' she laughed.
'He worries as well because I have no one.' she looked at Benoni. 'It's not so far from where we are now I think. Did you want to go see it again?'

"Dory isn't ordinary..I've never heard it before." He reassured her with nod of his head. "Its exotic to my ears..But, honestly I dont see many these days. I suppose Im sort of a hermit." He chuckled.
"I see my daughter more than anyone else..Though, I suppose its me checking up on her more than anything really.." He chuckled.
"He cares about his mother, its only natural...And with a mother as wonderful as you. Im sure he does it out of love.." He nodded.
"That would be wonderful actually, its been a while since I've been on the sand. Its good for the hooves you know.." He glanced to his cloven hooves.

'Like the crab?' Dory looked at him with wide eyes. No, he couldn't mean like the crab but she did give him another surreptitious look to see if he was dragging around a large shell.
'Wonderful mother? I'm not always so sure about that.' she gave a little self-deprecating smile, her nose darkening though as she was sure that was a compliment. It had been right? It was a long time since anyone had said anything nice that wasn't related to her so she was not totally sure.
'Shall we go then?' she asked him, looking both directions of the river. All she now had to do was remember which way she had come from and go back that way.

"Yes, like the crab.." He teased her a bit, "I just don't change my homes once one grows to small..Its not hard for a home to fit one just fine.." He smiled.
He couldn't help but chuckle as the color on her face deepened with a blush, boy had it been a long time since he'd gotten anyone to blush. A very long time, it was nice to know, he could still give a compliment and get a reaction.
"Yes, we shall.." He started to head down the river, letting a bit of water lap at his hooves. "Do you live by the ocean?" he asked with a curious glance in her direction.

Her eyes bugged even more as he played along, and she walked around him.
'Where's the shell now then?' she asked, in all seriousness, as she walked back around to his front, and then followed him into the river, the water tugging at the hair on her hooves, making it swirl around her legs.
'Yes,' she said, his shell home forgotten for a moment as she thought on his question. 'I love the sound and the smell of the ocean. I should have been one of those..fishy Soquili that actually live in it.'
