( Forgive sudden textstyle change.)
"Yep, that's how it works," Laial said, graciously, as he tipped the dice into his grey hand. "Wanna roll first?" The snake-girl was younger. It wasn't in the rules, but even the proud Laial knew that the younger kid got to go first; it was a matter of courtesy.
Besides, the point was to keep her entertained. "I'll explain as we go along."

(No worries :3)
Tryst obligingly picked up the pair of dice, cupping them in her hands and shaking them, her little black tongue poking out from the corner of her mouth. She shook them for a moment or so, before opening her hands and letting them drop down on the board.
"A two an' a four. That makes... Five?" She asked, looking up at Laial again, a confused look on her face. She wasn't entirely certain with numbers yet, since she hadn't had very many kindergarten classes yet, but that seemed to be right.

"Two and four makes six," said Laial, unable to help gloating a little bit to himself. It was nice to be older sometimes; it was fun to know more than a kid. Still, after a moment the nautilus boy nearly kicked himself. Stupid, you just gave her an advantage! His pleasure in his knowledge soured. "So move your piece forward and then I'll roll..." he muttered, lower lip poking out in a pout.

Tryst smiled appreciatively for his correction, and leaned forward to move her piece on the board. She counted the steps out loud, looking up at Laial after she finished. "Your turn!"
((Want to fastforward? xd ))
