Kuyoja watched as they worked together, noticing that the boy seemed to have quite good reflexes for his age, he had to wonder about the kids training.
"It is alright...you two may try again." He commented allowed his students to try the moves again.

Damaris snickered, "fine," She said readying herself again, "You don't need to be scared, I said before that I wasn't going to hurt you," She joked with him before sending her fist at his chest again.

Chath had to resist the urge to move out of the way, and thus his over thinking tended to make his movements a bit lethargic. The blow to his chest met and he winced though his hand seconds later after the effect managed to push the girls hand aside.
Okay so he had a lot of training with a dragon...and with him he had to avoid acidic spit and razor sharp teeth and claws...his experience with fighting other humanoids was severely limited.
"heh, you got me." he commented and now he wondered if he was suppose to try and recipricate.
"My turn." he stated as he readied himself to send a punch back aimed a bit higher on Damaris so he didn't accidentally hit her chest.

Kuyoja only watched in silence as the pair returned punches back and forth. The boy seemed preoccupied or distracted, he wondered if it was because his opponent was a girl.
Still he watched ready to give instruction when needed.

Damaris looked surprised that Chath didn't block her punch. She wasn't trying at all that time. As their blocking progressed Damaris started trying harder but noticed a lack of...effort from the newts end.
"You better not be going easy on me Chath, I'll kick your a** if you are because I'm a girl," Damaris told him. She was dead serious too, she hated it when people treated her any different because she was a girl. She started to pick up the pace just to try and provoke her opponent into paying closer attention.

Chath's face flushed slightly, "Ah...i..its not.." He started as he was starting to at least pick up the pace with his blocks and actually able to succeed in blocking a few of them.
How was he suppose to explain he didn't want to hurt...not just her but anyone? That was why he dodged...if he didn't fight back but couldn't get hurt that worked out the best right?
He tried to re-double his efforts but was finding it difficult to actually want to hit Damaris. He had a sneaky suspicion that it didn't matter who his opponent was....it would be the same result.

"Come on Chath, if you don't start trying I'm gonna really start working ya," She said flicking her tail behind her. The girl seemed intent on making the boy give it his best.
She started speeding up her punches again. The girl wasn't holding back on the punching, she didn't expect Chath too either. Once she got into the groove of something she went with it all the way.

Chath's gaze flickered to her tail and he had to try and not reflexively dodge one of her hits and try and use his hands. This was so awkward and so much different from when he faught Keir. It was difficult, though he could just picture Keir's expression and tone if he told him he got beat up by a girl.
Narrowing his eyes slightly he didn't want Keir beating on him just because of the outcome of this class. Redoubling his efforts he punched back trying to hit her shoulder, trying to be offensive was...not like him.

Damaris smiled a bit more once Chath picked up the pace, "That all you've got?" She taunted in a friendly manner. She went about sending a few punches Chath's way and trying to block his in return. A few punches got through to her, though she didn't seem to let it bother her much. She wasn't about to get all whiny from a few punches like a lot of girls did.

Kuyoja watched in silence. Something was holding the boy back, but the girl seemed to be getting quite enthused about the class. As punches were thrown back and forth he raised a hand to signal for them to pause.
"Well done. Now that you have gotten use to each other we are now going to move onto pivots and arm blocks." he instructed waiting for both his students to be focusing on him.

Damaris was about the throw another punch when the instructor spoke up. The girl hesitated and dropped her fist before looking over to Kuyoja. She turned to face him and then stood awaiting his instructions. She thought the class was going pretty well so far, she was amused at Chath and she could realize he was taken off guard by the fact that she was a girl but she just found it as an opportunity. She wouldn't try to actually hurt him much of course, she wondered if she even could considering how quick he was, but it still amused her to throw a few punches and have him take them awkwardly.

Chath was more than a bit relieved that Damaris was no longer throwing punches at him. Not that he was scared of being hit, but he was just not use to having to fight with...'others' like him. Usually fighting with Keir he had gotten a bit too use to sparring with his black dragon.
He looked to the teacher when he suggested learning Pivots and blocks. This sounded like something he could handle.

In all honest truth the class had been going on much longer than he thought it had, glancing at the clock that was on the far wall he was surprised by the time. Shaking his head he then coughed into a closed fist.
"Actually it appears that we have run out of time today, though I would of liked to have seen more work perhaps if you both got together and practiced your hits and blocks the next class together we can press forward into more advanced classes." He offered as he turned and then headed for the clipboard he had leaning against the wall.
"I hope to see you both in the near future."
