Daisuke allowed a low warning rumble to erupt from his throat. He stepped out of the shrubbery and drew himself to his full height. He bit back the condescending 'careful, pet', that he was so tempted to tell her. His face was stony and expressionless. His muscles tensed under his blanket of furry fluff. His blue eyes were somewhat narrowed at piercing. His tail was flagged behind him.

Gem narrowed her eyes as she looked at the black striped retriever, she let out a growl. Looking her newest opponent over, she remained crouched down low, the safest position she knew, it gave her an advantage with jumping, dodging, and balance and she wasnt about to get rid of that advantage. The retriever seemed proud with the way he positioned himself standing tall, giving her lots of easy places to sink her teeth into, but she wasnt going to attack first, no she was going to let him. It let him show off his maneuvers and his fighting style, give her an idea of what she was going up against.

Daisuke smirked and gave a humourless laugh. "I'm not looking for a fight." He said seriously as he began to back up and move to the left so that his back wasn't to the bush or to her. He left three metres between them in case she decided she wanted one anyway. Again he kept himself from saying something to provoke her. He wanted to so badly! Did all pets assume wild dogs wanted to kill them? He continued to watch her, part of him amused, the other disgusted.

Gem made a quick nod, still keeping her eyes on him, she shifted slightly so as to get a better view of him. She didn't want to let this dog out of her sight, nor drop her guard, though it was hard not to smell the filth on him. This dog had something about him, something she didn't like, nor did she want to trust his word. She wouldn't want to be the fool who lets down her guard just because of some dogs words, no she wouldn't be the fool to make that mistake.

Daisuke allowed her to look him over. He gave a deep chuckle. "Why so serious?" He asked, eyes glinting, a soft grin cracking. He didn't want to fight her and wondered why she was so tense. He loosened his body posture slightly, tail slowly going into a semi-relaxed position. He wasn't about to let his guard down either but he never did leading the life he did. He noticed her crinkle her nose. He arched a brow. "What's wrong? You look like you got a snoot full of bear s**t." He asked, his tone nothing but curious.

Maria wandering on her own really soon hearing the voices of others, other dogs, as if the scent wasnt permeating the place enough.. "Other mutts..hmm" she thought deciding to take a look in on the scene, body low and ears back as she peered in at the two who seemed to be talking to each other, a golden retriever male and another female..very interesting..

Gem smirked slightly, "its my job" she sniffed scowling as she got a better whiff of the smell, though there was also the scent of another dog nearby, though this one didnt smell dirty like the male she was facing did. She didnt bother turning doubting that the other would be much of a threat. She snickered "oh so thats what you've been rolling in?" she grinned still keeping her position as low to the ground as she could get, her muscles still tense. Her paws shifted slightly sliding in the dirt as she watched the male before her.

Raithen panted heavily, dashing at top speed. The large bear had stopped the chase for Raithen a few meters ago, but the dachshund wanted safe distance...Just to be sure. When Daisuke had said 'Go chase a bear', I doubt he knew I was actually going to be chased by one... He thought, snorting to himself. His paws thrummed the earth, kicking up fallen leaves. He weaved easily between the trees the surrounded him and...Plowed right into Daisuke.

Maria let out a little huff of breath. "What a look and thats all, tsk.." straightening up as she padded into the midst of things, a curious look on her face as she glanced between the two..ooh a fight, between these two now that would be interesting, hah exciting even. "Ooh, she doesnt seem to like you much, does she?" ears flicking as she quietly sat back and observed, she wasnt much worried about either going for her, not that anyone would dare.

"Ha!" He looked quite bemused. "I don't roll in bear s**t, arigato ." He said curtly, looking her up and down. "And I wouldn't be talking if I were you, Miss. You reek of human." The cornre of his mouth ticked. "So, looking for your human then?" He smirked. "There's a road just past the forest...should get you where you're going."
He glanced to Maria and gave a shrug. "S'not my problem, now is it?" He asked. His eyes widened and he fought to remain standing as his front paws were sent out from under him. "Rai-san!" He hissed as he quickly righted himself. "Be careful." He chided.

Gem smirked "yeah right" she snickered "well you certainly dont smell likes daisies." she grinned. As she watched him she narrowed her eyes "oh wow smelling like humans i am so offended" she sniffed lifting her head proudly though she kept the rest of her body low. Her nose twitched lsightly at his last comment "i dont have a human i work for them" she growled "without me many of them would die" she glared at him, unmoving. Her ears twitched as she heard the females voice "oh and how would you know who i like?" she growled. She raised an eyebrow as a dachsund nearly knocked the retriever over.

Raithen grinned, giving a small chuckle. "Sorry 'bout that, Daisuke" He said, keeping his grin. He shuffled away a bit and sat, looking around at the dogs around the area. One dog he had seen once before, the other... "What's a pet doing here?" He growled softly to Daisuke, flicking his ears in annoyance.

Daisuke pulled a disgusted look. "Working for humans is just as bad." He said seriously before glancing to his friend. "Hush, chibi." He hissed. "And I don't know." He added seriously.

"No I guess its not" snickering as the retriever was so suddenly knocked over, ah how cute..
"Ooh, sounds like someone is a little human lover, how cute. Really your senses offended by something as natural as a little stink..I dont think he smells that bad" maria chuckled a bit of a growl in her voice, she wasnt exactly fond of humans, or dogs who worked to..protect them was it? Really..caring whether they lived or died, so trivial. "Well it seems like she likes humans..and dislikes our kind..unless im misjudging you dearest?"

Raithen muttered, flicking his ears once more. "Then why don't we chase her out?" He spat quietly, mostly to himself. The dachshund listened intently, scoffing to himself at the 'Working with humans' part.
