“Okay!” Haramia barked, following her sister happily as they raced off to save the day. She still wasn’t sure what it was they were even looking for, but she knew she would know once they came upon… it.
Whatever it was.
Seeing the little bunny, aware that her sister could not, Haramia used her somewhat blunt teeth to grab hold of Asha’s tail, waiting for her to stop before letting go again. “Wait!” she said softly, “there’s a hare in front of us! It looks like its paw is hurt…” she watched the small animal, not sure what to do. This was the kind of animal their parents would bring home to eat, but now they needed to help it. Weird.
“Don’t be afraid…” she said to the bunny, then looked at Asha, “what should we do? I want help it… do you think mommy and daddy will be mad if we help something that we’re supposed to eat?”

Asha couldn't help the squeak of surprise--though not pain, because her sister hadn't hurt her--when she was suddenly yanked backward without warning. But once Haramia had explained herself, she nodded and stayed where she was. Leave it to the pup who actually could see things, and then Asha would move forward under such direction.
She could smell the blood, and the hurt and the fear emitting from the small animal. Asha took a small step forward, thinking.
"Lead me towards it?" she requested of her sister, moving so she could be nudged in the right direction through her shoulder.
This was a tricky situation, to be sure. Usually they did eat rabbits, not care for them or wish them well. But this little rabbit was hurt and the two girls hadn't done a thing. Asha felt in her very bones that they were to help this animal. After all, that was what they had set out to do, was it not?
"We'll help you," she cooed softly in the direction she hoped was towards the rabbit. "I promise that we will not hurt you." The poor rabbit itself was shaking and shivering in fear, its eyes wide and too frozen in shock to move or run away. Hobble away, really. So it stayed where it was, heart pounding and its eyes watching the two dogs from where it was.

“Okay!” she replied, happy to help her sister head towards the injured hare. She kept her shoulder near, walking very carefully forward, stopping every now and again so as to try and keep the little baby from getting frightened. Or even more frightened, anyway. She stopped not far from the bunny, moving away from her sister for a moment to approach the animal alone. Maybe if they came over one at a time the baby wouldn’t be so horrified of them.
She didn’t her best not to show teeth or look like she was going to attack, ears flattened against her head as she inched closer still.
“Yeah,” she offered softly, “we won’t hurt you! We’re the good guys. We’re here to help.” She didn’t care that this was a meal on most days- today it was a victim they needed to aid. So she got next to the rabbit, using her tongue to lightly lick the little creature. Her body was still low to the ground, trying to show there was no will to attack in her body. “See? Friendly. We’ll help you.”
She looked over at Asha, frowning thoughtfully. “Do you think we should try to find its mommy and daddy?”

Asha slowly began walking with her sister guiding her all along, finally stopping when she was released. She thought Haramia went towards the little rabbit by herself, and then she had an idea of her own. She laid down and started crawling on her stomach, eyes open and unseeing, her ears half down onto her skull.
"We are the good guys," she said as well. "Do you know where your mommy and daddy is? We can help you get there if you show us the way. Do you know where they are? Don't be afraid," Asha cooed gently. She didn't want to scare the poor thing to death; although if they hadn't found it when they did, it would be nearer to death than before.
"We have to help it," she whispered to her sister. "Can't just leave it here."

“I guess not…” Haramia agreed, “we should look for its parents then. Or, I can! And you can stay here to make sure nothing happens to it. I don’t think it’s going to be going anywhere. I’ll see if there are mommy and daddy hares around here.”
Poor little thing, to be all alone! She knew they had to find its parents, or it wouldn’t live much longer. There would be something else out there that would eventually find it and not be so interested in helping it out.
They couldn’t let anything happen to it now that they had both told it they were there to help. Heroes didn’t lie.
And they didn’t abandon anything.
“I’ll be back!” she said, moving to head off and try to find anything that might be parents to the fragile, frightened baby bunny.

Asha nodded, agreeing. It would make sense for her sister to go out and look for the hare's parents; after all, she could see them and ask first before Asha would bump into them. Good conversation starter, bad impression.
"Okay!" she called after Haramia. She edged up a little bit towards the little rabbit--she could feel it shaking, poor thing. "It's okay," she whispered gently. "I can't see very well, but I'm going to stay right here with you. My sister is gonna go look for your mommy and daddy, and then you can go home." She smiled encouragingly at the creature (hoping she was looking in the right direction, at least).
Asha couldn't really see what it did, but she felt soft fur brush against her paw and felt a smaller paw touch hers carefully. She made sure that her teeth weren't showing in her smile and blinked her eyes, waiting for her sister and hoping she found the parents.

Haramia had a short look around the area, discovering two hares who were so busy looking around for their child that they didn’t even notice her come up. She was able to tell them without having them freak out and run off that they had found their lost kit and that it wasn’t that far off.
It didn’t take much longer after that to bring the two bunnies back to their child and have them gush over the little baby, cleaning it and letting it cuddle against the both of them. There was a feeling in Haramia that she had never felt before. Seeing them reunited- she really did feel like a hero. Normally her adventures were not quite so… real.
They were both real heroes!
“Maybe we should leave them alone now!” She told her sister brightly, trying not to cry with joy, “the good guys always leave once the deed is done!”

Though she couldn't see her sister come back, accompanied by the mother and father hares, Asha could feel the relief and love that came with them as well. She heard the soft pounding of large feet on the ground near her as the little bunny was reunited with its parents.
"And we are the good guys!" she added to her sister's statement. With a final smile, she followed Haramia off and away from the rabbits, glad they finally helped someone out. For real, too: this was no little imaginary game.

Haramia was all smiles- it felt good to finally do something really, truly nice for something. She had noticed as well that they had done something nice for real- it wasn’t just a game. And she could FEEL it, too. It was much better than any kind of pretend hero session she’d played with even her best friends.
“Let’s go home, Asha!” giggled the hyper little wild dog, “we have a lot to tell mommy!” She had a feeling their parents would never believe what had happened. Nor would any of their siblings. Didn’t matter, though. They had the adventure. That was the important thing.
((I think we can end it there. ^^))
