Feline Anachronism Considering we are an internet group of Steampunk supporters, I suppose that's to be expected. As in a wonderful surge in people pursueing archaeology as a career, myself among them heart

Ambrose Closer @Gaiman fan: "agnostic" And have you looked into medical anthropology, then? You threw me for a loop with "Gaiman Fan" and then I realized you were referring to the author. You don't know how many comments I've gotten about my name in reference to Neil Gaiman. When I actually made the name, I knew nothing about "American Gods". I still haven't read it either. xP It's simply one of Loki's nicknames from Norse mythology, which is where I assume Gaiman got it from. I said it was a form of agnosticism, because it's not quite agnosticism, since I do believe in God. My professor was a medical anthropologist. I largely got most of my inspiration to enter Anthropology as a major from her. But unfortunately, medical anthropology doesn't quite carry the same prestige, power, or paycheck (part of my plan as to how to pay for my constant wanderlust) as being an actual medical doctor. The problem with archaeology and anthropology is that it's quite expensive and a hassle to fund research. I was thinking I could supplement some of my beggarly requests for sponsorship and funding with a bit of my own paycheck, and hopefully get rid of a bit of the hassle. Plus, I intend to go to Medical School at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and serve a bit of time as a military doctor. =]

Oh, my apologies! It's rare to run into norse mythology buffs, so my compliments on the name.
As a military brat I was just about to ask if you had ever looked into it. Military service members and dependents also get the benefit of "Space A" which is practically travel for nothing. Plus with a degree your paycheck would be substantly more. Where do you want to go?

Where would I want to go? Hm... Is 'everywhere' a bit too broad? xD The way I see it, we are put on this Earth once, unless you believe in reincarnation, but even then you can only experience one life at a time, so since we've been given this Earth, I think it's only logical to see every bit of it as I possibly can. Soon enough man will enter the realm of the stars, but space is no place for a person like me. I love the Earth too much. =] I want to experience all its life, people, cultures, environments, terrain, climate, history, wildlife, and anything else I can think of to experience.

Excuse me whilst I transgress into the colloquial, but Gargoyles was the shizz!!!
Seriously, I was obssesed with that show (and now you can buy the seasons). Sailor Moon kept me awake past 3am, and I couldn't nap after school because then how would I know where Goliath was going to wake up next?!
20 pounds? Dang, I have a dog that's almost 20, and she's the bigger of the two.
As for traveling, I have this obssesion with getting to China. It's so freakin' huge, so why haven't I run into it yet? It's about the last thing to cross off my list.

Food coloring? I am in awe.
I've got them both right now, and had no clue that was the holdup! Surprising as in most of the sons I've been to there's at least a few stands selling the dvds and figurines, and one girl wandering about with a demona tattoo.

I'm Rachel, an aspiring illustration major. I'm applying for colleges right now, so that's taking up most of my time (that and getting my portfolio together...).

Evenin' squire. My name is Edward, I'm pretty much 20 years old (at time of writing anyway!), I'm from England and I'm studying policing at university with the hope of joining the police when I finish my degree.
Not really that much of a steampunk I will admit, I lack the creative and skilled hands, but I am very fond of my typewriter, my record player and my old skool suitcase (even if it is a bugger to move, every time I see someone with one of those wheeled ones it's like they are laughing at me! D= ).
Very pleased at the moment as I've just bought a tailcoat!
