Mouse decided that Frieze's approach to this was much better than her own, and thus nodded in agreement. "He'll always be here in this aquarium, though. So you can come back and visit him whenever you want to." She scratched her head in thought for a quick moment. "But if you want, maybe you can carry him around just for today? But be careful; he might bite your nose. Happened to my cousin once."
It's not that Sylvest didn't like Squirt. He just wasn't too fond of an introduction involving something being in such close proximity to his face. And at Mouse's mention of the nose-biting, he gasped loudly and clapped two of his arms over his face, making sure that that wouldn't happen to him.

He pressed his ears down, rocking back and forth on his heels, "I unno, sad prolly. But Squirt lives in a box. An' they take the eggs from the beach so they don't really have families." Thinking for a moment, he came up with a 'solution' "I could get two, so he wouldn't be lonely, then he wouldn't bite me, right?" The turtle didn't seem to mind his handling much, after all it had grown up in a petting tank and was, by now, used to be poked at. Tea turned his attention to his 'little buddy', taking one hand away from the turtle to ruffle the littler one's hair, "Whada you think Eva?"

The little guy beamed at the attention, tilting his head slightly as the older boy ruffled his hair. He wasn't quite sure what this "Squirt" thing was, although Freize had called it a turdle or something. He didn't know... The turdle didn't have any family? That was sad... Maybe Tea could be his family? That was a good idea. The boy nodded in agreement to what Teagan just said. Everyone needs family.
The male shrugged slightly, "You don't have to be related to be a family..." He shifted a bit, pondering over his words, "None of my children are related to me... Yet." His stomach jumped in excitement at that thought. The baby was coming... Erm, but back on the topic. Turtle. Right. "But they are still my family, and we still love eachother. Friends can kind of be family too... Like what if someone took one of your friends away and you never got to see them again? Or if you got taken away and never got to see them? You'd miss them too..." He shrugged again. "But it's up to you.." And then he turned his attention back to the tanks. Just like that he was out of the discussion. Ah the wonders of being bad at socializing. You run out of things to say, you don't need to say anymore.

Mouse decided to give up on her end of this conversation. She didn't feel like she was all too good at convincing children of things. What they needed was something to actually do... "Ah, look at that! It's a leafy sea dragon like Wolfgang!" the scholar noticed, pointing. "I wonder how they got permission to bring one up here? They were becoming endangered because of how popular they were, last time I checked..."
"En..day-jer'd?" Sylvest inquired.
"It means that there aren't very many of a certain kind of animal left."
"'M I en-day-jer'd?"
"I wouldn't say that you are," Mouse said with a chuckle.

Teagan flicked his ears as if he were trying to bat away a bug, a confused expression on his face. The whole time the man had been talking, his brain had basically been going, Blah Blah Blah mangoes Blah Blah family Blah Blah took away. Alright, so he hadn't been able to concentrate too well lately, there was nothing wrong with that as long as he could please the person that seemed a bit upset with him. "...Kay...?" He set the little turtle back in the tank, waving to it cheerfully, "Byebye Squirt."

Eva had become very interested in something he seemed to see back in the water, and he was quite happy staring out at it and ignoring everyone else for now. People were fun, but that thing was neat. It was all bright... Nice fishy... And then he looked towards that funny endaynjurred thingy that Mouse had pointed out, ears perking. That thingy was kinda wierd an' frilly.. He looked for his pretty fishy again but couldn't find it. He frowned.. Oh well. He went back to Tea now, feeling kinda bad about having forgotten him for a little while. He noticed Squirt was gone and blinked- he really hadn't been paying attention. He just lightly gripped onto the older boy's pantleg and smiled up at him.
The weremutt kept quiet for now- he decided to have no say in anything right now. He just stood there infront of the glass, observing the creatures.

Mouse looked around at the other tanks and was fortunate enough to look at a rare sight. "Oooh, look! That red octopus is out of its den!" she said probably a little too loudly, pointing at the sea creature. It glid like a dull red ghost across the artificial ocean floor, pausing only to devour a crab that was probably left for it as its lunch.
Sylvest looked at the octopus and had mixed feeling about it. That thing looked weird! But wasn't he one of them? "Looks weird, Mama," he said pointedly.
"Heh... a lot of people think that, I would imagine," Mouse replied, still observing the animal. "But I think they're really cool. And, by the same token, that makes you cool as well, Sylvest." She grinned.

Tea set his hand on the younger boy's head and pointed to one of the tanks on the other side of the wall, where a tiger shark was swimming around close to the edge of the tank. He glanced back to the woman the Sylvest, but decided the shark was more interesting for now, "Pretty huh?"

The 'roo was instantly fascinated by the creature- he had seen something like that on TV! They had big teeth and ate aminals and stuff. He moved closer to the tank, releasing his friend for now to trod over and get himself a better look, tail swishing along behind him. His fingers pressed immediately against the edge of the tank, eyes fixed on the creature. Eva seemed to be growing a fascination for the more scary creatures, like bats and sharks and snakes. Alla those things.

Something caught Sylvest's attention.
A sort of pedestal with a poster above it. The poster had a picture of a tall man with a striped bandanna, an eyepatch, and an exotic looking bird on his shoulder. There were some words on the bottom. He tried to sound it out: "Meeeet... the... swo-swor-dih..." Agh! That one word was hard! Thinking that the little button that he could just reach with his good arms would help, he pressed it.
"AHOY YE LITTLE LADS AND LASSIES! IF YER LOOKIN' FER ADVENTURE, COME SEE THE SWORDFISH CREW--"
Mouse jerked with surprise and slight annoyance. Who in their right mind would touch that switch- oh. It was Sylvest. "C'mere, kiddo..." She picked him up, and sensing that a little more interactivity between child and fish would be good, added, "Who wants to go see the touch pool? It's right down this hall. There's manta rays and stuff."

Tea jumped at the sound, flicking an ear curiously. "Swooordfishies!" he cooed in amazement, staring at the poster. He lost interest at the sound of Ms. Mouse's voice, snapping his head up to look at her, "The touch pool's fun! Not as fun as the jellies though, cause you can swim in there with them, but people get mad sometimes if you try an swim in the touch pool."

The little guy started at the sudden loud boomy voice, lifting his head to look over at the pedestal as well.. It was quiet now, though, so Mouse easily caught his attention. And then Tea said it was fun, and he was suddenly full of curiousity. What was this 'touch pool'? He wanted to see. He raised his hand to show he wanted to go, and then plodded over to the woman, forgetting about Freize for now.
The male didn't seem to mind anyways- he hadn't turned his head from the tank he was looking at. His mind was elsewhere. The loud noises and talking didn't even seem to catch his attention.

"Alright, that's four for the touch pool, one undecided... Frieze? You alive in there?" Mouse asked. "Ah, it's just an aquarium, anyway..." she decided. What could go wrong in a place as mundane as an aquarium? Even the vicious-looking sharkes provided little threat, thanks to the thick wall of glass between them and the visitors. "Can you walk, Eva? If so, follow me." The scholar led the Edens down the hallway along with carrying Sylvest, pausing a couple of times to point out a particular sea creature she liked.

The lemur was paying attention for once as the woman pointed out each critter. He liked this place afterall, there were new things everywhere, lots of knew things. Maybe Beckie would like it too, or Tyyne. Why was he thinking about them? Weird. He pressed his ears back, trying to keep his focus. With a sudden purpose, he pointed out a rather spiny looking orangish fish, "What's that?"

Freize was very much gone, but he seemed to hear Mouse. He lifted a hand to give a slight wave before returning to his thoughts.
Eva grinned slightly- why sure he could walk! He forced his Da to carry him everywhere, but he could really walk real good! He trodded along behind Mouse, looking at all of the creatures being pointed out, expression that of awe... Wow, so many little water aminals. He popped two fingers in his mouth, gnawing at them idly as he tried to remember all of the aminal's names. His ears swivvelled at Tea's voice, and he blinked once or twice before looking to the fishie he pointed out. Whazzat? He watched it swim along curiously.
