Hunter Rose Grendel On a related note, I think that it would do us well to have a copy of Kyle's thread stored here. What with certain older threads finding themselves deleted, it would be a shame to lose all of that work.

It heavily favors western comics and animation since we have a "Big Three" but we might want to do two different systems. One for comics and one for anime/manga. We should probably just start by doing the American comics since we have more readily available information and it's easy to organize.

Battousai Oni It heavily favors western comics and animation since we have a "Big Three" but we might want to do two different systems. One for comics and one for anime/manga.

Well for now I'm still thinking about using the stickies linking to normal guild threads, so just a way of orgaizing links. We could sort by genre or "class" to use the D&D term.

That's my list so far. Keep in mind that Hellsing and Blade of the Immortal fall under Dark Horse since they own the American liscence.added some off the top of my head.

Naruto seems a little too powerful for that class. i know he's human, but I think there shuld be some kind of mid-rank Martial artist class for characters like Naruto, Ranma, some of the Love Hina crew, ect.

Jak Sacul Naruto seems a little too powerful for that class. i know he's human, but I think there shuld be some kind of mid-rank Martial artist class for characters like Naruto, Ranma, some of the Love Hina crew, ect. Ki-Enhanced Martial Artists? Physical Adepts? (If I recall correctly, that was supposedly the name for mages in Shadowrun who instead of using magic for spells, used it to increase their physical bodies. The person who was telling me about them went on to say that Bruce Lee was considered to be the first physical adept.)

Perhaps we put them into metahuman then? Even if they aren't on DBZ level, they're still pretty far above human norm.

It's not based on power, it's based on species for the most part. I thought about seperating ki users from martial artists but that would leave about two martial artists in that category. The metahuman category for martial arts is meant to be for Goku and company who are far above any Naruto character that I know of.I'm with Oni on this. While Naruto et al have powers pretty far above human norm, they come nowhere close to the other ones in the netahuman category. I say that we leave them there or possibly create an intermediate power category for them, but I don't think putting them and the DBZ characters in the same class is a good representation. So, then, are we going to en up organizing it by class or by company? I personally think that we ought to sort by company, and then within the stickey by series. The one main advantage I can see for organizing by class is when making Vs. threads, you can pick two people out of the same class if you want. But as far as reference goes, I'd think that ompany and series would be better, since people have a better idea of where to look. Beyond that, we need a basic sheet to fill out for the characters so it can be somewhat standardized. I'll write one up after checking the other guilds I'm in and toss it up here.

Conversely there's waaay to many companies for anime and manga to classify them properly. I still think that maybe it might be better to arrange the manga/anime by series rather than by character class, because then not only do we avoid having to split characters from the same series into different groups, which might happen (like, putting angels and evas in different categories), we instead sort it by series classifications, like mecha, martial arts (which'd solve the Naruto and Ranma being above human, since it's all in that category), shoujo, and what have you. Either way works, I just see this as possibly being a little better organized.
