Safi's ears went flat against his head, his eyes filled with a sort of empathy for the girl. He remembered the day he lost his family, literally, all too well. And he knew he'd stop at nothing to find them. It was why he was out here, far from his mate and pups.
"I understand...but...Get a little bigger first." He gave her a sad smile. "There are things other than demons that would love to eat you...and then you can't save your brother."
