History
Montgomery was born in the Scott household in the suburbs in northern California to the family's giant Schnauzer Missy, sired by the neighbor's short-haired Labrador retriever Jason. Born a few weeks before Christmas, Mr. and Mrs. Scott had no trouble giving his brothers and sister away, but chose to keep him to give as a gift to the oldest of their three daughters, Elizabeth. A closet Trekie working on finishing her first science fiction novel, Elizabeth took one look at his miniature whiskers and smart brown eyes and named him after her favorite crew member.
Two years after Montgomery was born, he and Elizabeth moved to Japan, one of her dreams. They live in a small house in the countryside, Montgomery being an inside-at-night dog. To further Elizabeth's fascination with Star Trek, Montgomery's ID tags are in the shape of the Starfleet insignia for crew members on the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Elizabeth Scott is a pretty young woman in her late twenties with short, straight ginger hair and green eyes. She often leaves the house open when she writes, letting Montgomery out into the backyard.
