(Unfortunately Neko is not so naive and could see what was going to happen when she started drinking XP)

Her fur began to rise on the back of her neck, her eyes flashing darkly as she explained. "He took from her what is normally kept as the physical bond that a woman only shares with the man she is married to to receive a child," she said, her claws digging into a few of the kettlecorn pieces as she plucked them from the tub. She growled and grinned when Sweeney Todd said 'and he shall have his revenge', "That judge deserves whatever dark fate awaits him."

(Well, thanks to my overprotective Mother, Lord love her, I wasn't exposed to much of that until I moved out. XD)

JoJo looked startled, and all he could say was "Oh." He blinked at returned his gaze to the screen. Such an atrocity was all but unheard of in his world, and he was glad of it. Easing away the discomfort, he listened to the barber croon to his razors, and he couldn't help but smile. Passion for inatimate objects; at least HE never was that desperate for friends. He imagined himself in the mountains making friends with rocks, and his grin widened even more. When the barber said "At last! My arm is complete again!" he closed his eyes and breathed in; so much emotion in a simple line. Despite the fellow's maniacal nature, he couldn't help but admire him a little.

(My mom was opposite, er, sort of, my brother and I kind of had to raise ourselves some of the time sweatdrop )

Her eyes slid half closed as she listened to the song, her gaze fuzzing with the dream-like quality of the song. The part of Mrs. Lovett touched her as she remembered again the treachery of freinds. Unrequitted love she thought it was called, her eyes snapping into focus and watching the movie with sharp attention as the organs whisked the song away as some dark chariot bringing it to an ominous close. Her breath fought to escape as she realized she had held it throughout the song. Uttering a soft sigh, she settled back into the chair more relaxed, the next scene springing onto the projector.

JoJo continued to watch with rapt attention, not really blaming Todd as he almost dashed at the Beadle in the marketplace, razor ready to slice. He could almost sense his anguish though the screen, and a small part of him ached in sympathy.
He soon became interested in the song singing praises to the miracle elixir, smiling at the odd couple's less than glamorous response. He made a face as Todd revealed the ingredients, wondering what sort of moron would put anything that foul-smelling on their head. Ah well, he mused, humans ARE a gullible lot.

(Youtube cut if off after this, so I only know the songs...)

She couldn't help but laugh at Pirelli's Miracle Elixer, the exchange between the boy and Mr. Todd and Mrs. Lovett making her eyes brighten a little out of the gloom they had seen out of the movie so far. Thinking on it now, she figured gloom probably suited her better than laughter, but laughter was more fun. She shrugged, coming to the same conclusion she had always come to when these thoughts tried to distract her from what she trying to do then. There's a time for both and only she could decide which one she wanted to be. So she settled deeper into the chair again and began to enjoy a little more the gloomy presence that permeated the movie.

JoJo felt a little not unpleasant thrill within him as he witnessed Todd's first kill, and it didn't escape him the way Todd held Pirelli's head and eased him back into the box; were it not for the blood spraying everywhere, he could easily fancy Todd almost tenderly laying Pirelli down so that he didn't hit his head. That was one things that really frightened him; people who did such things and, whether they did it intentionally or not, showed a bit of tenderness when they killed. Not the other kind, like the judge had done, but a genuine, soft love. Maybe it was all just his imagination, but it came to him that way regardless.
He actually snorted with laughter after Mrs Lovett discovered Pirelli's body and once Todd explained his reason for killing him, her saying, "Oh, well, that's an entirely different matter then. For a minute there I thought you'd lost your marbles." Sounds like the same harebrained logic this whole movie seemed ripe with.
As if to insinuate that very thought, the next song, regarding the rather 'unique' way of disposing of the body, caused his eyes to widen, then he smiled with genuine humor and turned to Tolfitken. "Now THERE'S a duet. Maybe we should have had meat pies instead of popcorn." XD

(I saw a clip of how this guy dies... Death by teapot!
Kind of like Riddick's Death by teacup...)

Feeling a shiver go down her spine as she watched with wide eyes the brutal death by teapot, she scrunched a little deeper into the chair, unnerved at how one could dispose of a life and then calmly treat the body as if they were coddling a baby. She let the shiver pass, remembering that even though there were people out there like that there were none that she knew of in Namiah. Sure, there were your crazy psycho angry killers, but no one had really been killed... At least not yet... She grinned and joined in with JoJo's laughter at Mrs. Lovett's statement. "That is a fine duet rofl ," she giggled, a little perturbed by the thought of cannabalism. But she had to admit the way they sang the song there was little she could do not to enjoy it. "Oh," she said, "That song will be stuck in my head for days!"

(Just as it was stuck in Neko's head for days... XD XP )

JoJo smiled a little rougishly at Tolfitken. "That makes two of us. Nearly all of these songs are that way for me." He mumbled a small snatch of it under his breath. "Put it on a bun.....well you never know if it's going to run...." His smile then vanished as he saw Johanna taken away and Antony chasing her, then....he shivered a bit, and watched the opening of the next song. He liked the song, but didn't like the scenes that came with it. He could take the slicing, although the old man made him protest inside; there was just something cowardly to him about attacking the elderly. And then the drop.....did they HAVE to land on their heads? It made such a dreadful sound when they hit; like Mankeys dropping melons out of trees......
He settled for half-closing his eyes and listening to the song itself.

Her eyes widened even more as she watched one body after another plummet to their bodily demise. She tried to look away, but it was one of those things so horrifying that one had little choice but to keep their eyes pinned to the scene. A little half-whimper escaped her throat as she thought about how unsuspecting and possibly innocent most of the men were. Her only consoling thought was that she was waiting for the judge to walk in and get his fate served to him a la mode. And with that she straightened and hardened her eyes a little, forcing them to focus on the next victim's face for an instant before determining it was not the judge and so her gaze could smoulder at the corner of the screen while her ears turned off all sound but the music.

Despite his obvious discomfort during the song, it did not escape his notice that he let one of his customers live because his wife and child were sitting there waiting. He smiled a small smile; at least the barber's thirst for blood did not lead him down the black path of murdering women and children.
He heard the half-whimper from Tolfitken and put a reassuring paw on hers, trying to assure her that the song will not be too much longer. He seemed to sense her hope that one of the victims might be the judge. He leaned over and whispered, "Remember, he said he won't be coming back, but don't worry; he gets his and then some."
He watched the next song, about the meat pies and how the old beggar woman kept trying to sneak in. He remembered wondering how she seemed to know so much, an eccentric raggedy thing like her. He knew now, of course, but he wondered if Tolfitken, seeing this for the first time, had her own thoughts on the matter. He looked at her, trying to gauge her reaction to the song praising the human pies.

Her ears twitched a little in surprise as she felt his paw on hers, nodding and grinning a little when he mentioned the judge's comuppance. Being careful not to move her paw, she shifted a little to watch the beggar woman, her eyes gleaming with suspicion. No one, yet everyone, suspected the little old beggar woman to tie into it someway. She wondered... But then, she didn't want to spoil the ending herself by trying to guess how the woman tied in, so she left it alone, only letting the thought turn itself in her mind. None-the-less, watch her she did. When the song about the meat pies began she stuck out her tongue. She could only imagine what those people would feel if they ever found out what the secret and special ingredient actually was.

JoJo saw Tolfitken's protruding tongue out of the corner of his eyes and smiled. "Kinda ironic, huh? People eating people." He watched the song's ending and began to squirm when Mrs. Lovett began to sing about her seaside fantasy. He couldn't help but be amused at how Todd sat through every scene like a bump on a log, but it just seemed odd seeing her all dressed up like a doll whose color had drained out of her skin. Besides, he thought, doesn't the feeling have to be mutual for that to work? Todd didn't seem to be having any fun, though he did let Mrs. Lovett kiss him in the wedding scene.
His squirming was short-lived as he saw young Toby begin to suspect something, and as he sand his song of loyalty to Mrs. Lovett, his movement stopped altogether, and he began to look troubled. He always had a soft spot for mothers or motherly people, and it made him feel remorseful seeing a woman who hours ago had been fantasizing about having the boy as her son, and was now planning to betray him to Todd.

"Only a little," she grinned, her look fading to puzzled at the next song. It seemed to her like Mrs. Lovett was the only one who really wanted the fantasy to come true. She froze when she saw the plan of Mrs. Lovett's giving the boy up to Todd, unconsiously baring her teeth at the thought of a parent betraying their child, even if it wasn't their real child. Wait might have been her sympathy for Mrs. Lovett's unrequited love vanished at this sinister plot and she surmised that there were more people than the judge who were going to meet with a dastardly end.

JoJo could feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand up as he saw the approaching climax; a trembling Mrs. Lovett locking poor Toby in the Hellhole of a bakehouse, leading Todd to it only to be stopped by Beadle. Poor, unsuspecting Toby discovering the truth about the pies, and then taking refuge in the sewer while Todd and Mrs. Lovett searched for him, their plaintive and threatening calls echoing eerily through the pipes.
He couldn't help but wince as the old beggar woman met with her undeserved fate. He couldn't help staring at it; the way the blood ran from her gashed throat like a fountain; not even spurting, as though she had had no pulse.
Then as he dropped her neatly through the trapdoor, the entrance door burst open, and in walked.......the judge. JoJo smiled and nudged Tolfitken. "Told you. Here it comes."

She watched the scenes sitting rigidly at the edge of her seat, falling into the foolish pattern of just-because-you-hope-nothing-bad-happens-to-the-undeserving-person-nothing-will. Toby seemed to have escaped for the moment, which made the pattern seem like it would work. But then her eyes grew soft and sad as she watched the beggar woman fall, imagining how cruel an irony it would be if her suspicion about the woman were proved true. When the jugde stepped onto the scene she couldn't help the wide and somewhat malicious grin that spread across her face, not even sure if she would want to stop it from appearing if she could. "At least one person will get what's rightly coming to them," she said, her eyes practically glowing with anticipation as she waited for the scene to unfold.
