Floki heard enough. He liked situation less and less. He thought he heard someone coming but the sound was so silent he couldn't be sure. If only he could hear what plants spoke like Nightshade.
'' I have no objections. ''
This was one place he would come back only if really necessary. He hoped it would be never. He heard the sound again and this time he was sure.
'' It seems we are not alone. ''
As soon as he said that two new stars joined them.

She moved so elegantly that her steps were so softly she made no sound. It was sound of voices that brought her here and the first star she saw was Moloch. Usually she would turn away and disappear in opposite direction. When she fell she was sad and bitter and as time flew her feelings grew to hate for she blamed other stars for loss of they're old home. But something attracted her to Moloch. There was something bad in him and the way he spoke to the other two stars pleased her. So she decided to approach them.
'' May I know the name of this beautiful black stallion standing in front of me. ''
'' I greet you starngers. My name is Vidar and this is my sister Avantasia. ''

“ I shall bare that in time for the next time I visit, but for now we must leave, lest our absence cause concern. May we meet again, swiftly if time allows.” Dipping his head, Nightshade took his leave.
“ Come Floki, let us return to our family. I shall fly slow, for I find myself in need of time to think, so you needn’t linger for me.”

Moloch nodded absently as Nightshade left, distracted by the two new arcturai. How had they managed to sneak up on him so easily? He really was letting his guard down. And all of these intruders! Four in one night. "My name is Moloch," he growled, slicking his ears back. There were two of them, but all he had to do was call Nightshade back, now that they had their new agreement... still, Nightshade was leaving, and it might be useful to see what these two stars had to say.

Floki saw this distraction as a good time to leave. He looked at two new stars and found himself staring at the beautiful mare. He turned quickly and went home.
'' That is quite interesting name. It suits you well. ''
Avantasia bowed her head as fine raised lady.
'' My lord. My brother and I have been traveling for so long and we are tired I would like to ask kindly of you permission to rest in you're land for awhile. It is quite beautiful here. ''
She gave Moloch her most innocent smile.
Vidar stood still beside her with serious look on his face revealing no hint of what was going through his mind.

Moloch flicked back an ear; he was in no state to fight off two arcturai. But what was his alternative? To let them remain here, to linger in his lands? No, no that would never do. But how would they react if he turned them down? And there were two of them... perhaps a deal could be reached, like the one he had reached with Nightshade. And the female was not displeasing to his eye...
"If I were to allow to remain," he asked, "what would I get in return?"

Ah the sweet simple way that males think was was Avantasia loved the most about them. But she knew she had to be careful how she plays her cards now.
'' We come from an old noble family and since these are you're lands we shall step in you're service as long as we remain here. My brother is a well skilled fighter he could help you to protect what belongs to you. And as for me I would be honored to keep you company when ever you feel lonely. ''
Her voice was sweet and gentle and it always made her look so innocent and naive a perfect mask she always used proudly.
Vidar knew the game his sister was playing was dangerous but he had no intention to stop her. Ever since the fall his sister changed. She lost so much and grieved for too long it hurt him to see her sad so he decided to let her do what ever she wanted as long as it made her happy.

"'Keep me company?'" Moloch sneered. "My lady, why don't you come out and say what you mean?" He tilted his head slightly and looked Avantasia up and down. She appeared to be healthy enough, and would probably bear him healthy foals... who would follow him, of course. He could start a herd. A herd of stars, all following in his footsteps, following him! Her brother might pose a problem... but Moloch was confident in his ability to manipulate other stars. Perhaps he would grant this female a high rank within the herd within the herd, to keep her happy. Second only to him, of course. But first, it was best to be sure of her intentions. "And what, exactly, do you mean? What kind of 'company' are you so keen on granting?" he asked in a low voice.

Avantasia passed over Moloch's words there was nothing that other stars could do or say to offend her. Acting naive and surprised she innocently replied.
'' My words have no hidden meanings. I was speaking of pleasant talks. I offer you no more no less. I do not travel alone but I am lonely and long to speak to other stars beside my brother. ''
Vidar had enough. He was not going to let somebody like Moloch play with them. Who did he think he was?! There was no proof Moloch was from any noble family. To Vidar he was a common star that found new lands without an owner and claimed it to himself.
'' I apologize for the intrusion we shall bother you no more. Come Avantasia we better be on our way. ''
He turned away to leave.
But Avantasia didn't share the same opinion as her brother. She saw other stars having new families in these new lands. They were happy like she was once. She wanted to feel like that again and Moloch was the only star she had meet till now that could be worthy of being the father of her foals.
'' Please lord Moloch forgive my brother he is only tired. We shall be in the near plain we passed on our way here. I shall come back tonight to hear you're decision. ''
Vidar stopped to see why his sister wasn't by him. ''Avantasia!''
She bowed her head and hurried to catch up with Vidar.

The longer she lingered, hidden by the branches in smooth water and brushed gently over her scales, the more revolted with the scene she was becoming.
the intent her tongue flicked out and she picked up the scent of another two Star... even more unpleasant, one of them was -female-
her curiosity letting her linger for a while longer to get a feel for these two new Star, before her eyes finally rolled around, disgusted with where this was going. and finding it time to interject herself before she had to listen to much more.
Kalida slithered from the branches, and out into the open water, where the others would clearly have the opportunity to see the Elder, muscles rippling from under her shoulders, scales sliding smoothly in a rhythmic motion as she moved her body. head bobbing smoothly back... then forth. back... then forth,
"You must be some hot shot for them to be addressing you as lord already, young one" her voice was sharp, low, and despite the quiet tone she held, her voice carried with little difficulty.
"though if it reliable advice you would prefer receiving. be careful who's company you sully yourself with."
your judgment eyes flicker over the other Star, before falling onto the one they address as "lord" Moloch. studying him closely

Moloch watched Avantasia and her brother leave with a strange feeling in his gut. The way she had stood up to him, the things she had said... perversely, he found himself wanting her all the more, but he knew now to be wary. He would have to take his time, court her... be patient, much as it irked him. But she would be quite the prize, a worthy queen. Oh yes, he would have an answer when they returned. But how to phrase it? Distracted by his thoughts, he was taken completely off guard by the elder star.
He turned to try and stare her down, but changed his mind as soon as he saw her; after all, of all the stars he had met today, this was one to truly be reckoned with. He inclined his head slightly, mind racing. What to say, what to say? And she had it spot on, about his youth; what if the others picked up on it, saw this moment of weakness? He raised his head once more, determined not to show the way he felt. "I may be young," he said in a strong, steady voice, "but that doesn't mean I'm weak. Or a fool, for that matter; I thank you for your advice, elder. I shall bear it in mind for future days, should I ever meet a star unworthy of my presence." There, that last sentence should make it clear that he didn't think Avantasia and Vidar sullied his presence. The brother, perhaps, was too insolent for his taste, but it was in his best interest to have them both on his side.

Her eyes narrowed softly with his words, perhaps she had laid to positive a judgment on him to soon.
"Young brings power, weak is certainly not a word to describe you, that much I've been able to observe. It is however, your youth, that can trick you quite easily, And the great leader, fall victim to the fools game of a young female's eyes"
she responder, catching a glance to where the other two had walked off, pushing herself up onto the shore. and climbing out, the water easily running off her body.
her gaze did not leave his as she approached the male. keeping a safe distance, but circling him, looking him over. when finally, with a lash of her long forked tongue, she stopped, in front of him again with her chin inclining upward.
"You have potential," she said almost to herself. "but not yet the eyes, or the wisdom to recognize that of unworthiness, or even dangerous to your very being."
this lead to a wicked smirk, two long pointed fangs sliding out from there shafts in her gums, framing a mouthful of needle point teeth.
"perhapsss, my assistance can be lent in that manor"
was her offer.
This Star had potential, -amazing- potential, she could practically taste the darkness in his heart, and the bitterness in his blood.
It was delicious.
She had not tasted cruelty like that... since... ever.
but guidance, and experience, would be essential to make him practically invincible to the eyes of those who would appose him.
This might be interesting after all.

Moloch shivered as the other star circled him. Again, there was a great deal of wisdom in what she said. Who was he, after all, to let a female lead him about by the nose? He narrowed his eyes slightly, watching the elder as she exposed her fangs. Only a fool would turn her down, he realized, and she would be a powerful ally to have on his side. And her advice... well, he didn't always have to listen, did he? And with teeth like that, those horns, surely she enjoyed the same small - and not so small - cruelties as him? And more importantly, with her to guide him, to could expand his range beyond this pitiful forest. They could build an army, together, one to serve him -
Lost in visions of conquest, he smiled evily. "Yesss," he said, "yes, I can see how your advice would come in handy."
He would fight her over the mare, however. Properly manipulated and bent to his will, she would bear him many fine heirs. And this new female, this wide elder, she would help him do it, help him ensnare the other female, letting her think she had some power at first, before finally closing the trap! She would be his, all his! He shivered once more. Oh, it was glorious. So much power, and it would all be his!
"I accept," he said, meeting her smirk with an insolent smile.

Kalida lower her face back down, keeping her response to an pleased Hiss that flowed sharply from her throat.
"Kalida Kaushai" she introduced herself, giving the young leader, a curious, but instinctively cautious incline of the head in respect.
"and I have already gathered you to be Moloch. I accept you as my new lord,"
Elated with the cruelty she saw in his eyes, and his smirk. she lifted her head high again, excitement coercing though her body. no more bored stalking, and silent killings, there would be a statement now, a REAL fear!
"Others will need to be searched out, firstly"

Moloch could barely contain his joy and elation. She had bowed down to him! Truly accepted him! Until now, all of the others... well. They would bow to him in time. "Agreed," he said. "I have already settled on an alliance with two stars I found wandering in my territory; I let them live, they serve me and alert me of any danger." He smiled, thinking over his agreement with Floki and Nightshade once more. Truly masterwork. "One of them can fly, I believe they will be useful. What are your thoughts on Avantasia and Vidar? Vidar..." he grimaced, making his distaste evident. "He thinks too highly of himself, but that can be corrected for. And Avantasia... well. I shall leave the final decision to you, since I will not be blinded, but she might be useful. And there will always be time to break them to my cause if they can not be seduced to follow me willingly." He smiled at this last, looking forward to it already. Breaking Vidar, at least; he would rather have Avantasia follow him willingly. She would be a better mother to his young that way.
