I'm really only surprised by Forte's performance. Orton played how the Bears wanted him to. He did this in his rookie season as well. Then the defense played exactly how the Bears defense plays when they are not hampered with injuries.
Forte was great in college, and I always thought that he would fit the Chicago Bears' offense well. Orton is a decent, solid QB, who only seems good because he's replacing the horrible Grossman. Yet the defensive performance was the biggest surprise to me. Although the Colts' offensive line was injured, the Bears commanded the pressure against Peyton Manning. They were also able to shut down Addai.
And to add on to their very good defensive unit, the Bears should be getting a lot out of Devin Hester on special teams too. It's only a matter of short time before he changes games with his return skills.
