I like to mix it up a bit, both work just fine for me.
If I alternate between tampon and pad, I'm less likely to repeat the "holy crap, how do I already have two in there" incident...and working on number 3 when I made the discovery. I can be a little...preoccupied...some days.
Oh, and if you dip a tampon in booze prior to insertion, supposedly you can get a buzz on. Never tried it myself. I'd rather not have alcohol burn down there. We discuss some odd stuff at work...

Kals is questing again!O.O I'd be more worried about inviting a yeast infection with that one, Thal... Especially if you choose the wrong kind of booze. The amount from a quick tampon dip wouldn't be as likely to cause alcohol poisoning as a wine enema though, sop it's probably a bit safer than that... yes I have weird friends who talk about wine enemas. PM for details!

I'm pretty sure the alcohol would kill of the yeast...like I said, I don't intend to try it. I like to taste my booze.
Aw gawd...my imagination just went to a very bad place...Very Bad Place. Tampons, booze, flavor...and someone's earlier post about vampires. I have the most randomly corrupt fantasies. I'm gonna go now...

Alcohol... on the tampon... >.o Not okay.
I prefer pads personally. I can wear tampons for about the first two days of my period (it lasts about five days usually) but then its extremely painful for me to use a tampon after that. So I keep them in my purse for emergencies because they're small to carry, but I don't use them. Pads are big, but I have a heavy flow and they're just more convenient for me. I dunno.
Always. Always use Always. For tampons I use Tampax. :3
This was an odd thread to stumble across when my period just started. XD

Yes, you would get a buzz, but not nearly as much of one as you would get from taking a sponge, dampening it with some alcohol, and then sticking in your a** for a while. The reason you do is because it absorb right through the walls of your a**s/v****a, and go straight to your blood stream, thus not being filtered mostly by your liver right away as it does when you drink it. Plus, the buzz will hit you MUCH harder and faster.

*Shifts uncomfortably* xd
From a guy's perspective...I would imagine both would be uncomfortable. Although...I've been told most girls don't really notice tampons when they're in. Then again, periods in general sound uncomfortable. gonk
Pan: I'd rather drink my booze.

It's called "Booty Rolling" You take a pill, stick it in your a** (Tie a string on it of course) for about 5-10 minutes, if even that, and then pull it out. You'll trip harder than you ever have before from just eating a single pill, or snorting it...

I prefer pads. I like the ultra thin with wings pads. I find tampons hard to get in and are uncomfortable.

Hmmm... interesting stuff there, Pancake ^.^; And as for the vampires... wouldn't work as a popsicle. The tea bag idea would probably work better...
Anywho, back on the main topic... Now I'm gonna have to think about this stuff more... Ech. I'd probably stick with pads at first, though I'd try tampons, especially if it was Rugby season or something... 'Cause a pad and running around and tackling people? 'Dunno how that'd work out...

I usually wear pads to bed, and tampons most other times. Especially at school. Because it's much easier to carry tampons around than pads.
As for brands, Always and Tampax.

Erius wakusei I wonder if this thread title is stereotypically making any guys shift uncomfortably as they read it.
gonk Yes... Also, tampons...I wonder if vampires use them like popsicles... Probably not, vampires don't exist, after all... gonk *has mental image of Lestat sucking on a used tampon*
I use pads. Tampons are uncomfortable, and for some odd reason I can feel them MOVE when I cough, which always makes me nervous.
So pads, kthx.

Pads. ONLY. Because I am extremely SMALL... well, DOWN THERE. Everywhere else I am NOT small. I am fat. But my girly parts I am tiny and they don't MAKE tampons that are pencil thin. And yes, I HAVE thought about the implications for my "first time" and am "stretching" as per my OBGYN's orders but I am still not good with tampons.
OUCH.
And DANG this is a very VERY personal post on a very public internet. redface

I personally prefer pads, I tried tampons for a while and it just felt... uncomfy. It hurt every time I coughed or sneezed or anything like that. My friend said I probably didn't have it in deep enough to which I answered "how deep does it want to go? All the way into my ******** uterus?" Needless to say I haven't tried them again... might give it another go later but not yet, I'd rather not repeat that uncomfy feeling again.

Pads, extra thin and with wings. Tampons just feel funny.
Well that's what I would say if I were a girl anyways.
