=w= Funny, I just got an e-mail yesterday saying that they want me to come in TODAY for the audio interview.
Last minute, much? D; Gosh.
Oh well, the quicker we get this over with, the sooner the article will come out and the faster this will get done. I hope they can send me the all the photos through my e-mail. I'll have to talk about them tomorrow.

-C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...-
Well, it was about a 20-minute interview, and we were in like, the sound-proof room and everything. And I was in an even smaller box with the mic and stuff there and I had to talk through that. xDDD;
It was alright, but as I started getting through it, my mouth kept getting dry and stuff, and it was so difficult to talk after that. xD;
But they didn't ask anything other than most basics, like:
-Name, age, where you're from, -How long I've been in lolita -How I found out about lolita -How do I afford it -What attracted you to it -What styles do you like, how is it identified -How have you changed since you wore lolita -How you feel when you're in lolita --> Do you feel it's some sort of escapism? -How do your family react to it, how does your friends -How do the students in your school react to it -How do strangers react to it -What is the best thing about Lolita, what is the worse thing -Questions basically pertaining to how Lolita =/=Nabokov's Lolita, and how do the community react towards it -Lifestyle questions, like, what is the "lolita lifestyle", and how do I personally define my lolita lifestyle.
Etc, etc, like that.

Honestly, I had wished that the world would become more elegant. That we could dress up in a modern Victorian (lolitaness, all types too) everyday with tea parties more often... and less short jean skirts and muffin tops... e_e; The world would never work like that again though. If Lolita were to become a little mainstream, I wouldn't mind as long as it was exposed properly.

Steampunk too..::drools:: AmanikittyOhh okay I see, sounds interesting :] Just checking but I suppose this will all be online, or will it also be in the newspaper..like to purchase and hold in your hands? XD Obviously not the audio interviews but the photos and interviews asked after having your photo taken

Yeah, it'll be in the Sunday newspaper as well as online.
We had told them about NYAF and the lolita events there, so they're gonna try to have it published by that Sunday.

I would love to see lolita fashion becoming more popular and accessible smile Think of how great it would be to walk into a physical store, see lots of loli clothes to choose from and pick one that is actually your size? It would be great biggrin
I think as the popularity increases and more shops sell loli clothes the prices will become more affordable, giving you more loli for your buck! That can't be a bad thing smile Then you'd be able to wear lolita clothes more often smile

Everyone pretty much summed it up. xD
I think it wouldn't become mainstream. Regardless, I wouldn't mind if it did because then I wouldn't have to purchase everything online/make it myself. The more popular the more outfits! I like the idea of that. >w<

I don't really want lolita to go mainstream. I mean, it would be good because it would most likely become easier to find, and possibly less expensive, but I think there are more downsides. For one, you know people would start doing things like perverting it and not following the rules at all. For example, I'm sure most of us have seen "lil mama" attempting to wear that Angelic Pretty dress. Chances are, if she would have actually told people that it was lolita, people might think that it is okay for lolitas to wear a JSK with their bra hanging out and cheap sneakers. I mean, it's okay if people want to add a little of their own twist to lolita if it's something small, but if it got that extreme I think it would be just awful. I also agree that it would be less fun. I kinda have a reputation around my school for being weird and dressing weird and different, and I love it! It's so much fun to be so different, and I would hate it if a bunch of other girls started dressing in lolita. (Although it would be a little fun to have a few lolita friends and teach them about it.)

I think Lolita had its mild run when Gwen 'Steponme' tried to put the "OMG kawaii" look into mainstream.

Personally I wouldn't really care.
That makes things more available for me and besides even after the fad fades away, those that do stay lolita are lolita.
