practice everyday except sunday's:
monday:3:15-5:30
tuesday:3:15-5:30
wensday:6:00-8:30
thursday:6:00-8:30
friday:5:00-10:00(plus football games)
saturday: 10:00-12:00 in the mornin (compotitions on saturdays)^^ heart

Sunday: Glorious nothing.
Monday: 6-9
Tuesday: 6-9
Wednesday: Usually nothing.
Thursday: 6-9
Friday: 3-5, 6-10
Saturday: 9-5+.
We compete each Saturday, so it starts between 7 and 9 AM and lasts until between 5PM-3AM.
Yes, we did actually have a competition where we arrived to rehearse at 7:30AM and returned at 3 the next morning. It sucked.

Marching Band is another class for us...It's a 7 AM class. We also practice after school almost every other day...

Well, it sort of depends. In high school we would practice M-F 8:00-8:50am for class and Monday and Tuesday from 6:30-9:00pm. Plus we'd have a morning rehearsal on Saturday's before competitions.
In college it was a bit different. Class was MWF. Guard and Drumline had class from 11:10-12:20 then the rest of the band would join us for 12:40-2:40. We'd also practice from about 8:00am-noon Saturday's and perform from 5:30 to about 10pm (11pm or so if the game was televised).

We usually practice Monday-Thursday, and that's early morning. We have 45 minutes every weekday. Now all we do is basically just run-throughs of the show, and some cleaning. Mostly we're working on our music now, it's kinda tough. But we don't have early morning on Monday!!! And state is Saturday!! Yay!! And I'm in a high school band. Just so you know. I think we're practicing more so we can mantain our image, which I'm really hoping we do. We did just come back from the National Independence Day parade, so we better do a good job!!

2 hours a day (EVERY day) for morning practice (before school and during class) and 3 hour evening practices on Thursdays. My band class is first hour..so we just start early. ...Are there people who don't have marching band as part of their class? o.o;;
13 hours in all a week..not including football games...which are about 3+ hours, I'd guess.

Band practice is MWF 4pm-6pm. Percussion, Guard, and Dance lines have other rehearsal times, but as I'm not part of any of those groups, I don't know their schedule.

We practice in the morning Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:15 to 8:45, as well as 8:55-9:00 on Wednesday (music rehearsal only) and 6:30-9:00 on Tuesday nights.

wow... I didn't know there were bands that practiced only one day a week. I can understand the Katrina thing though. Best wishes for you guys.
We have monday, wednesday and thursday practices. We practice from 5-30 to 8-30, but we never leave till 9 cause we have to pack up have our meetings and talk to the band director if needed. Saturdays we have a morning game, then a night competition. So, we spend from about 8 am to midnight with band, with maybe a 3 or 4 hour break between the game and leaving for the comp. I calculated that we spend 26 hours plus on band a week. And sometimes after a football game, we'll have an hour to an hour and a half practice.

Lessee... We practice during class four days a week. On monday we go over competition tapes and watch our performance during class. Then on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons we have practice for two hours. In addition to that we'll usually have about an hour of extra sectionals after practice. So... That's a total of around 10 hours or so, not including the football games and such.
