"Oh of course it matters to me," the drow said easily leaping down to land directly in front of him. "You see, my dear, we've stumbled into a vipers pit and it's so difficult to tell friend from foe here. No matter what, someone's always going to be sizing you up," she slowly ran a hoof down his chest, testing the strength of his armor for herself. "And in this world the strong survive and the weak...well, I'll leave that to your imagination."

Arach's optics narrowed. "You act like you are maximal, but your verbalizations are predicon." He leaned forward into her touch almost involuntarily. "You risk yourself by being this close to me. I am capable of defending myself."

Malstra smiled. She was counting on that. "Really?" she purred. "And how's that? With this armor that you wear? Seems very hard...steel like. But usually a good defense means you're giving up something..."

"I do not wear armor. That is my epidermis. It is the same as your epidermis." Arach blinked and felt something strange happen to his receptors. Her touch made his regulators jump unreasonably. "There is nothing abnormal about my skeleton."

"Oh..." she smiled shyly. "SO this is all you. Well, isn't that interesting. I must admit, I'm quite a fan of that marking on your flank," she said slipping around him to trace the red hour glass. "Spiders are sacred to us. The black widow especially has my regard. She's beautiful, delicate..."

Arach watch her trace the marking. "I received it from my mother. We both share traits of the black widow."

Arach stepped closer to her, lowering his output volume. "I want my spark to be worth something. I want to find something that makes my spark worth while."

Arach felt her coat mold around his hoof. "I want to find another spark that matches mine. I want to mean something to my parents. To make my mother proud. How can you do that?"
