“Or they’ll only be one male,” she chuckled lightly, “I can’ wait for the good to start rolling in- I could use a change. Seems you can too!” she laughed happily, actually using the tone as more than just a mask for how bitter she was underneath. It felt good, really, to be able to laugh and not feel like it was a lie. Hopefully it was a sign of good things to come.
“I don’t know,” she replied honestly, aware that it was just as likely that she would end up with an a** load of kids and Mkia would never be over her fear of being alone. Maybe that was just their lives they were fated to have.
But she wasn’t going to dwell on it. She had already promised herself to look ahead and not back.
“That sounds fantastic,” Sinasina chimed, moving to leave with her new friend, “Let’s get moving.” She led the way even though it had been Mkia’s idea, just because she knew where a good stock of animals tended to come together in the area. It would be the perfect place to hunt.
In the back of her mind, she still wondered if things would work out, but she was so content she didn’t mind the thought as much.
