The man's embarrassment in not introducing himself properly or asking their names made Rioge giggle slightly, it seemed an odd thing to get upset about, and before his father could stop him he piped up. "I'm Rioge! And this is my father Araran." He snickered before adding, "He's a bit grumpy at the moment." Before his father could rebuke him he skipped inside. The scent of the tearoom was truely delightful and Rioge sniffed deeply. The place was almost empty, only two other people were there - a couple nestled comfortably in armchairs. Smiling Rioge moved over to a table around which were four armchairs and sat in one his legs swinging, unable to touch the floor.
Tutting his disapproval of his child's little comment Araran turned to the man. "Sorry about Rioge. He seems quite excited by the prospect of holding your egg. I will ensure that he will be very careful." He entered the tearoom and found his son in the armchair, and proceeded to sitting the one next to Rioge. "Remember, this is another courts egg. So be very careful." He whispered as a reminder to Rioge - who knew from his father constant lectures about how careful he must be around the other court. It seemed to him that he could have no fun - some people in his own court disliked him already and the other court hadn't even seen him and he had to be careful!

"It is a pleasure to meet you both then, shall we?"
Houkan's comments were rather wasted as the little boy had already made his way inside and the young man could only chuckle as he followed the tutting man. children were always so full of energy, so bright and cheerful, and Houkan hoped the little child in his arms would come out of her egg with a manner similar. He did not know what he would do if they got another Dusk, or even worse, a Lune . . .
"Since we are sitting, would you like to hold her now? I do not think she is that heavy, probably around the weight of an orange, so she should not be too hard to handle."
Houkan took a seat on the other side of Rioge and gently extended Pasayo's egg, taking a note that the pink clouds about her base were swirling slightly and her wings were fluttering in an unusual way.

At the offer Rioge squeaked happily and held out his hands, wiggling his fingers eager to hold the egg. He took it carefully and placed it in his lap. It was light, considering the fairly large size and Rioge assumed that it must be some sort of magic within the clouds that swirled about it's base that made it lighter. The shell was warm under his fingers and Rioge found it entrancing to watch the swirling mist of the clouds*. "Wow, thank you Houkan." he cooed, breaking his gaze from the egg to look at the man with adoration. This was the best thing a mortal had done for him, and it beat the previous best thing by miles! (which was the kind ice cream man in the park giving him extra blueberry topping)
Araran was also fairly entranced by the egg and watched it in Rioge's hands. "Wonderful." He paused and turned to the man, his expression serious. It was time to inquire into how much the man actually knew. "So, from which wind did this egg blow to you?" He inquired casually taking a sheet of the drinks available and scanning it as if he were a mortal simply engaged in a regular conversation and not one involving faerie courts and the ashes of the deceased.

The young man smiled brightly at the child's enthusiasm in something as simple as holding an egg, though the exact meaning of what Houkan had just allowed was beyond his grasp - for now.
The egg in turn seemed to respond to this sudden affection by thrumming gently, her cloud swirling.
"My brother said she came from the Northwest. He was walking home from his classes when he said something or another called him into the woods where the egg literally fell from the sky and into his arms. I do not know much else about her, as I am usually only asked to take care of the child when my brother is unable to do so."
Houkan was looking at a menu for a moment, running his eyes over the list of teas. They did have his favorite here, a rather nice cinnamon and chocolate combination, so he figured a cup or two of that would not hurt his appetite before he went home to make dinner.
"Even my older cousin, who seems to know much about odd things thanks to her job and travels has no idea what this egg could turn out to be. I just hope that whatever comes from this is happy and healthy and not like Lune. I do not think I could handle another Lune. But about the wind...why do you ask?"

Nodding to himself Araran relaxed slightly. The honesty and baffled nature of the man's reply gave him reason enough to believe that the man didn't know an amazing amount about the fae. "Well, the egg Rioge is holding is a... faerie egg." He replied in a hished voice, so that any nearby mortals did not accidentally overhear. "Under normal circumstances I would not be allowed to tell you this. But as a parent of the egg I suppose it is fine to tell you." He smiled briefly before gesturing towards a waitress that he would like to order.
The girl, fairly young with bouncy brown hair glided over and smiled sweetly at them. "Hello, may I take your order?" She asked, pulling out a little notebook and a pen. Araran returned her smile. "I'll have the Jasmine pearls green tea?" It was under the 'scented tea' section and although he had no previous knowledge of the different variety of teas from the title and description it sounded quite delicious.
The waitress then turned to Rioge and gave a little giggle. "And you young man?" Rioge paused, stroaking the egg which the waitress seemed to be turning a blind egg upon. "Have I just have a cup of water?" He seemed quite embarrassed as he spoke, the list of different teas was quite intimidating to him and he wasn't sure which type he would like.. Within the faerie court they did not brew much tea that that which they did was high perfumed with flowers and barks that did not suit his current taste buds at all.
[ Sorry if I've made the teashop seem too posh, with it's large variety of teas and a waitress.. D: I just kinda imagined it like that.. >.> ]

"I will have a Choca min Cin please, and two scones. Butterscotch if you carry them, with devon shire cream."
Houkan answered without hesitation when it came to his order, and the waitress smiled before writing it down and walking off to the back to fetch things. The young man was experienced when it came to tea, since he and his elder brother were avid drinkers while he was at home, and even though he mostly stuck to the childish flavors one could sort of consider him a connoisseur.
"So...a faerie egg? Like the beings from myth, that kind of fae?"
This was new, but not entirely unexpected. Sure the wings and cloud had told him it was nothing human, but for it to be a fae? Perhaps this was more fate than luck.

Araran nodded slowly, "Yes indeed. But we are not myth, but real, living, breathing beings." He considered telling him more, evidently he had not been informed of what the egg would grow into. But it was not his responsibilty nor his place to explain; In fact, the seelie court might not wish this carer to know what resided in their egg. "I'm afraid I should probably not tell you more. The way I seemed earlier, stand-offish, rude? There is a tension between the fae. Split in two one could say." He paused, wondering if he should explain.. But he assumed that the man would find out soon enough anyway, all it took was a quick search in a libray or a click on what mortal's called 'google'. The human's information on faeries, although old and unbelived, was fairly accurate.
"Two courts of faeries exist. The dark court, or court of the night, all names for my court; the Unseelie court. And the light court of illusions, the Seelie court is the alignment of that egg you possess*." He guestured towards the egg cradled in Rioge's arms. "Rioge and I must be careful around the egg so as not to cause an uproar."
The waitress returned with all their drinks and Araran nodded curtly towards her before taking the aromatic drink and sipping carefully, waiting for the man's reply.
[ *If you have a problem with revealing the alignment of your egg ICly just say and I'll edit my post.. ^^ ]

"An uproar? Courts? Please forgive me if I sound ignorant, but would something as simple as a child holding an egg honestly cause that much strife? If such is the case then perhaps there is something wrong with the way your world is being run."
Houkan knit his brow together as he placed a finger to his lips in thought, look of confusion on his fine features. This was all a bit much to be taking in at once, even if he was fine with such situations as warranted by his life style, and he tried to make sense of what he could without perhaps saying anything to bring any anger directed towards him. The youth opted for peace at all times, after all.
"As for me, as a human and as the current caregiver for Ms. Pasayo, would the matters of how she should be treated fall to me or my Elder Brother? Sure the courts may war should something happen, but would it not be the responsibility of myself or my Elder brother to take the blame for any treatment she receives?"
[ I do not mind at all. Houkan has no idea as to what this all means so I'm not offended =3 ]

Although the man asked more questions Araran did not reply, it was not his place to explain, neither did he have time to go into the details of the courts - Rioge's eyes were even now drooping with tiredness - and so his sketchy outline of the circumstances surrounding the Ashe would be all that was necessary on his behalf. He sipped at his tea, before putting the man's worry of responsibility at ease. "It depends entirely on the situation. But do not worry about it. I'm sure you and your brother can do a fine job of looking after the egg until it hatches."
Draining his cup he looked to Rioge who also appeared to be finishing his drink. "I regret to say that we must leave, but if Rioge keeps from sleep for much longer I fear that he would slumber where he sits now." A tender smile formed as he noticed Rioge perk himself up upon hearing his fathers words, a last attempt at avoiding their return home.
"Perhaps we shall meet again someday. Perhaps after your egg has hatched. It would be interesting to see what emerges from this mysterious egg.." He stood up, brushing himself down before moving towards Rioge and taking the egg from him. Holding it towards Houkan in both hands he felt the memories of Rioge's life as an egg come to the forefront of his mind - both the good and the bad.
"As a last parting warning.. Not all faeries are as excepting of mortals as myself. Some of my court see the human's disregard for the planet as a crime that needs punishing. It would be a shame to hear of anything unreasonable happening to you."

Houkan took the egg into his hands and rose to his own feet as the man and child started to leave, their drinks completed and the conversation over. As brief as it had been the youth did enjoy hearing what he had been told, and he nodded towards Araran's words.
"I will think on what you said, and am grateful for this chance to talk to someone who knows what this egg really is. It would be an honor to meet you again should it come to pass."
He was not sure if they would ever meet again, this world being so large and Houkan and this pair before him being so little inside it, but as the egg in his arms thrummed he knew it was going to be a very high possibility.
"Until we meet again."
