The Veni guild seems to be a place for chatter that's of a lighter nature, but a recent thread of a more serious nature gave me an idea. If it doesn't clash too much with the vibe of the guild, what if there was a section to the guild, like a sub-forum, dedicated to more serious discussions on certain topics?
Now, I realize we have a reviews and discussion sub-forum, but it's dominated pretty much completely by talk on games and movies or whatnot. I also don't mean for such a new subforum to be a DEBATE forum. I think debates can be terribly rigid a lot of the time, but a little corner to discuss more serious topics would be nice I think.
Just an idea. ^_^;

Hey, bro you've actually got a pretty good point there. I hadn't really noticed to much before but we do seem to just "chatter" so to speak not really talk to seriously about something. That might be idea, in fact it might be that since we don't have this no one has.

I don't mind fun chatter every now and then, but because the main forum is dominated by it, that's why I've never bothered to really post something much more serious. I figured with a whole section dedicated to serious topics of all kinds, people can feel free to post anything in the appropriate places, whether just fun chatter or more serious discussions. *nods*

I've noticed sub-forums in guilds tend to get overlooked a lot. I don't know why that is really. I don't really think we can do anything to get people to look at those sub-forums though.

I think that would be a great idea if we had more active members. With the way things are right now, we have enough unused subforums. I don't think there's enough activity to warrant separating certain threads from the rest. Thanks, tho. Keep thinking. whee
