Chalce let out a deep breath, "I'm sorry for upsetting you..." He pulled her even closer, trying to comfort her. "Yeah, you do a little.. but it's alright. I just want you to be happy. You do deserve it after all!"

She looked up at him, question in her eyes, "Why do you care for me so much?", she asked him and closed her eyes.

Chalce felt a little offended by the question. He pulled back, letting loose of her as he sighed. His head drooped to the ground, his ears flicking off in different directions, "Do I have to have a reason to care? I don't like seeing you upset. We're kids! We should be out playing, and having fun... not worrying about all this adult stuff. Leave it to adults to ruin a perfectly good day.." He kicked a pebble with his paw and watched it skip across the grass. "I just think that more dragons should smile... especially you."

As he said to smile, she did smile and even broke out laughing. "You know we'll be adults someday....And Ceres you and I.... Well We could be seperated... I don't want to be seperated from both of you... escpecially you!", she smiled. But then she frowned. " I've said something wrong haven't I?", and then she realized that she sounded just like Chalce and giggled. " I just sounded like you didn't I?".

He let out a sigh even though she was laughing, shaking his head back and forth. "We... we won't be separated." They wouldn't, would they? No.. no, he couldn't even think that as a possibility. "If we want it badly enough we'll find a way to each other, no matter what." His lips curled into a smile. "Well, there's nothing wrong with having more of me, if I do say." He chuckled and walked over to her, nudging her slightly with his nose.

"Ack!" Chalce tried his best to make the situation seem bigger than it was. He wanted Tropica to have fun and to stop worrying so much. "Oh no, I've been killed!" He grinned as the roll landed with her on top, his head limp to the side with his tongue stuck out.

Tropica licked him, teasingly. "Normal....? Oh no. That's a bad bad deed! , she said, her eyes glimmering.

At the lick, Chalce felt his cheeks warm, but just like his father he didn't exactly know what that was about. Something made him feel weird and fuzzy inside and it was a strange feeling, he wasn't sure if he liked it or not. Still, he smirked and playfully batted at Tropica's ears until he flipped over, landing on top for a change. "So now what?" He asked, looking directly into her eyes from above.

Tropica looked into his eyes, becoming nervous, and looking away, blushing. " Uhhhhhh.... Lets walk and see if we can find them....", she said.

Chalce tilted his head to one side when she looked away. He wasn't entirely sure why she suddenly seemed so skittish, but at her words he rolled off, letting her have her room. "Um.. okay." He slowly reached his feet, brushing off some dust that was clumped in his fur. "So what way do you want to go?"

Tropica giggled as his face looked dumbfounded. " Well I suggest we head towards the mountains and caves and start there", she said. She looked at him nervously. " I'm not going to ask you to do this. You don't have to come. Let me know if you don't want to.. and I'll continue on my own."

Chalce considered for a moment at the first things she said. He was a little hesitant, he had never gone so far without his parents. Tilting his head around to gaze at the mountains in the distance he frowned a little. "Should we go without an adult?" Though at her last words he had to shake his head back and forth. "I don't want you to go alone. I'd worry too much with you out there."
