"Eidel....yeah I think she was in the club. I really didn't talk to her all that much though. I mostly talked to Etain, Eyulf, and Reni." Maiya smiled, remembering Nessarose. She definitely knew her. "I remember Nessa. She and Eyulf were good friends. He actually had a huge crush on her, but unfortunately she liked someone else so he just let her go. Not sure if he still likes her or not."

Donnie chuckled as he listened to Maiya's story of his sister. A story that he would have probably never known otherwise. "That's too bad..." he said when she was done, even though he didn't know any of the namrah she spoke of. He shook his head as the realization struck him that he really needed to get out more. At least he had Maiya now he thought. "It's pretty...ironic that you knew my sisters when we were younger, and we're just meeting each other now." Ironic...he wasn't sure if that was the right word or not, but he went with it anyway. He smiled as he talked with her, he couldn't help it. He briefly hoped that he had a nice smile. A silly thing to worry about...he'd never worried about something like that before.

"Yeah, it is kinda ironic," Maiya concurred, smiling a bit. She wondered how many of his siblings she had met...or if there were any more. She thought for a minute, and then decided to ask, "How many siblings do you have?" It was nice learning about Donnie, and seeing where the pieces fit. She might solve the mystery of why they never met from those pieces.

He wondered whether it was a good thing or not that she seemed to be interested in his life. But he didn't mind the questions at all, and it gave him an opportunity to ask his own questions. He was interested in Maiya's life too. "I have five...Nessa and Eidel or course, Heve, Demitrio, and Iwona." He tilted his head to the side as he asked her the same question, "And what about you? You have siblings right?"

Maiya nodded before she listed out her siblings. "There's my sister Lucina and my brother Midas. I haven't seen them in a long time though." She pondered for a moment, before something clicked that really hadn't before. "I think Lucina and Demitrio lived with the same human. I think I met him once...he had this weird glowing thing that hovered around him. Lucina couldn't see it though." She wondered if she should be mentioning the glow. After all, what if Donnie never saw it? What if it meant she was insane? She doubted she was insane, but you never know.

Donnie was amazed that she knew still another one of his siblings. He chuckled at the mention of Demitrio and his glow. "Yeah...Frank..." That was the name Donnie had given the glow. He didn't mention anything about being able to hear it speak... "But yeah, that's my brother all right. Wish I could say I knew some of your family...or your friends, but I'm afraid I don't get out all that much..." he hung his head a little at the mention of his non social life.

Maiya smiled. She remembered that Demitrio said his glow's name was Frank. She noticed that he seemed down about not knowing her family and friends when it seemed like she knew almost the whole world. "It's alright. Most of the namrah I know I met when I was a kit or teen, only a couple as adult. For a while I stayed away from the clearing to comfort my mom when my dad disappeared. Sure, I popped in a couple times, but overall I wasn't all that social as an adult until a couple weeks ago."

Donnie felt a bit of sadness for her when she mentioned her dad. But they had already talked of those things, and he didn't want to talk of anything that might upset her. Her reason for not being social was because she was comforting her mom. He didn't have a reason. But he did feel comforted by her anyway, just the fact that she was trying. And it wasn't really that big of a deal that he didn't have many friends anyway. He just smiled at her and said, "Yeah..."
Soon they came to a fork in their path and also, a break in the trees. The mountain stood in front of them like a giant. The path seemed to wind around the mountain, one path on one side, and one on the other. They still had a lot of walking to do if they wanted to go up the mountain though. But they had time. He stopped and gazed up at the mountain range and then turned to smile at Maiya. "What do you think?"

Maiya looked upon the two paths, trying to decide which one would be best. She looked up at the sky, seeing where the sun was and where it was going. Within a moment she had her answer. "Hmm...how about down that path?" She asked. It seemed slightly less used than the other one, and it would actually give them a good view of the sun.
(It's about afternoon, right?)

(Yeah sure! XD)
Donnie nodded, "Sounds good to me." He began to walk down the path that she had picked, making sure he was still walking beside her. He had never been down this particular path before, so it was going to be new for both of them. Now that they were out of the shade of the trees, the sun shone down on them brilliantly. It was a nice day, not too hot, and not too cold, and the warmth from the sun felt very nice on Donnie's back.

Maiya wondered what sights they would see along this path. Thank goodness it was a beautiful day out. She walked for a little while before a butterfly came into view. It was a pretty orange and black butterfly, just flying across the path. "Wasn't that a monarch?"

Donnie also saw the orange and black butterfly that flew across their path. "Yeah, I think so." He took another glance back at the butterfly after it had passed. The way it flitted effortlessly through the air was somewhat inspiring. Perhaps he could use something like that in his writing. He looked away from the butterfly and back to Maiya. "Have you ever painted a butterfly?"

Maiya nodded. "A few times. Never as the center of attention though, they're usually in the background, near flowers." She generally had issues with things that move around a whole lot. Water was fine even if it was a waterfall because it usually moved in a certain way. Trees and plants may move in the wind, but they typically move back. Yet animals moved all the time, and she felt insecure painting them, afraid she would make a mistake. That's why they were usually background imagery in her works.

"Oh..." he said. "You like scenery better?" He liked scenery, but characters where always the biggest part of his imagination. That was best anyway. Characters were usually the most important part of a story. But with Maiya doing illustrations scenery could be a big part as well.

"More like I feel more comfortable with scenery," Maiya admitted. She knew that when it came to a story, both scenery and characters were important. She was going to have to get over her insecurity to make this story. A bit of practice, too.
